My name is Heather. My Hubby, Carlos, and I found out we were pregnant on January 12th. At first, I was very scared but abortion or adoption never crossed my mind. It took Carlos' reassurrance for me to come around to the idea that WE would be having a baby. I knew Carlos and I would get married one day but I would have rather waited to start a family. I guess sometimes someday comes sooner than expected. Well we can't go back into time and to be honest, we wouldn't change it for the world. Our plans now? We will be officially married on August 11th. Our actual ceremony and honeymoon will be the following spring due to the fact that I won't have to waddle down the isle and I have always wanted a spring wedding anyway, lol. I absolutely cannot wait to welcome Little Carlos into the world! I know having him here will only strengthen our relationship and bring us closer together. Carlos and I just signed on our first house and we are super excited about that. I will now be able to start decorating his nursery and I have so many plans!

I haven't really had the so-called pregnacy cravings other than I have been drinking a lot of milk lately, oh, and ice cream I have never been big on milk until now. I have been told that the cravings you get are ones that you actually need more of. There is actually an article about this so if you are interested, http://babycenter.com/0_food-cravings-and-what-they-mean_1313971.bc?scid=momspreg_20080610:2&pe=2Uvj5dT. So if that's the case then I'm doing good giving my body what it needs. The two things I miss the most and are not allowed are my weekly sushi outingsPhotobucket and my random drinking nights. I know they are things I can live without but they are both TOO good!

11 weeks 118 lbs. Just a few months before I became pregnant I weighed 122. So I actually lost some weight in the beginning. I guess it was the morning sickness, but it could also have been that I wasn't drinking all that alcohol that I was used to drinking before.

15 weeks I only gained 2 lbs. but man am I bloated and can't fit into any of my size 1 jeans. Maternity clothes here I come.

19 weeks I gained 4 lbs. so now my weight is at 125lbs. I promise I am eating a lot!

23 weeks Here comes the weight. I now weigh 131lbs.

27 weeks 136lbs. I never thought I would see that number!

30 weeks 139lbs. The doctor says I'm doing great and gaining just fine. I sure hope it slows down a little bit, lol.

32 weeks 145lbs. Still a healthy weight, not too much not too little.

PhotobucketSo has any other ladies out there experienced those red spots they call Spider Angioma? What they are in case you are wondering are red dots, about the size of a pinhead, which small blood vessels radiate (looking like a spider). They show up on the face and arms. I have counted mine and noticed almost 10, some small. Supposably they go away soon after delivery. I sure hope so because they aren't the most attractive.

Has anybody else been having crazy, vivid dreams? Most of mine are nightmares and when I wake I am a little confused as to if they really happened. This has been going on for months so I took a little time and looked this up and apparently it's because of increased progesterone and increased awakenings. If you are experiencing this same thing well here is a helpful website http://babycenter.com/0_deciphering-your-pregnancy-dreams_7569.bc

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"
God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."
God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."
Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"
God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will tea ch you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."
"Who will protect me?"
God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."
"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."
God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."
God said, "You will call her, 'Mommy'."

Madame Zaritska's reading

Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience.

What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be slightly overcast. Your baby will arrive in the evening.

After a labor lasting approximately 13 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 3 ounces, and will be 18 inches long. This child will have hazel eyes and a lot of hair.

I have so much support from my BF and family but sometimes I still feel so alone and miserable lol I sound like such a baby. Only a few more weeks...it will all be worth it in the end, just have to keep telling myself that!! :) Thanks for the reply!

Keep in touch and let me know how you get on xxx

mommyrock - Tuesday, 15 July
What did your doctor say about the swelling?

REMAP - Monday, 14 July
ME TOO...LOL

Xochitl - Saturday, 12 July
Hi, swelling on your feet and ankles a pretty normal. You should worry if your hands and face swell.

Drink a lot of water to reduce the swelling... eating less salt also helps me... thats what my midwife says.... Oh... and she says that they should be elivated... I had very minor swelling some weeks ago, not much righ now though... Thank god! It made the heels of my feet hurt.
-XOXO

Megan the lump maker - Friday, 11 July
If you have any kind of drastic swelling--call your doctor. You may need to be checked for preclampsia----of course that is the extreme case, but it doesn't hurt to put your mind at ease

mommyrock - Friday, 11 July
Let me know what she says.

mommyrock - Friday, 11 July
You know, I would just to be safe. You can never be too careful when it comes to pregnancy. Depending on where you live she may say it is just the heat but also it can be a sign that you are starting to become pre eclamptic. She may want to see you.

mommyrock - Friday, 11 July
Thanks! What has your doctor said about your ankles?

I will tell you with my first I had fluid everywhere especially in my knees and those were sore until my daughter was 6 months old.

mommyrock - Friday, 11 July
No not my ankles just my back. I'm going to see my chiropractor on Tuesday so I'm hoping that he can tell me what is going on.

Hey, I had a dissapionting 3D scan too, very annoying when they cost so much!! My lil girl just didn't wanna be looked at and hid the whole time, oh well it's a gamble I suppose.

victoria-r. - Tuesday, 8 July
yeah i will have a little girl doing the same with me in 10 weeks.

cosmomommy - Tuesday, 8 July
my baby has been kicking me to the right of my bellybutton all day. I was shopping so when I finally came home and rested that helped. I called the doctor and she said that sometimes the baby just gets comfortable in one position and decides to stay there for a long time.
