Life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride
My Story:
Hello All......I am a 31 year old mother of three! I have been blessed with a beautiful 11 year old (biological) daughter from a previous marriage as well as two step-children from my current marriage (a 6 year old boy and a 7 year old girl)....and now expecting our first together. Needless to say...we are always busy, busy, busy.
Thank you to all who have left me the positive messages!!! It really helps to know other ladies have gone through similar situations and can share advice and well wishes!!! Baby dust to all of you TTC'ers and congrats to those who have conceived and are sharing their nine month journeys and beyond!

I'm not tiny, the pictures must trick you. I've also gained 11-12 pounds. I'm 4 months on Sunday. So I figure if I can stay under 30 I'm OK. It's hard to watch your body poof out, but I try to remember it';s temporary and a wonderful thing. (My face seems to have gained afew pounds. I wanted to be that super cute pregnant woman who just had a baby belly. Oh well...) :) :)

I'm doing the AFP testing - they'll get the sample from the amnio Wednesday. I feel the same way, very peaceful and know it's a healthy baby (BOY!). I'm still cautiously peaceful, I guess the ectopic made me that way...

I had my test done a day before I turned 14 weeks and I was sure everything was cook and dandy well a week later they called me and said I had screened positive and I cried all that night and the next but now I've been hearing that pretty much everyone things it's a worthless test because it's pretty much based on statistics, age, ethnic etc.,,,,,so I will have another ultrasound on Monday to see if they see anything wrong because even the Dr. has said there has been a lot of screen positive's and the babys are born perfectly healthy! If I was you I woudn't do it because first of all you are still young and I took it cuz I didn't know any better and I will be 35 when I do give birth. Just thought I let you know that if I do plan having another baby after this one,,,,,,,,,I'm saying NO to the AFP I'd rather have the ultrasounds and then go from there. Good luck!

Too funny about your message about not eating certain foods. I'm pretty much the same way. No caffiene, no unpasterized cheese, no lunchmeat. But what is funny is that a couple of weeks ago, I did ask the waiter if the blue cheese was pasterized and he asked his manager. lol! The manager said that most cheese in the U.S. are pasterized, except for the imported cheese. I did eat one shrimp last night. It was deep fried and I felt guilty. lol! Maybe once a week I might eat a piece of chocolate. I also heard that white chocolate does not have caffiene whether that is true or not. But don't feel bad. I'm pretty much the same way. :)

That's awesome - a boy with a full head of hair!! It will be interesting to see if we really are having a boy. All of the chinese baby prediction charts say it's a girl....so who knows.
