Sunday, 18 May Hi it's babystreek responding to your question
the doctor did not tell me how far I was dilated I didn't even think I was. Does the soft and short cervix mean I am dilating? What does he mean when he says the cervix is still hight? danish-girl -
Sunday, 18 May I prefer not getting induced so if I have to wait 2 weeks that'll be that - still hoping that my baby decides to come before that :-) dedra40 -
Sunday, 18 May you know, I was just thinking about that a few min ago. I talk to several people but never add them to my friends network thingy. I should add nina, too. She and I talk every night! lol danish-girl -
Saturday, 17 May I am still quite sure I'll win the bet though :-)
They dont induce here until 42w0d - and then only very slowly. It takes up to 5 days from first day of induction until delivery. They try and encourage your body to going into labor, without the pitocin IV and harsh things like that. Only when nothing works - they start you on those strong meds.
:-) And about going in to labor tonight - It wont be me - its already 10.30pm here and I'll be sleeping soon just to wake up again with no sign of anything resembling labor indications :-) brunettegoddess21 -

Saturday, 17 May not the 19th, but the 20th! gotta be there at 6 am on the 20th lol, guess it really would be 4 days counting today but lets not make it seem longer than it already does! cate -
Saturday, 17 May I'm due on Sunday the 18th. My doctor today said that I'm about 1.5 cm and 50% effaced. But it's not much change from last week. : ( xJESSICAxMommy2B -
Friday, 16 May I'M GONNA HAVE TO. THANK YOU. xJESSICAxMommy2B -
Friday, 16 May MY DUE DATE IS THE 21ST. IT SAYS 31ST ON MY PROFILE BECAUSE IF I CHANGE IT, IT SAYS I AM 39 WEEKS AND FROM MY ULTRASOUND IT SAYS I AM 38 AS OF YESTERAY, THATS WHY I AM CONFUSED. mommy-2-b -
Friday, 16 May Yes!!! I ate all day every day last week and didn't gain a pound! pandaspenguin -
Friday, 16 May I'm glad she's doing well, and good for you for letting occasional cheating go! I think it's so important for kids to be able to feel like kids! I have seen the dr every two weeks since week 6, but my sugars were all over the place in the beginning, so he's been keeping close tabs on it. My dr is fantastic though. There's been many times in the past few weeks where my insulin has been changed and hiked up and then changed again.. they say to expect anything, and I would say that's the best advice in the world! It's been rough for me to manage during pregnancy, and thank God I was able to not work (my bf has been taking care of that for me... poor guy) because it really is a full time job, especially when you add in all the non stress tests, extra ultrasounds, dr's appts, and surprises (like my 8 day hospital stay for observation purposes). Unfortunately, my daughter was not a planned pregnancy, and I'm so glad I've come this far, but it would have been so much easier on me (and on her development) if she had been planned. She's a big girl, and its because of the extra sugar I've had floating in my system (my readings are usually somewhere in the neighbourhood of 6-13) But I haven't really had any serious complications which is great :-) firsttimemom528 -
Thursday, 15 May Hahaha yeah I guess in August we were still honeymooning (o: Yes a little boy as well - I cannot wait to meet him! kmfitz -
Thursday, 15 May b/c she doesn't want me going past my due date. i don't really want a c-section, but she said that my cervix is totally unfavorable and i may not respond to the induction at all because of that. and so if i want to opt for a c-section, i can. but this is just all what my dr. said. happytobeamommy -
Thursday, 15 May Thanks for the boost for my spirit... still waiting.... but trying to stay distracted:) danish-girl -
Thursday, 15 May I was sleeping bc it was 5 in the morning :-)

Thursday, 15 May yes, the Dr. says the baby is too high to strip the membrane...the baby has to be low or basically the Dr. will have to stick half her arm vaginally... elizabeth25 -
Thursday, 15 May lol! you know why i think more adults are being diagnosed with type one...because they aren't being mistakenly diagnosed with type 2.
My family doc told me i was a liar when I told him about my trip to the emergency room and my diagnosis because I was 23, people are just naive kmfitz -
Thursday, 15 May I'm supposed to go in monday night for an all night observation--she's going to put cervadil in my cervix for like 12 hours or something just to see if it will start labor or start anything at all--and if it does, then they're going to start me on an IV of pitocin in the morning. if not, i have the option to either go home or have a c-section. i have no idea what i'm going to want to do. at this point i just want to be done!! pandaspenguin -
Thursday, 15 May Thanks :) I hope she's healthy! She's definetely not a tiny girl though :) lol How is your daughter coping? When I was that age I hated it. I still do, but it's a bit easier to mange now.. or at least I can delude myself into thinking so :) elizabeth25 -
Thursday, 15 May just a reply means alot to me, as long as some people care about the cause, it matters, and i'm sure you do enough through your daughter. It isn't too hard to keep my sugars under control, the placenta tries awefully hard to make it difficult, but I'm testing almost every hour to make sure i'm on the case. my issue is that I was only diagnosed 2 years ago with the disease, so its still fairly new to me.
I hope your daughter is doing well with her diabetes and accepting it as part of her. Courtney H.ItaliaBrit -

aww what a cute tummy mommy2008 -
Wednesday, 14 May Yeah that is what I am hoping for.....I had given up and was ready to have a c/s today. But something inside just told me to wait until my due date, I hope it was a mother instict.. bdubb -
Wednesday, 14 May not a stupid story at all. my mom is so sweet and trys but a lot of times is a lot of work and always relies on me to help her. I wouldn't want to be in a car for an hr and you never know how you are going to be feeling. I would ask her if she could see if anyone else could take her to the doc and just explain that you could go anyday now. NicolePS -
