Birth story of Virginia Sue:

Virginia Sue was born Sept. 20th at 3:37pm. Weighing 8lbs 10.9 oz and 20.5 inches long. She was delivered via csection after waiting one week over for her debut with no dilation or signs of labor. We almost had to wait another day for her to come because there were too many other moms giving natural birth! However we got the call at noon to come in at 1pm. Things went very quickly from there, I was only in the labor room for about an hour. Then I was taken into surgery where I was really scared at first because Stephen was not there, they gave me my spinal block and it felt really weird not being able to move my legs, and I started to panic because my arm was going numb. I tried to cough as well and it was really hard to do so. I kept saying to the nurses though that I wanted to be awake to hear the baby cry, that I didn't get to with Aisling. Finally Stephen showed up, and I asked if they had started which they had. I could NOT FEEL A THING. It was so great! I sat there telling Stephen how much I loved him, and then I heard little Gin Gin's cry. I cried immediately, and just kept thanking the nurses, then they brought her over and I was able to hold her, and kiss her, and cry over her, it was one of greatest moments in my life. Nothing will ever be able to take that from me, and whether I will have to be knocked out for the others doesnt matter now because I got to experience that feeling at least once.

Afterwards was soo much better than the last time, I was very well aware of what was going on, and very awake. I was able to walk the next day and I just have to say overall my recovery period has been WAY WAY better and less. I thank all of you that walked me through these past months, especially those that assured me that the section was not a bad idea. During the section they saw that my uterus lining was thin in the lower end, therefore doing a vaginal birth actually could have led to other complications, so again I thank all of you that talked me into doing what was best. The doctor has assured me that I should be able to have at least two more pregnancies, which of course I plan on doing in the future :).

In the past week, Gin Gin has just been like any other baby :). Just as calm as Aisling, which I think she is trying to trick me into having another before 30 ;). Aisling LOVES her sister, can not stand hearing her cry and gives her lots of kisses. And as the week has gone by Aisling has been growing herself :) acting like everything is a phone and saying "hello" up to her ear with it :). My girls are so awesome, I could not ask for more. LOL I guess hubby is awesome too ;) More updates to come below to music ;).

As you can tell, I suck at updating lol. I will try to get better, but many of you get the updates about me through chat....SO GO TO CHAT lol. Anyways, Aisling is now 1!!! YAY...And believe it or not her sister did not want to come out either (I am not surprised lol). So tomorrow I am going in for my section in the morning. There are some disappointments to this, but all in all I am going to have a healthy little girl by tomorrow afternoon, CRAZY. Things are all well on the homefront, wish I had more money lol but we are well. I hope to keep up more with blogging since Aisling seems to do more cute stuff everyday and I seem to forget what date she does it and what she did for the baby book. Hope all is well with you mommies, and I will def. give the birth story in all its glory when I get back on Monday. Take care for now!

Here we are yet again. That is what I was thinking Tuesday night as I sat in L&D, after headaches for three nights in a row I decided to go in, hoping for good news. AND it was! Lol my blood pressure was great! I just now get migraines..new to me lol. Little Aisling is so cute! She has all four front teeth which she uses to chew up her biter biscuits like nothing. AND the past two days she has started to "dance" lol. Today her sister had her 30 week appointment. She is behaving well but needs to get out of breech position! She has 6 more weeks to decide to do so, SO SHE BETTER lol. Thats it for now :)

Tons to update :). Little Aisling seems to do something new every day. She is now clapping, and saying hi while waving, VERY CUTE. She is also pulling herself up to a standing position and the sitter today said that she found her standing in the play pen not holding onto anything! TROUBLE TROUBLE lol. As for her sister, Virginia had an appointment today and all is good with her, at least the doctor didn't say anything about her. I am really worried about getting preclamp :(. Today I was looking at the birthing plan for her, and i started reading the delivery part and realized how much I missed with Aisling, I cried, it still hurts me very much that I had to have a csection, it even hurts more that I was knocked out and didnt even get to hear her first cry, or hold her first, or well, I am starting to tear up just thinking about it. Hubby is not being very great either lately, he is going back to his old ways, playing games and thinking that cooking dinner is enough for him. I don't think he really gets how tired I am...I mean when I am on my feet for 8 hours, the last thing I want to do is clean or anything for that matter. Well that is it for now :). OHH BTW: BP 125/88 (second reading), and weighing in at 225, 7lbs up from last visit in April.

Tired. Very tired today but managed to feed animals and clean out the cages. Really just don't want to be at work lately, rather be at home getting things back in order. Bugger (kitty) is right next to me right now purring up a storm, lol so cute. I did find out that Thursday is going to be pretty interesting because there will be no working restroom in the facility, I don't know how well that is all going to work! Nothing new with Aisling, still cute as ever, we are now finding her sitting up in the crib and she is doing this wave thing with her hand, like she is saying hello or goodbye, too cute.

