Im pregnant with a lil boy name Chance!! he has a CONGENITAL HEART DEFECT,CALLED UNBALANCED COMPLETE ATRIOVENTRICULAR SEPTAL DEFECT, HE ALSO HAS A RARE CONDIONTION CALLED DEXTROCARIA WHICH MEANS HIS HEART FACES TO THE RIGHT INSTEAD OF THE LEFT. HE ALSO HAS A FORM OF HETEROTAXY WHICH MEANS ORGANS IN WRONG PLACE SO FAR THAT I KNOW OF ITS JUST HIS STOMACH , BUT THE DR. SAID ITS NO BIG DEAL IT HAPPENS,AND PEOPLE LIVE NORMALLY. I NEVER IMANGINED I WOULD BECOME THE MOTHER OF A SICK CHILD. I GUESS GOD THOUGHT I HAVE ENOUGH LOVE AND PATIENCE TO TAKE CARE OF ONE OF HIS MOST PRECIOUS CHILDREN, SO IVE LEARNED TO LOOK AT MY SON AS A HONOR. Even though he has a heart condition that requires open heart surgery when he's born and then 2 more more times before he's three years old. i have faith in the medical advances that make it possiable for children like mine to survive and live normal live's. The wierd part is is that i pretty much new nothing about (CHD's) till my son. but turns out 1 out of 125 children are born with a chd, ranging from mild (like a heart mur mur) to severe( require open heart surgery) and chd's kill twice AS MANY children a year then all childhood cancers combined. yet not much money goes to chd research. hmmm??? I prey that no one has to face what im about to face. but it happens. and if you dont know anyone with a chd now you will, infact you may know several already and just not know it!!!!
