My sweet angel, Cameron Quinn Erwin, entered my life on March 18th at 7:58pm
weighing 7lbs 10.8 oz and was 19.5 inches long.

I love him more than anything in this world! I'm hoping to meet some other young mommy's, or just any mom in general, that wants to share advice or just talk about their journey of motherhood.

[about my --> pregnancy]

hi, i'm heather.
this pregnancy was certainly a suprise for me, considering i was taking contraceptives religiously at the time. but after several trips to the b
athroom to vomit and a missed period, it still didn't dawn on me that i may be pregnant. so, three home pregnancy tests and an ultrasound later, it was confirmed that i was six weeks along.
definately the shock of my life.

becoming a mother before finishing highschool wasn't my ultimate goal in life, but this isn't something i'll regret. so for everyone that's going to be a prude about
my age and circumstances that happens to visit my page, you can stop wasting your breath. i'm taking responsibility for my own choices and i know i'll be a good mother. i don't care to hear your remarks - thanks.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

Is he rolling over yet? Aiden STILL isn't, and yeah, he was 18 lbs at his 4 month appt so that makes sense. I am still a little worried, though.

When in doubt call your ped. One thing I though of is I kind of hold my little girl upright instead of in the craddle position. She just seems happier this way. At first I completly supported her head. Another way I hold her is facing outward on my lap so she is resting her head against me? Wonder if this strengthened her neck? She does not like her tummy time either and I bet she would if she could have slept that way but on the back they go and then there like a little over turned turtle.

ohh, your little boy is adorable! I just read your comment about him not holding his head up. There is a big difference between not being about to and not wanting to. If you lay him on your chest and talk to him can he lift his head up and look at you? Sometimes that works better than tummy time. My first lifted her head really early, second and third were just mushy snuggely babies, the could but would rather just be relaxed and Sam is more stiff and alert. As bigger kids now my oldest is more easily stressed and high strung and my 2 that were more cuddely and relaxed are very relaxed easy going children now. If he's really not holding his head up at all you can always check with your pediatrician for some reasurance but I bet he would just rather cuddle

all babies develop differently. Don't rush him he will get there, but if you want to help strengthen his neck muscles play aeroplane with him hold him on his chest and legs and fly him above you for short periods of time and his neck muscles with strengthen. But im sure he will be holding his head up very soon.

all babies are different, hes probably fine, does he try to hold it up when you hold him up like by his waist? I would ask at his next appt if you are worried but I bet hes fine. He is super cute btw~!

I dyed my hair when my 5yo was just a couple of weeks old and he kept looking at me like "You sound like my Mommy but you sure don't look like her." He got used to it fast though and I must admit that it did get a little lighter than I had anticipated.

littletonmommy - Thursday, 12 June
I wouldn't worry at his age about your hair, I think he will know your smell, voice and touch more.

Your Son is GORGEOUS!! What a cutie! Congrats!

tina3. - Thursday, 12 June
Just noticed your sons b-day I had my twins the 19th of March..funny

tina3. - Thursday, 12 June
I don't think it would bother him, he knows your face and voice. I've noticed when I have my hair up which is different to them (twins) my soon looks at me a little funny but then when I talk to him he smiles.

Hey there!! I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone with you baby being somewhat anti-tummy time and not wanting to hold their head up. My son can hold his head if I hold him up, but will not while laying on a boppy or mat...? I'm sure soon though :)

leahsmom - Wednesday, 4 June
Hi, It is not bad that your son hasn't voluntarily grasped objects yet. Leah hasn't either. I think closer to 3-4 months is when they really start this. It is interesting to read all of the child development info. But, try not to worry if your baby isn't right on their model. Love the picture of your little guy in the blue bouncer. He is a cutie!

Hi there, My first son had a very noticable flat head and I wish I was better informed then than I am now as I could have done more for him. It's improtant to have alot of tummy time with your little one and maybe to put him in a baby sling and carry around with you if possible, so he's not laying on his head all day. Apart from that all you can do is keep moving his head or try to lay on his side in the day (obviously not at night incase he rolls over. Obviously it depends on if it gets worse but I would see the doctor for advice. You have a beautiful baby boy, congratulations. X

Never withhold food froma baby, there is no need to worry about a baby's weight until they are over 2 years old. They need fat for brain development so if you cut out calories and fat it could actually hurt your baby. Just do what feels right and trust your instincts. I knew a baby that was humongous, I mean he had rolls on his rolls, cheeks that took up his entire face, like four or five rolls on each arm! He was just huge and we were all worried but his pediatrician always said that he would stretch out and sure enough he is now a very normal healthy 4 year old without any kind of weight problem at all. Keep feeding that precious little boy!

My baby girl was 7 lbs 11 ounces at birth, 11 lbs 10 ounces at 5 weeks and 13 lbs 8 ounces at her two month appointment. She is in the 97 percentile for her weight. The doctor was not comcerned at all and said she was doing great. The doctor said that she would slim down some around the time she starts crawling. My sisters baby is only one day younger than my baby and her baby is growing at the same pace. Hope this helps.

Thats so sad the father has only seen his son 4 times of course your baby know your going to console him and care for him, not only does he know your smell but the way you rock him and pat him. I know my baby knows me and he's only 3 weeks old I do different things to calm him down than his father does he knows his daddy too but I'm with him 90% of the time.

Make his daddy hold him more! BTW You have a very cute son!

momoffive - Tuesday, 15 April
My son Sam was born on the 18th also. I just read your comment about baby knowing who there parents are. We left Sam with a sitter for the firs ttime last night. Not only did he calm down from fussing when I got home and held hm but when we were gone our 8 year old held him and he calmed right down for her too. I think they know who there caregivers are...The recognize the smell, voice and probably even mommys heartbeat as being those of the people that meet there needs on a daily basis. Also, I just wanted to say I think it was an awsome choice to keep and raise your baby. So many girls make other choices and those that I knew in highschool that did make that "other" choice greatly regret it today. I have a couple of friends from highschool he was 18 she was 16 that had two babies back to back (the mini pill is not effective to prevent pregnancy) they are now in the process of buying a beautiful 4 bdrm house he's got a great career, they both drive new cars and she stays home with there not 8 and 9 year olds and there 2 year old. Just thought I'd share an encouraging success story...I know a lot of crummy 30 something moms and some awsome teen mothers.

my little one is 7 wks and can tell the difference between people hsi daddy (my husband) lives with us of course but baby does not like being held by him he refuses to take the bottle from him as well he just stares at him and let's not talk about changing his diaper!! LOL he screams bloody murder when my husband changes him
babies are smarter than what people give them credit for!
i took him to his eye appointment today of course he screamed and cried when the dr had him the nurse tried to comfort him and he wouldn't stop crying as soon as i held him and put him against my chest he immediately stopped and fell asleep.. weird...

Carlys-momma - Friday, 4 April
He is so sweet looking. I will remember the castor oil thing....I have a mind to do it now because I want her here so bad lol but I think I should wait till I know she will be healthy enough. In the mean time I will get all the sleep I can get because I know I won't get much once she gets here! I think I have asked you this before but I can't remember. Are you feeding him formula or breast milk? Ttyl.

kbaby - Sunday, 23 Mar