No time. That is how I feel. No time and no money. Every time I turn around it seems that I am constantly behind. I guess that is mother hood. I other news little Aisling has been crawling for a week! AND HER SISTER IS OKAY! Little Virginia has been doing little kicks but nothing felt to the outside world or seen :). We finally got her bedding which is called French Toile :). Now we just got to get Aisling's bed, a dresser, a swing and an umbrella stroller. Little Aisling does the cutest things everyday including learning how to blow and wave her hand :) It is sooo much fun watching her grow!

Alot has happened the past two nights that has my world spinning. Last night I got a call from genetic counceling saying that they wanted to talk to me. And that was it. After 4 hours of crying, racing heart, I was told that it didn't look like much. Well this morning after talking to genetic counc. it does seem like SOMETHING. I am hoping that it was just a glitch in the u/s but they are suspecting that little Virginia has a hole between the two chambers of her upper heart. Of course it could have been WAY worse, but I am just praying for the best and hoping everything is good. Little Aisling is still trying to crawl her hardest but not going anywhere :(. I feel for her cause she really is trying but her little legs wont go lol. too cute too cute. Well hope all of you are well!

Just when you think that no one would care if you were gone you learn that it really is not that way. Tonight I learned that someone at one of my works died. He was an older gentleman who was always telling me that I shouldn't work there because of the chemicals and such. I really just took it as fatherly advice and went along my day. Well two weeks ago he was having a conversation with me how short life is and how the money is not worth it. We said goodnight to each other, I found out today that he died a couple hours after that from a heartattack :(. Sigh, very sad. On another note, Aisling is now 8 months old :). AND tomorrow stephen and I celebrate 4 years together! YAY!!!

Nothing special today, I was feeling a little dizzy for a little bit but then it went away. Aisling looked soo sweet today in church with her green dress. Stephen is still doing an incredible job with the house and everything...Well off to bed for me, take care everyone!

I felt the baby today :). I was cleaning the floor at my work and I felt a thump thump thump :). It was great :) As for little Aisling she is giving me smiles and mocking the noises I make. I am pretty sure that she said mama today :).

Happy St. PATTY's DAY! Ahh another St. Patty, without any green beer :). Everything is going well here, just really busy with things. Stephen and I got a house for rent now YAY!! And little Aisling now has TWO TEETH!! WHOA! In the evenings I am pretty busy at work OR I am busy with my little one so sorry if I have not been in touch with any of you. As for the other little bean, besides being HELLA tired, and having some morning sickness I really can't tell that I am yet. I am growing way faster than the last time BUT thats it :). I have an appointment March 28th, so we will see how that goes. Catch you all later

Nothing much to update today, got some chicken for little Aisling to try out :). Man had morning sickness in the middle of Walmart parking lot :(. The coughing from being sick just irritates my tummy :(. OH we also got Aisling her little pool floaty thing so when it gets hot she will have it already to go :). Now we just got to get her a little swim suit and sun block :). She is SOOOO SPOILED!

I am super super busy lately. With the little one, my little bean, new job and being sick the past week I have not even been on to check email that much. Life of a mom is pretty busy work. I did tell my new job that I am pregnant. She was pretty surprised but said that we would find ways to work around it. I am due Sept. 13th :) Just like I thought. So now it is just a matter of waiting till May 1st to find out if it is a boy or a girl.

Okay, its been awhile. BUT EXCITING NEWS :) I am pregnant again! I am about 5 weeks. I have to say though I think I am dealing with more depression this time because of everything going on. I have alot of stress at work that I wish would just go away but it isnt :(. I feel horrible. Anyways, wish me luck, I am hoping for a boy this time around and his name will be Stephen Theodore Griffin. IF NOT :) then we will be blessed with another girl, her name will be Virginia Sue Griffin :)....So another griffin is coming, time to sharpen my griffin sword LOL (joke for the old chat people checking up on me).

Its been a couple days. So been pretty done lately :(..I didn't get a job that I was really hoping for so back out on the pavement I go. It is hard to get a job in my area because SOO many people are graduating with science degrees that interviewers can be very picky about who they take. LOL tonight I came home and little Aisling was sitting up supported by the couch being a little couch potato. Very cute :). Tomorrow she gets shots so we will see how adorable she is then :). Well off to eating noodles..YUM

AISLING is now FOUR months :). You know, I use to think that my husband would be SO helpful and understanding. After four months now, I understand why they always say that child raising depends so much on the mom. I love my husband very much, but he doesnt seem to understand my needs at all. He pretty much does whatever he wants, not really noticing the house going down the drain. He gets home, takes a bath, relaxes afront of the comp. While I have been with Aisling all day. And he doesnt even ask if I would like a break, I have to call him and ASK HIM....It gets on my nerves, and the house isnt getting any cleaner...I guess I could just sleep less..but why should I always have to lose sleep? We both decided to have Aisling, not just me...Anyways, Aisling is now reaching her hands up when she wants to get picked up LOL and kind of tossing things to the side that she doesnt like. She wasnt the most pleasant today but I think it is because she has a tummy ache :(....Well time to go back and take care of her.

