30.9 hours ago Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Thursday, 25 September haha yeah i wonder if i'm not doing that now but at least i'm getting more sleep!! shelly32 -
Thursday, 25 September are those the only two times he nurses? or is it more than that throughout the day? shosho -
Thursday, 14 August Xander just turned one on Monday and no he doesn't wave bye bye consistently. He does wave bye bye and I always tell the person he's waving to they are special because he doesn't do it for everyone. He does say mamama but I don't know for sure he's saying it about me- I'm more convienced he knows who dada is than who mamama is. I think you know in your heart if something is really wrong with your child and if you feel he is developing well then he's fine. I would consider switching peditricians if I were you- a doctor should know that every baby hits milestones differently and those do not sound like signs of autism to me- and believe me i have research that disease EXTENSIVELY (see my page) It freaks me out so bad ((hugs)) Look at him playing the piano- I'm sure he's ok Allison -
Tuesday, 12 August Hi there! Well, with all the hype about autism in the media, I have really been keeping on top of all the milestones too, rather obsessively and probably to the point that it is not good for me. Donovan started an "army crawl" at 9 months and then on all fours at 10 months. Guess what??? I NEVER crawled as a baby- NOT ONCE!!!! I just plain didn't feel like it and went striaght to walking, although my parents really had to force me to do it lol!!! I was very content to sit and play with my toys and had no need to go anywhere. And believe me, I turned out fine- good student, good grades ALWAYS, college graduate with honors, etc...My parents never worried about it b/c back then, in 1975 or so, drs. and the media didn't scare mothers half to death like they do now lol! I often think in this "push" to identify autism early, our medical professionals are going a little too far, although better to be safe than sorry, I suppose. D interacts with us so often and shows such great expressions of joy that I tend not to worry about this, as one of the main symptoms of autism is a lack of eye contact, no joyful expressions etc...Is that something they mentioned to you when you went in today??? I have been trying to work with him re: placing balls into and objects into a container, etc...but he just doesn't seem interested. He watches what I am doing and takes it all in, but he'd rather take the ball, bring it up to his mouth or throw it and crawl after it like a puppy lol!!! Thanks for getting back to me. I really appreciate it. So, the could news for you is no cause for concern, right??? Thank God!!!

Monday, 11 August Hi Heather!!! What an email indeed!!!! Do these "medical professionals" have ANY idea what an email like that does to us moms???? That makes me SO mad! Exactly which "milestones" does she see him missing??? I bet you can't WAIT for your ped to come back!!!! If you wouldn't mind, let me know what the doctor says about this. I'm curious for my own child...I'm sure everything is fine. Take care xoxo

Wednesday, 25 June My little man finally started crawling this week too! Now on to the baby proofing! gr8scottswife -
Wednesday, 18 June OMG, what an adorable baby you have. As for your MIL, tell her not to do those things. It's hard, I know, but you have to or you'll always kick your self and feel badly. littlecavalier -
Tuesday, 17 June Have you tried taking anything to increase your milk supply? Also, I think that there are a lot of working Moms that supplement with formula during the day and then nurse in the morning and at night so you don't have to quit completely if you don't want to but then you would also be free from pumping at work. I think that breastfeeding exclusively, especially for a working Mom, for 9 or 10 months is such a huge accomplishment. If you really aren't ready to wean yet, there are ways to increase your supply. I'm not sure if you've been on the breastfeeding forum on this site, but there is a great bunch of girls on there that might have some ideas as to things you could do. emma.m. -
Saturday, 24 May my lilman is still trying to master to get on all 4's, no crawling for him yet either, but i am quite grateful for this as when he does start.....oh my GOD!!! SueUK -
Monday, 14 April They will be off the mark soon enough, typical though that it's the boys not ready to crawl yet! I won't be surprised if Joe skips the crawling stage to be honest, he won't stay on his tummy long enough to try. But at least he's not the only one! I was beginning to think he was!! nikkig07 -
