Well this is my fourth time round, I have 3 beautiful girls, Miranda 13, Hanna 8, and Kayleigh 6, and our little boy is on the way!
8 weeks left and can't wait! :)

Friday November 16th,2007
I have a doctors appointment on Monday, the usual, blood pressure, urine, measurement, and weight, nothing too exciting other that hearing my sons heartbeat, and hoping I gained a pound since the last time I was there. I also have an Ultrasound booked for December the 4th, can't wait. I've never had one this far along so it'll be interesting to see.

So I have a little situation, and to be honest I'm quite frustrated over the whole thing. I have been employed at this company that I now work for since the beginning of August this year. I am on 3 months probation. At the time that they hired me they did not know that I was pregant, but found out about a week later. At that time I made my intentions clear about maternity leave (going at 34 weeks) and the date that I would be returning, which would be late august next year, wheras my hubby would be taking the rest of the maternity leave. For my company this is a busy time of year to be returning (back to school) so I thought that they would be more than happy to have me return. (by the way I'm a cashier for a large department store).
My problem is that I have been asking for my maternity documents so I could get them filled out by my doc, but they refuse to give them to me. The excuse is wait until you get closer to the due date. Well, like I said, I'm still under probation technically, and haven't had me evaluation yet (due on the 23rd November) and still they refuse to give me my papers. Now here, by law I have to give 4 weeks notice of maternity leave, this I just found out yesterday. Well, I'm now approaching 34th week of pregnancy and have to give 4 weeks notice of leave. I am not working for another 4 weeks, that puts me almost at 39 weeks!! (I just wanted enough time to get my x-mas stuff done and get things ready for the baby) I don't feel this is right as there is also another girl that is only 19 weeks pregnant and already had her papers done, the only difference is she's been there a little less than a year, but had no problems.
I'm worried because it seems that I'm on my last stretch, my employment is all up in the air because I haven't had my evaluation yet, I don't know if they want me back (although I'm sure they do considering I'm a good cashier..always friendly polite, courteous, and love customer service), not to mention it feels like my plans are all going out the window...I have a docs appointment Monday aft, so I'm going to try and get my papers form hr in the morn, If they refuse, then I guess I'll have to try and get doc to release me early somehow....
I wouldn't want to walk away from this job because in my small town it took me four months just to get a job. It's not the most money, and it's part time ( 30 to 40 hrs a week) but none the less it's secure.
Grrrrrr I'm just so frustrated with this whole thing!

Went to my doctors appointment today, and I have to say I'm a touch dissapointed. For starters, why does it seem each time I have a question my doc doesn't have time to answer? And he doesn't take time with me at all. It's weight, pee, the cuff, the measure, and the heartbeat..that's it. No messing around. He used to be a good doctor, he delivered both my Hanna and Kayleigh, and back then he used to take the time with me. But it's different this time. Maybe because he won the physician of the year award or something. Or booked with too many appointments. Either way, I'd like to stick with him because of him delivering my other two children but I'm increasingly finding myself annoyed that he no longer is the doctor he used to be.
On to the good stuff....my sons heartbeat was 140 today, and I'm measuring 31 cm. I weigh 110, gaining what I should be...I was almost 109 last time (2 weeks ago). At least I think that's about right.I wouldn't know doc never said anything about my weight gain....and my blood pressures back to the norm..yay!! Oh yes, and heartburn here we go lol

Just reporting that I'm having a very happy day today! I got my papers from work and now I can get the ball rolling finally. A sure sign that our baby will soon be here!!

I'm finding as each day progresses, I'm getting more and more tired. And having massive mood swings. I went to work yesterday for a 9 hour shift (stand on my feet all day) well, the baby is now sitting on my siatic nerve. I went from being in an ok mood to crying because my back was killing me, to getting upset and almost freaking out on a customer because my till was closed, with a closed sign and he kept standing there expecting me to serve him when my lunch was already an hour late. How frustrating! Needless to say I just wanted to be home and comfortable. All in all, by the end of my shift I was cramping, my hips were sooo sore. I couldn't wait to get home and lay down. I find when I'm at work, I'm ok for the first few hours but then my body starts telling me to slow down and take it easy, (via cramping, back pain, fatigue)

I went to my doctors appointment today and everything was great! I've gained 2 lbs in two weeks..I think that's pretty good, and my doc said it was fine. My baby's heartbeat was 150, and blood pressure was fine. All in all no worries. :)

December 3 2007
Today is my Birthday!!! YAY!!! And the kids have a snow day!!

December 4, 2007
I had my ultra sound today, and have to say I am extremely pleased...sort of. My baby is 6lbs 2 oz right now, and I still have 4 more weeks to go. The pleasing thing is that all of my other children were born at around 6 lbs. full term, so it's nice to know that this ones a little bigger. My doc says he (absolutely confirmed today) should be about 7 lbs if not bigger by the time he's born..YAY!!! Wait a minute, my doc also said he might get stuck if he keeps growing at this rate and I might have to have a c-section. Now that's scary! I had all of my other children through vaginal births with no complications..I'm nervous as hell now, so I guess I'll have to read up on it. Anyway, I am extremly happy to say the least!

December 9,2007
Well, my middle daughter Hanna has gotten the Chicken Pox!!, Friday, she had a fever, but only a slight one for the night, nothing too bad, and wasn't eating very much. This happened around dinner time. Anyway, gave her some advil and she went to sleep for the night. Yesterday, I noticed she had what appeared to be a pimple on her forehead, I looked at it but never thought anything of it. This morning she woke up and said she was itchy...I got her to show me her belly ...well lo and behold, she was covered in red spots, so I checked the rest of her over and yes, she had them everywhere, especially her back armpits and you know where. Anyway, tonight, these bumps had turned into the tell tale signs of chicken pox. I have 2 other daughters, one 13, (Miranda) and one 7 (kayleigh) that haven't had them yet. I suspect that these two will get them shortly also. Thank goodness I've already had them. For my other 2 daughters, better they get them now than later.I'm going to take Hanna to the docs if he has a spot open tomorrow to make sure and ask question. I read than only early on in pregnancy the fetus if exposed could cause birth defects, so being 36 weeks, I think I'm ok. It's a shame it happened now, but I guess when I was a little girl, my brother and I had them at Christmas also.

"The Chicken Pox Party"
December 21, 2007
Well, I can't believe it! Seems to me I am having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions today, after I went Christmas shopping with my mom. We were gone about 10:30 this morning and didn't get back until about 4. I started having them about 2 1/2 hours ago. They are pretty frequent and a little uncomfortable but not enough to make me want to go to the hospital. Not to mention, it's just me and my two youngest here. Daddy's at work! The weird thing is, unless I never noticed, I haven't lost my mucous plug yet, but I've had an increase in dis... for about 2 weeks now. I kind of hope this is progress, but not too much as I would like to have our son at least after Christmas!
Here's another update.Yesterday I had to pick up my youngest, (Kayleigh) at school because she said she had a belly ache.Brought her home, she had a very slight fever, but I thought she was just warm from being under blankets. Anyway, I sent her to school this morning, not really thinking she was that bad. No phone calls so I figured she was a-ok. Picked her up after school, to me she looked really tired, you know bags under her eyes and stuff. Well she was complaining that she was itchy, so I looked and guess what?...Here we go again! She has gotten the Chicken pox!...Hanna just got over them this week.
Needless to say, I haven't nearly done my x-mas shopping and I came home to a really messy house, my daughter has the chicken pox, and I'm having the BH contractions! This is crazy!
Oh well, take it in stride...if this doesn't give me an excuse to be crazy I don't know what will! lolol
