Hello All!
Congrats to everyone.
I am so excited to be pregnant, but yet so nervous. This will be our first and we have had two miscarriages. Crossing fingers and keeping hopeful through the next weeks...

Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Tuesday, 26 August Hello, I have been bad on updating this site. Sorry for not writing back sooner. I am just tired all the time but now that I stopped working it will be better. I had my US last Friday and I was told that my placenta is normal now. I guess is very common to get normal during the last trimester. I have been finishing up the nursery buying all I need and I still need to buy the material for the curtains in the nursery room. I can't decide as to what color and material...I need to keep looking. I was planning to get someone else to do the curtains since I was in a lot of pain the prior two weeks. I had a kidney stone and it hurt too much that I ended up quiting my job a bit earlier. I was planning to quit mid September but I guess a couple of weeks ahead is not bad. Yes, walking for long period of times is getting difficult and going to pee every second is driving me crazy. OK, I have to go and pack the bag I'll be taking to the hospital. Take care and keep me posted. oh! when am I going to see a picture of you? nmck -
Monday, 30 June Hey! Registering was so overwhelming. Thank goodness 2 of my sisters have small children and were fountains of advice! The 3 things I have used most so far... Our "Sound Sleeper" machine by DEX. Makes white noise while he sleeps. The Diaper Champ instead of the diaper genie....b/c you can use any trash bag with it instead of expensive refills... and the Red Cross Rapid Read underarm thermometer. it works great the couple times I had to take his temp. We have really used that generic Boppy pillow with the seat strap a ton too. In my opinion, it is not worth it to buy an expensive baby bath tub. We bought a mesh bath support chair for when he is a little bigger, but we're using a dish pan from the dollar store for his bath tub right now and it works great. It was exactly $1. Also, any clothing, towels, or blankets by Gerber are not worth it. Their stuff is thin and doesn't hold up well. However, Koala Baby brand blankets and towels from Babies R Us are great quality. My registry was really simple. There are a lot of things people think they have to have that my sisters told me was useless. Try to keep your receipts for everything! Good luck! paolivian -
Tuesday, 3 June Hello,
Thanks!!! Congratulations to you too. One more thing that we have in common (boy). My sister in law had the low placenta too but it was ok on her 7th month. I am sure that will be our case, I am not very worried. Yes, I am trying to adjust to the plane and truck idea. I went shopping this Sunday and didn't have much luck buying small planes for deco. I have to start thinking of the color of the room...not sure yet. Wow! you have a good colloection of baby clothes too. Can u believe that after an hour of walking when shopping my legs started to hurt and that is amazing. My husband was surprised when I got back so soon and I told him about my legs and he said "look at the bright side we saved money"...not funny! Do you get cramps on your legs in the middle of the night. I have been getting them lately and is very painful. I also notice small veins on my calves....not happy about that. Ok, take care paolivian -
Thursday, 29 May Hello, I missed the boy part on your e-mail. So, we both are having a boy...too cute. I went to Toronto and got so sick with a cold that I even lost my voice for the weekend. I am still not feeling well. I haven't started the room yet but I will slowly though. I ordered some things from baby depot. I also have the same problem with the low placenta but the Dr. told me that there is nothing that I can do to make it better and that if it doesn't go to normal within 8 weeks I might need to consider cesarean. I have two more ultrasound scheduled one on my 28th week for the placenta and the last one on the 32nd week. I didn't do any shopping the day I found out since I got on a plane right after and was sick for the weekend :( I am putting some more pics tonight. paolivian -
Friday, 16 May Hola! Wow! you had your hands full with all the visitors. I am glad you had fun. I spent mother's day sewing some curtains for the guest room. You do work a lot of hours and I don't know how you are going to do it on ur last 2 months. I heard the last two months is back to pain and being tired constantly. I wish you all the luck and hope they feel sorry for you and not make u work so much. I do pay attention to my body and some days like today I do nothing. I can't believe I have to wait 8 days to my next Dr's appoitment. I don't have the baby's room ready yet since I am waiting to know the baby's sex. I only have things family and friends have giving me so the closet is the only one that has baby stuff. Is your baby's room ready? Take care........ paolivian -
Sunday, 11 May I would love a girl because I picture things down the road and I feel that girls bond more with the parents. I love the clothes and how girls have a big selection and style to choose from. I know that boys are closer to the mom's when they are small and I like that as well. I dream that is a boy but I guess I'll find out in 2 weeks....hopefully!
I am doing great and can't complain since I am having a good pregnancy and feel pretty normal. How are things with u? paolivian -
Sunday, 11 May Ok, let me know when u have a pic.....I am curious to meet my twin. I told most of my friends a week later after I found out, work I just told them 3 weeks ago. I love dressing up but I am always looking for comfort and style too. Navy0Wife -
Saturday, 22 Mar Hi There, I bought trendy/stylish dresses and 3 shirts for work. They do not look like maternity clothes. It was very reasonably priced because I went to the outlet mall here in San Diego. The clothes look the exact same as other stores except the shirt gives a little more. It feels so much better. I did not buy any pants...they are terrible. I have only gained 2 pounds. I wore a size 2 before and now a 4 but my pants are so tight on the belly that is why I bought dresses. I went to Ann Taylor before the maternity store and bought some clothes that will probably only last for about 3 weeks. It was very expensive!! After you go to the store, let me know what you think. Wednesday, 19 Mar It seems like I am always cold too. My husband thinks I am crazy. It seems I am never warm enough for some reason. However, at night I find myself burning up! Crazy! Not sure why though. KristinJazz -
Wednesday, 19 Mar So the appointment went well! They found the heartbeat immediately and I got to see the little bub! It is such an amazing feeling that you are giving life to something... Anyways, you were right about the internal u/s - no problem! Once you see the screen it is all good! They sent me back to week 9 though...I guess I just conceived later than I thought! Have a great day!! soontobemama08 -
Wednesday, 19 Mar Hi. Thanks so much for the encouraging comment today. I didn't get the planned ultrasound because we heard the baby's heartbeat via doppler, it was 150 and so amazing. I'm feeling much better now. But like you... I am ready to get through the next two weeks. Next appointment is at 14 weeks, it's going to be a l-o-n-g 4 weeks, haha. Hope everything is going well for you. Stay in touch! crystalmooon -
Tuesday, 11 Mar Thanks for your comment. I know 20 weeks seems like a super long time to wait, but apparently because my periods were normal and I've never had a miscarriage doctors here feel that 20 weeks is good. I guess it's normal here. boo! Hope you and your little one are doing well. xo kristinjazz -
Saturday, 8 Mar Thanks for your comment on the internal ultrasound! I'm sure it will be fine. I go next Thursday to the dr for the first time. My hubby is so excited! Other than getting tired earlier and some hunger cravings, I've not had many symptoms. So hearing the heartbeat will really be the icing on the cake! Hope all is well with you! Take care!
