Hi, I went to my midwife at 25 weeks and was measuring 28 weeks they give you 3 either way I think. I hope this has answered your question. We are on our holiday to the in law house next weekend in sunderland, I am looking forward to it, hope you are ok x

hi...im not sure if it would be too late to change or not i guess theres no harm in trying, i agree and think you need to feel comfortable with your midwife after all they are meant to be there to put your mind at ease and answer any questions you have..give it a try and take it from there..let me know how you get on x

Hi, if it helps I too am from the Uk and you have seen your midwife 2 more times than me! I fell out with the first one she was rushing me and I ended up leaving a pee sample by the door. Here in the UK they kind of leave you to it like they did in victorian days but if you do have any problems ring them up and make an appointment they can't reffuse to see you. It really is the way they do things and I think it is wrong oh so wrong. But first time mothers get to see them more than what second time mums do so do not worry I have found this site a saviour as I would be at the doctors everyday if I hadn't have known others were feeling the same also. i hope ti gets better for you. How are you coping with the pregnancy so far? I hope all is well x

Hi I am from the UK and I was given a plan of how often I see the midwife which she gave me the first time I saw her. I have been seeing her every 4 weeks lately and now I am week 32 will see her every 2 weeks until wk 36 then it will be weekly, hopw this helps. Also, you should have more blood took at 28 weeks to check your iron levels and immunities etc so you should see her then too.

Im doing good so far, i had a lot of sickness at the beginning but thankfully i managed to shake it off when i reached about 10-11 weeks :o) I am so excited about my 20 week scan!! It will put my mind at rest loads, i just worry all the time and im doing my own head in, I ought to enjoy my pregnancy and look forward to my 1st baby but instead every little twinge, ache or pain i am on the phone to the midwife!! Hey,

I had no idea that I was titled prior to my pregnancy but I found out that both my mom and aunt are titled too. So it could just run in the family. I was wondering (and I know every women is different)since we're both on the end of our 25th week, if you can feel your uterus above your belly button yet!?!?

I can't and I just seeing if that common for titled uteres'

Thanks for your response and have a good weekend.
Robin

The rib pain could be from pressure of the baby. Or it could be someting else. At my high risk doc office they asked me if I have been having some rib pain.. mainly on the right side. I said yes but off and on and they said thats normal but if it hurts all day and doesnt seem to go away then to let them know. Not sure how serious it is but maybe you should ask your doctor about it just to be safe.

I don't know y that is but mine hurt too. My theory is that since we sleep on our sides all the time now the weight of the baby is getting to us? Nt sure

I had to go to the hospital because i lost a lot of water today, at least a cup load...but it turns out it was my bath water!!!! because my womb has swollen up and got bigger, it can now fill up with bath water... it was very scary, but thankfully nothing to worry about. Defo, go get checked, cos i think infections can cause similar symptoms.

carlybarleyx - Friday, 6 June
My hind waters went on monday and I'm 28+1..sounds a similar to what you had. I would call midwife and get checked over hun. Might be nothing but better safe than sorry.

Yeah Nancy is right...go get it checked...wear a sanitary towel to make it easier for them to check and see if it is amniotic fluid...but def go get it checked...TODAY!.....good luck honey xxx

hon please contact your midwife - sounds like your waters may have ruptured - it's been known to happen, although quite rare... from what I've been told it's nothing serious, they just need to know, as it may mean the baby is susceptible to infection and may need a dose of antibiotics... my midwife told me it could happen at any time, and won't always result in labour - you can go a whole PG without knowing... but she said if you feel very wet (like you didn't make it to the loo on time), it could be a rupture, or a leak in the sac, which is causing fluid to leak out... and said that if we even suspected it, we should go in to be checked out - rather safe than sorry!

good luck!
