My name is Gretchen and my husband is Auggie. We have been married for five years. We started trying to conceive for our first child in the summer of 2007. I got pregnant in November 2007. Unfortunately, I had an early miscarriage in December 2007 at five weeks. After taking one month off from trying we are back and hope our next pregnancy will be a sticky one!

May 17th: CD#15 FINALLY got a "high fertility" reading on the monitor this morning. I am so relieved that both I and the fertility monitor are working properly. I was beginning to wonder if I was not going to ovulate or if the monitor was not functioning properly. But, finally, I got "high fertility"! We BDd the last two nights just in case, but we will continue to BD for a bit longer...until the monitor tells me it's okay to stop (smile). Today is our five-year wedding anniversary so I really hope that means positive conception vibes!!!

May 16th: CD#14. Still getting "low fertility" on the monitor. When, oh when, will I ovulate this month? Hmph!

May 14th: CD#12 The fertility monitor is still giving me "low fertility." It is supposed to give you "high fertility" for a few days before you get your "peak fertility", but I have been getting "low fertility" since CD#6. I really hope it starts giving me my "high fertility" notice in the next couple of days. If this monitor is correct, DH and I have been BDing too early and missing my ovulation day. I hope I am doing everything correctly and it is working properly. I will keep trying!

May 9th: CD#8. The fertility monitor is fun! Auggie and I both wake up every morning excited about pressing the button. In fact, today Auggie stayed home this morning for an extra five minutes just to see the result on the monitor. As of today, I still have low fertility, which is understandable since AF only left the building two days ago. I am hoping it will start giving me high fertility results starting on CD#10 or #11. My cycle has been very regular the past two months so I am expecting to ovulate around CD#14 or #15. Incidentally, our five year wedding anniversary is May 17th, my predicted ovulation day this month. What a wonderful wedding present for us to find out two weeks later that we actually conceived on our five year anniversary. Gosh that would be so wonderful.

May 2nd: CD#1. AF here. We are going to start using the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor this month. Hopefully, that will help. This will be round four after the early M/C in December 07.

April 08: BFN

March 08: BFN

February 08: BFN

January 08: Month off from TTC after M/C

Great website, thanks!

You WILL get BFP, you'll see. Let's hope we get it together this month!!!!! :)

lulu99 - Thursday, 8 May
Great advice! What do you use to check your mucus? Thanx!

Thank you for that inspiring message! :) Are you trying to conceive as well? Do you have any kids?

Hiya,

Yes, I'm still working on the novel. Or, rather, I began writing it and I'm in my "thinking" stage. Or, better yet, I started it and I've been a bit hectic and haven't written anything for a few days.

You got the monitor? Yay! Let me know how that works for you.

In the meantime, I'll get writing. (I've got classes coming up again soon [I go for full weekends once a month: Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday], so in true Candice fashion, I am once again cramming. That's the REAL reason for not having sent the novel.)

:)

XO

I am not sure when I ovulated, I didn't keep track. We just did the BD between days 9-15. lol I got AF on 4/2 so I am at least 12-16 past ovulation I'm sure. I do have an appointment for a blood test tomorrow. Thanks for the advice and I'll keep you posted!

TexasMommyWannaBe - Wednesday, 7 May
You are too cute... and very knowledgable on this subject, girl! I saw your posts! Sooo, what do you think? A week late, did the BD last month at the right times, I think. lol Also, I have a weird sensation ... down there. lol But other than that, I really don't "feel" preggo. How are you doing?

bigmuma - Wednesday, 7 May
WOMAN your a walking text book lol. Good luck with your TTC. x

Hi! Thanks so much for the response! I am 2 days past ovulation and my nipples seem really sensitive. My bbs arent sore but it is just my nipples. If I squeeze them even a little little bit they hurt! I dont ever remember having that before so I wasnt sure if that was normal. :-) If it stays like this up until AF and if my bbs get bigger and more sore then I could be PG??

Greenville is nice. It has grown so much. I'm in Columbia...not that exciting. Yeah- I was not happy to see AF--but it's okay. Hope everything works out for you!

I can't imagine what you've gone through... my TTC process wasn't very long but even for the two months that we did try - it killed me to see a BFN and it was so nerve wracking. I can sort of understand what you're going through - but I have faith that you'll get your BFP!! It's in God's hands and he'll see to it that you become a mommy!! Just keep your head high! :0) As always, I'll be thinking about you and I'll keep checking in too!! Try and have a great week!!

Yeah I guess I should've reworded that a little better, I don't HATE the name Gunner per say, I just don't like it. I'm not fond of it. My favorites so far are: Mason, Preston, Nathaniel and Greyson for boys and my fav for girls are Ava, Madelyn, Gracie, and Cadance. However, I am so in love with Ava -- that I am fairly certain that will be our girl name if this is a girl. My husband likes Cash as well for a boy - but I cannot have a one syllable first name, since we have to have a one syllable middle name. AGHHHH the joys of picking out names... it's such a life changing decision and there is not going back... oh dear!

Well I am getting really anxious for you... only 5 more days until Saturday. Do you feel any different this month!? A lot of friends, that have been trying for quite sometime, seem to be getting pregnant this month -- so I am praying real hard that's the case for you as well. Keep me posted! :0)

Btw - I love the name Grant!! :0)

J9 - Thursday, 24 April
thanks! I'm pretty resigned to the fact that this will not be our month. My body just doesn't feel right. Maybe we'll be up for a february baby? who knows.. both mike and I were born in feb and so were heaps of our relatives :-)
I hope all's well with you.. good luck with the waiting game, hope you're in for a VERY LONG WAIT... say 9 months or so!!

rylansmommy23 - Tuesday, 22 April
Hey Gretchen! Thought id pop by and see if you started using the FM, how is that working for you? Is it pretty easy to use? What makes it different from opk kits? I KNOW I KNOW so many questions.......please do it for me this month, Im feeling really sad today (pms'ing) this whole ttc has gotten to me...I could use some good news from ya! I know"no pressure" ha ha ha

luvmybugkay - Tuesday, 22 April
What is Nia?? I've never heard of that!

Well I am getting a bump now, I've sort of just popped over the weekend it seems. I'll be posting a pic on Friday. Can't believe I'm 12 weeks already. It's going fast. Please keep me posted!! Obviously though, I'll keep checking in on you (and rylansmommy23 too)!! I'm praying really hard for you guys!! In the meantime, just try and enjoy the BD experience with your DH. :0)

TexasMommyWannaBe - Tuesday, 22 April
Hey there, thanks for your response to my cat question! I should invest in some gloves and a mask; great advice! You and your hubby are too cute... I hope you are having a great experience ttc!! :) Pam

luvmybugkay - Monday, 21 April
Hey hun! Thanks for the birthday wishes... how are you doing!? When do you test? I'm still sending you my baby dust!! Praying really hard for you!! Take care hun!

J9 - Saturday, 19 April
Hey! Good Luck this month.. I'm on CD 14 but still getting negatives on my OPK. Still hopeful, last time I got pregnant I ovulated on CD19. Lots of baby dust to you!

Candice - Thursday, 17 April
Sounds like the hubby is smart! :) Have you tried charting your temps? Cervical mucous? (For the record, my BF cringes at that term. When I told him about the mucous plug back when I was pregnant in the fall, he nearly fainted.)

But yeah, seriously, we need some +'s SOON. Real soon. Like now.
