lol! you know why i think more adults are being diagnosed with type one...because they aren't being mistakenly diagnosed with type 2.
My family doc told me i was a liar when I told him about my trip to the emergency room and my diagnosis because I was 23, people are just naive

I'm supposed to go in monday night for an all night observation--she's going to put cervadil in my cervix for like 12 hours or something just to see if it will start labor or start anything at all--and if it does, then they're going to start me on an IV of pitocin in the morning. if not, i have the option to either go home or have a c-section. i have no idea what i'm going to want to do. at this point i just want to be done!!

Thanks :) I hope she's healthy! She's definetely not a tiny girl though :) lol How is your daughter coping? When I was that age I hated it. I still do, but it's a bit easier to mange now.. or at least I can delude myself into thinking so :)

just a reply means alot to me, as long as some people care about the cause, it matters, and i'm sure you do enough through your daughter. It isn't too hard to keep my sugars under control, the placenta tries awefully hard to make it difficult, but I'm testing almost every hour to make sure i'm on the case. my issue is that I was only diagnosed 2 years ago with the disease, so its still fairly new to me.

I hope your daughter is doing well with her diabetes and accepting it as part of her.

not a stupid story at all. my mom is so sweet and trys but a lot of times is a lot of work and always relies on me to help her. I wouldn't want to be in a car for an hr and you never know how you are going to be feeling. I would ask her if she could see if anyone else could take her to the doc and just explain that you could go anyday now.

Thats great that you will be able to take a couple of months off. I am going to take 8 weeks, then my mom will watch him for 4 weeks, my husband will watch him for 4 weeks, my MIL 4 weeks, and then I will use my vacation and watch him for 3 weeks then he goes to day care. A team effort! Gosh I know it is going to go by so fast. I hope I get to enjoy it. We are so lucky to have our baby in the summer. The weather has been great here and I can't wait to be home with him.

Beautiful belly by the way...and as for MIL and Mom being there....just make sure you choose the time as to when to call them and let them know that the baby is on the way or here.

I'm not even out of work yet and I am nervous about going back. When will you go back to work? I am the same way I really don't want to talk to anyone. We are supposed to go to a BBQ this weekend and I don't want to go because I don't want to talk to anyone. Hope all is well.

I have been having troubles with my husband now that the time is close as well. He goes from laughing to bitching within an hour all day long. He seems more hormonal than I am. He says he is just nervous and scared and I'M the one who has to go through the labor! HMMPH.

Bummed there wasnt any prgress since the last appt.. still only 1cm dilated, same as 2 weeks ago..:(
Im due in Sunday... so maybe she'll decide to come right on time.. with any luck.
We are having a girl. Naming her Kaitlynn.
But I guess there is still a chance the u/s lady was wrong, and we could end up with a boy.. so that would be exciting!

I dont know much about it.. all i know is that it is supposed to move things along, but it really only works if you are ready anyways... so, not much help hey.. haha.
i didnt get mine swept, i decided not to, i heard that it can be quite painful.. so i passed.

hi there !!! u know what i think you are right that what they are doing to me is Membrane Sweep. I live in japan and i couldnt understand the medical terms but i made a research and i think you are right. The doc is trying to reach my boy and then he would insert medicines. Apparently i have to experience that 3x a week and it started last weds. this week and then today and next will be on monday. I feel like i dont wanna go on moday coz it hurts so bad.

Nope, doc didn't tell me anything until it was done. It's about midnight now and I am having pretty bad cramps and some spotting. Not contractions though.

pretty sure, it was estimated about 8 1/2 last week, and he said they can be off by as much as a pound. i asked the doctor if he thought the baby could still be in the 7 pound range then, and he said probably not.... that because of all the other measurements (everything was measuring 40-41 weeks last week) if anything, it could be more than the 8 1/2 pounds. plus, big babies apparently run in our family.... which i didn't know could be genetic, but i guess it can. i was 9lbs 1oz, and had a brother that was 9lbs 10oz. they call it genetic, my mom calls it karma. haha.
