GIAVANNA ANNISE

2/13/08 Hello Everyone! My husband and I are 16 weeks pregnant and are very excited. I have 2 children from a previous marriage that are all grown up. One is 18 and the other is 15. I love my husband so much and we have been together for 10 years now. We only got married 1 1/2 years ago and he wanted a child of his own so bad. I went off the pill in the summer and we really didn't try all that much because we were in the process of selling a home and building another. There have been other stress factors going on in our lives also. My 18 year old daughter told me in October that she is pregnant. With all this stress, there was no way that we were going to conceive a baby. Well the holidays were coming quick and our house was almost done. Our old house wasn't selling and we were getting really nervous that we were going to be stuck with 2 mortgages. We found a family member to rent it out for awhile but this was not the answer to our financial problems at all! We got another showing for our house but we didn't get excited because this happens all the time. Well this time was different. An offer was made and we accepted! We were finally going to sell our home. We were no where near ready to pack up our home and the new owners wanted to move in 2 weeks early to get in for the holidays. We negotiated and moved them in a week earlier than expected but it was very stressfull. Through all this comotion, I didn't pay much attention to the fact that I couldn't remember if I got a period in Novemeber or December. With a move on the way, there was no time to think of this. We moved into our home December 14, 2007. After setteling in, my mother came in for the holidays. Things were still so crazy and busy, I still had no time to pick up a test to see if I was pregnant or not. I didn't want to tell anyone until I knew and the first one I wanted to tell is my husband. I finally decided to sneak out of the house and buy a test on Christmas Eve. I went right home and took it and showed postive right away. I wrapped up the test and was going to put it in his stocking for Christmas morning but I was way too excited!!. I called him in the room and gave him the wrapped package. We had promised this year that we were not going to buy any gifts for each other and when he saw the package, he said, we promised! I said I know but this gift was an exception to the rule and he had to open it. Well he did and was so happy he grabbed me and kissed me and kept saying "Thank you , Thank you! " It was the best Christmas ever and we couldn't be happier.

2/7/08 Hello again everyone!! We went for an utlrasound 2/5/08 at the genetic counselor and IT'S A GIRL!! I think at first my husband was a little disappointed because I think he wanted a son and also my 18 year old daughter has given us a run for our money. This has changed dramatically! We are both so excited and can't wait to see our little girl. We had the gentic counselor do a 3D ultrasound picture and the profile is amazing! Hope to post it to my page soon. If you are looking for better ultrasound pictures and you don't want to pay the price of the specialty stores, see a genetic couselor and get a level 2 ultrasound and insurance will cover the cost. Little lesson for all you expecting mommies!!

4/17/08 Hello everyone! I am now 24 1/2 weeks pregnant an can not wait to see my baby girl. We have went and registered for all our things for the baby a few weeks ago and went out and picked up the crib and changing table that we had ordered. Our next thing is to start to paint the babies room. We have fell in love with this bedding in a department store online that has Pink and Brown lady bugs! I ordered the curtains and they are so freakin cute! The lady bugs and the background on the curtains are made of this material that is so soft and is beyond our expectations! I can hardly wait to get the room all decorated!. Now if we could only decide on a name !! Please help us out if you could and vote on the names that we have picked out so far. Thanks so much!!

7/11/08-It's been awhile since I have updated my page. I am on this site almost every night reading everyone's comments and adding a few of my own. I am now 37 weeks today and can't wait to meet my baby girl. My husband and I have one more birthing class next week and we graduate! LOL. My husband is so excited and can't wait to be a daddy! Our baby shower was last sunday and he has already put everything together that we got. he told me that I can drop her out at any time now. I wish it was that easy. I am still working and am very tired. There is no more room in my belly for her to grow. I am getting uncomforable at this point. I want her out and yet I don't want this precious time to end. I had a wonderful pregnancy and am glad that my husband and I chose to make this special gift from God!! Soon Giavanna, I will hold you in my arms and let you fill this house with everlasting love!-- See you soon!!

Hi! i just wanted to let you know that I loved your selections for names. I absolutely love the name Lina. If my husband's sister wasn't named Lina, then we'd be naming our baby Lina (if it's a girl). Right now, if it's a girl, we're naming her Sofia Lina. I also really liked Gianna and Giovanna. I'm Italian and my husband is Colombian... so I think we probably are on the same track for names.... Anyway... I love your selections!

krlina - Sunday, 20 April
Name her, Karlina

I voted on your names and congrats on your pregnancy. I know a little girl that goes to my daughter's preschool her mom's name is Allegra and her little girl's name is Marisol. I know it is a bit different, but I thought I would still let you know. Wow you and your daughter pregnant at the same time? That has to be a shock! What is she having or does she know yet? Good luck with the name. My husband is a bit picky too when it comes to baby names. Take care.

krisaustin2 - Sunday, 20 April
Your daughter has great taste in names! :) So the both of you are pregnant at the same time? When are the two of you due? Other girl names that I like are: Ariana, Emma, Graciela, Gabriela, Julia, Natalia, Tessa, Victoria,
Girls names are so much fun, there are so many beautiful names to choose from. Good luck and keep in touch!

I absolutely love the name Gabriella. My husband, and I were actually going to name our bambina-to-be Gabriella, but a relative used it before we could. Our first daughter is Sofia Carmela, and this one is now going to be Liliana Laura. Good Luck!

mumofsix - Sunday, 20 April
I like your name list. I also like the combination of
Anita Gianna. All the best for the name choosing.

marsup - Sunday, 20 April
HI! Its funny you picked two of the names I picked! My oldest is Lina. And my youngest was supposed to be Gabrielle. My mother's name is Lina Rita, I named my first born after her. Once I saw my yougest, I changed my mind, she didn't look like a Gabrielle. So I thought for two days and named her Nicole Olivia. I sometimes wish I would have stuck to my original name, but all in all she looks more like a Nicole. Blond with green eyes, she ended up with all our recessive traits!
Good luck, and I hope your name search becomes clearer as time gets closer!

Navy0Wife - Sunday, 20 April
Your baby name poll is set to "private." You have to make it public before anyone can vote. My husband and I are having the same issues. :)

Easy question! If DH is too picky and doesn't like any of your ideas, put him to work. Mine sat down with a baby name book and made a list of boy names and a list of girl names. He handed me the list, and he said, "I'm ok with any of the names on this page." It was that simple. Let the picky person do all the leg-work and narrow down the choices. Then you can pick from them and you'll both feel glad that he had a hand in the matter. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

stefani - Sunday, 20 April
maybe yall should somehow combine yalls names. My sis and her husband did this and it actually came together pretty well.

babyboi3 - Sunday, 20 April
I voted on your list. Very pretty names. Also, before I found out I was having a boy (for the 3rd time lol), we picked out Elodie or Olivia. Just a couple more to throw out there. My favorite on your list was Lina.. :) Good luck!

krisaustin2 - Sunday, 20 April
Hi! I voted on your name list. My favorites on your list are Gabrielle/Gabriella and Mia. I am also having a baby girl. I am 38 weeks pregnant, almost 39 weeks pregnant. I am having a scheduled c-section on Thursday April 24, so I am only days away from meeting my baby girl. My hubby was also quite difficult when it came to agreeing on a name. I am Caucasian and he is Latino (Mexican) We decided to name our baby girl Sofia Isabella. I absolutely love it, it sounds so elegant and like a little princess!!! Good luck on finding a name for your daughter! :)

glamour313 - Sunday, 20 April
I say Giovanna is the best and it is such a strong name...
