say Hello to Gabrielle! <3

hello all! this is my first pregnancy and am very excited but a little scared at the same time. but i'm sure all of you girls know what i mean! it's been a roller coaster of emotions ever since i found out i was pregnant. first, they told me that i had a blighted ovum. i couldn't remember for my life when the last time i had my period and totally gave them the wrong dates. i was only 5 weeks along when the dates i had told them put me at 8 weeks. they wanted me to do a d&c and kept pushing at it. i didn't know what to do. after reading online about other people's misdiagnosed blighted ovums and getting advice from my family, if it were a blighted ovum..you would miscarry naturally and that i should wait for it. and to also, wait another two weeks, because trust me it makes a difference, to get another ultrasound to see if the baby had formed by then...which s/he did!! i am so happy that i waited. what a big mistake i would've made if i were to get that d&c. I thank God everyday for this little baby boy or a girl with a healthly heartrate of 150 bpm.

Jan 22, 2008 (Tuesday) - i think i felt a definite prod while me and EJ were at the gas station. i was sitting in the car waiting for EJ to finish pumping gas and i really think i felt little baby put in two pokes!! i looked out the window to get EJ's attention and gave him some punching motions to tell him i felt the baby kicking!! it was exciting!

Jan 31, 2008 (Thursday) - going to go to my 4th prenantal appointment! hope everything goes well and the heartbeat is strong and won't be hard to find..soso nervous!

update: my sister Andrea went with me to the appointment today and everything went great! there was a heartbeat of 160 bpm!! it is always such a relief to hear the baby's heartbeat! now, sososoo looking forward to Monday. we find out the sex!!

Feb 4, 2008 (Monday) - 18 weeks today and we are going to have our level 2 ultrasound done!hopefully it won't be hard to determine the sex of baby!! yayyy! sososooo excited!

update: it's a GIRL!! My husband and I were sosoossoosoo excited today! He really wanted a girl and of course my favorite color is PINK! she wasn't moving around so much but she was in the head down, feet up position (sort of like a headstand). the sono tech was trying to move her head a little to get better views of her brain. she wasn't budging much but everything turned out okay. the doc's said that she looked great! thank God for this beautiful baby girl!

i finally know what baby feels like. i'm not confused anymore. this evening, i started feeling baby prods!!! it's so weird how they say that once you start feeling baby, you will definitely know! <3

When did you find out you were pregnant?: On Halloween, October 31st, 2007
Was it planned?: Kind of..sort of, not really? We agreed that, if we didn't get pregnant until next year, it'd be okay. If we got pregnant now, it would still be okay. But nothing was really planned.
What was your first reaction?: "Omg!" It just didn't seem real at first so we took several HPT tests. Then to be sure 200% that we had a baby inside of me, we took a few more the following week! =)
Who was with you when you found out?: I was home alone
Who was the first person you told?: My husband was on the phone with my while he was at work. Then I told my sisters, then parents.
How did your parents react?: They were concerned but if we wanted it they were happy for us. Now they're ecstatic!
How far along are you?: 15 weeks today
What was your first symptom?: Missed my period and very fatigue/sleepy. But I thought the fatigue and sleepiness came from the cold I had at the time.
What is your due date?: July 7th, 2008
Do you know the sex of the baby?: Not yet, will know on Feb. 4, 2008
If so, what is it?: I have a feeling that it will be a girl but not a 100% gut feeling.
Have you picked out names?: Sort of but they will be kept a secret until we find out the gender. If so, what are they?: It's a secret till then!
How much weight have you gained?: about 5lbs or so
Do you have stretch marks?: Not yet, and crossing fingers I won't get any
Have you felt the baby move?: I think so. I felt flutters really early, around 8 weeks. And lately, little poking sensations here and there but nothing definite yet!
Have you heard the heartbeat?: Yes! A couple of times, it was 150bpm!

Will you keep the baby?: Sure thing! I am hoping and pray everyday that this will be a healthly pregnancy.