Wednesday, 26 Mar it stays inflated really well!!! maybe on a monthly basis you have to add a little more add to get it nice and firm, but it's great for the most part! i was looking for those rings too and couldn't find it. that's why i went with this tub. nikkig07 -
Wednesday, 26 Mar my son's not too bad in the tub! he splashes around, but i expected that!! he loves bathtime! are you still bathing him in the sink? i had an infant tub for him but a few months ago i bought an inflatable tub (looks like a duck...and quacks too) and he loves it! there's a pic of him in it on my page. it's nice and roomy for him to spread out and play with his toys. you may want to try something like that?? mary-m -
Monday, 24 Mar i was terrified to leave picasso in day care, so i didnt go back to work. was it really hard? i'm going to need to look for a job pretty soon, but am nervous about leaving him... mary-m -
Friday, 21 Mar my son would never take a bottle! i guess i didn't try until he was 3 months old, though...yeah, i was surprised too about all the other babies seeming to crawl and stand before mine, but i just try to remember that all babies will eventually walk in their own time..does your baby babble a lot? it seems like babies are either walkers or talkers first but not usually both at the same time..i love the picture of your son with the monkey sheet! he looks so sweet.. mary-m -
Friday, 21 Mar it took a while to figure out bf while laying down, but all i do is lay him on his side and lay on my side, but his body is at an angle with his head more towards my elbow and then his ear, shoulder and hips are in a straight line so we make a mini triangle..its awkward to explain..i don't know if that makes sense. it was just really nice to be able to figure that out and sleep while he nurses.. my son does eat solids. i feed him rice cereal w/fruit for breakfast and some fruits for lunch (real banana pieces and those gerber fruit puffs), and i'm trying the organic dinners that are a mix of things he's already had..all of the stage 1 foods he can eat and i'm starting him on stage 2. but he still nurses a lot. 2 times at night like your son..and whenever he wants to throughout the day...i try to give him sippy cups with water or gerber juices, but he is only sort of interested. he'll drink out of my cup for water if i help him. what about your son? i was starting to think i was the only bf mother on this website because i hadn't seen any other women talk about it...hehe.., is your son teething? we were going through a rough time with him biting me a LOT, but i found a way to stop him.. mary-m -
Wednesday, 19 Mar awe, what a cutie! (we have the same boppy cover) are you doing shared sleeping with your son too? i am..i can't let my son cry it out either...and then the le leche league says that babies need to nurse at night ..and might not sleep through the night until they are 10-11 months old. i wonder what that will be like.. sonya75 -
Wednesday, 19 Mar Thank you for the comment. It makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one whose milk fluctuates. I thought about trying the tea. Apparently it is milder than the fenugreek tablets, but it's worth a try. AFKatie -
Sunday, 24 Feb Hey girl! Thanks for the sweet comment! Your little man is too cute!! What a doll! Yep, that is awesome you are still breast feeding as well! I just can't give it up yet! We started cereal on Friday for the first time, more of an amusement than a feeding session! She hasn't quite caught on, but she will in some more time. Layla sits up well, but when she wants, she randomly face dives and we have to be there to catch her or she goes 'WHAM!' into the floor. haha. She has started crawling backwards haha, but nothing forward yet. Although it should be soon, I think as she has started getting her butt in the air and today she got up on all fours for the first time! Wahoo! Keep me updated on you guys! SwedeBaby -
Friday, 22 Feb Thanks for sharing. My girl doesn't really care for what I spoon into her mouth, but she seems so jealous when I eat something. So I feed her warm ground oats in breastmilk, in a bowl like my cereal is in.....but she just makes the 'yucky' face. I also feed (nurse) her 6-7 maybe 8 times a day. I think I just need to eat 'round the clock with her. bluebutterfly81 -
Thursday, 21 Feb Hi! Sorry, I have been soooo busy lately. We are still nursing and pumping. To be honest I am surprised I have gotten this far with all of it. We started ceral and solids and the beginning of the month. I have to feed her less, which makes my life a bit easier. At Abby's 6 month check up the Dr told me we could start her on 'people food' like mashed potatoes and yogort. I found that odd. How is everything going with you? Is ANdy sleeping through the night? We still aren;t doing that here.