SALES REPS SUCK. The sales guy at my work is really getting demanding and annoying. Things are not really going right, and I am really depressed, but little Aisling seems to keep me happy. She has a way of looking at me that makes me forget my problems just for a little while. I took another pregnancy test tonight just to make sure that I am really not pregnant, and again, I am not pregnant :(. Oh well there is always next month. Next week I turn 26, sigh, closer to 30! AHHH. Well off to bed for me.

so I want to start writing in here everyday that way I can kind of wind down for the night :). Today was a pretty slow day at work until the end, sales rep came in around 630 wanting to discuss some things...EVEN THOUGH I AM OFF AT 7 errr. I never seem to get out of there on time.. In fact I seem to not do anything on time anymore. Little Aisling is starting to kick very hard, and she was having a blast tonight laying on the floor cooing away. I enjoyed her very much, except she stayed up WAY past her bed time LOL...

nothing really new today to report..did some overtime at work, and may have an extra whole day of overtime...PERFECT, just in time for the holidays :)...Aisling is now a size two diaper! Man what a little piggy LOL. The situation with the sitter is not getting any better, I really hope that I can get her a new one soon. Although, the brother is back at work tomorrow so maybe things will get better again. I was thinking tonight what do I like more--pregnant sex or TTC sex...I would have to flip for it LOL. Aisling was adorable tonight, she just sat and stared at me while she fell asleep, what a little ducky.

Well the results are in for the first test...BIG FAT NO...Oh well didn't expect things to come back positive so soon anyways. And we are very happy with our little one :)...She is starting to eat cereal, smiling, and having fun with some of her toys..Still bald as ever though :).
Work right now is kind of stressful because I am having to learn a new machine that I have never worked on before..and well my house could really use someones touch in it...really wish sometimes I had a maid :)...Other than that I can't complain.....I can't wait till Aisling is sitting up, she is trying REALLY hard LOL...oh and she LOVES the morning show for Sacramento..haha a news buff like her mom ;)...

Hey! Aisling is Three months this week! How exciting! She is actually already starting to teethe ( I KNOW SHE IS EARLY FOR ONCE HAHAH) She is drooling everywhere and making lovely spit bubbles and rasberries...Very cute, very cute indeed. I look at her and still get that amazing feeling that I am now a mom, finally.
Working is very hard, especially with my little one. Some mornings I just want to lie in bed with her and enjoy every giggle, every coo..but I have to go to work. Plus I don't really have time for me anymore, when I get home it is time to make dinner, and then time to get ready for bed, any free time is really filled up with her or cleaning house..
However, we love our little Aisling soo much that we have decided to try for another :) After the heartache of waiting 2 1/2 years for her arrival we are hoping to have better luck this time around...However, it doesn't look like that is going to happen :( I am just having my first period since having Aisling today...cross your fingers though :) there is always Christmas time LOL. Okay off to work I go!

Long time no write..Amazing how much time a kid takes :) Even more amazing how much time looking for a job takes! Mostly that is what I have been dealing with, either her or job :) I love being a mom, but I dont like the stress of not knowing where the money to pay for things is going to come from. Anyways :) she is starting to smile, and yesterday she actually did her first roll! The past couple days she has started wanting to be very close to mommy, for example, she will usually sleep in her bassinet but lately, everytime I put her in there she wants back out!! Well we will see we will see :). I am still pretty amazed that I am a mom HAH! LOL I also find myself questioning everyone who calls her cute..like i think "do they really think she is cute? or just saying so?" cause if they are not, MAN I HAVE A REALLY CUTE BABY HEHE...doesnt really matter i guess, I think she is the most adorable thing in the world. Esp. when she gets mad lol she looks like an old man--will try and get a pic this next month of it..again, its adorable..well enjoy the new pics and leave me a message :)

First off, thanks to everyone for the congrats and well wishes, and breast feeding advice :). I am sitting here right now trying to scarf down as fast as possible some cereal so i can take medicine and then get some more sleep. SHE IS A HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPO!!! At the same time, it comes in waves of what has actually happened...Im mom....I never thought I was going to be...and now..I am...She is so precious,,,I didnt really get to cry or anything in the hospital cause I was sooo doped up and in such pain that most of my energy went towards just feeding her....But i think about it when I watch her feed...and tears just fall....everything in my life I have had to fight so hard for ....and I am soo glad that I didnt give up getting her...Okay got to go before my little ducky wakes up again wanting my boobies :)....

WOW!!! I didn't realize how popular I am LOL...........WELL...I guess you are all dying to know:

Aisling was born August 15th 2:12pm by csection. She is perfectly fine, 20.5 inches, 7lbs 10 ounces, and total BEAUTY!!!! Mommy is still really sore and the run down is pretty much as follows:

went in August 14th for contractions at 430am, was told that i was in early stage and to walk around, then i was told that i going to be induced again because of protein in the blood, started induction around 9am, water broke at 3pm, but still only 2cm!! Went like that all night with pain, and infection starting to show up, so then they checked me at 5am where i was 3cm, and then at 9am 5cm..but that is where it stopped....I was whipped away for an emergency csection, I lost 1/2 my blood, and found out my bladder is actully VERY high in my body, cause it almost got cut open!!! Aisling is wonderful though and stays asleep most of the time for now...OKAY i will message all of you back soon!

THANKS SO MUCH!!! My mom is doing better. My parents got their power back after not having it for a little over two days. My mom was down to only having 1 tank of oxygen. There are so many familys that lost so much. I hope to take some pictures and post them so you guys can see. I'm to thankful that my family is ok now. I hope to get on often so I can catch up on everything. CONGRATS to those of you that have had your little ones and I thinks its great that I have such awsome friends on this site. THANKS again. Hi everyone! Aloha from Sierra. She had her 4-month Well Baby visit on Monday and weighed 13 pounds 9 ounces (50th percentile). She's long and lean at 23 1/2 inches (75th - 90th percentile) but has a peanut head (25th percentile). Overall, she's doing splendid.

We're on the plane right now - heading to California to see the family. It's rather exciting except that the oil filter on the plane has to be replaced so rather than revving the engines and taking off, we headed back to the gate for a repair. It's a little scary if you ask me and we've successfully missed our transfer flight. At least the kid is chill! So, if you hear about Flight 92 crashing, you'll know who was on it! I'm trying to catch up on all my messages. Sorry I havn't been on much nor for very long we had a really bad wind storm and my parents still don't have power. Ours has been working its been an off and on thing. It might be a little while when I can sit down and catch up but I will do my best. Please keep my mom in your prayers her name is Mary and she's on oxygen and is running low and she needs power and soon. Alot of homes had alot of damage from the 90 mph winds we had MANY trees have been up rooted.

Congrats to you on your second girl! Some people think it's strange when you marry your high school sweetheart, but when it's right--it's right :)
Your daughter is precious (by the way)--and that is great that she will have a built-in playmate with them being so close! (My brother and I were 17 months apart, and we always played really well together).

Hi All! i hope every one of you is doing well! I just wanted to drop alittle update on my beautiful little man. He was running a fever last week and I "know" he's teething, but I thougth maybe he had an ear infection. My middle son, Andrew, always had ear infections and unfortunately teething has the same symptoms. So, anyhow, I took Nicholas in to the doc to have his ears checked only for the doctor to tell me, "It looks like a classic case of infant teething syndrome to me" Okay...make a fool out of me..lol. You will never guess how much Nicholas weighd when he stepped on the scale (yes, he's too big for the baby scale) My little Pork chop is 27#. He will be 1 year old on Saturday the 26th and I am eagerly finalizin all of the plans for his Birthday bash. We invited everyone we could and It will be overwhelming for him, I am sure. I will post LOTS of pictures afterward. I did add our 4th of July vacation-week photos so if you haven't looked at those, take a peek when you have a minute. Okay, well the orajel & tylenol are working for now so I better get to bed. 5am wake-up for work comes awfully early. Love all of you, my girls (& guy) Take care of you & your babies! Hey mommies and soon to be mommies! I have some news bout my job. Im going to be going to day shift well 9am to 530pm starting on monday. Im very excited because im am currently workn 3-11pm and i dont get to have my evening time with my girl! So its exciting to be able to do all the evening stuff ya know...bath time all the fun stuff.

We got her the jumperoo for christmas. If I'd known before how much of a lifesaver it was, I would have bought it sooner! Sophi gives everyone those big sloppy kisses, but it cracked me up to see her do it to the mirror

I'll try to get in chat sometime. I usually can't stay on the computer too long though because Sophi always crawls up to me, pulls herself up and starts hitting the keyboard. If I try to tell her no, she screams at me and tries to bite my hand! I really have a difficult time trying not to laugh when she does that :)
