Saturday, 16 August I know it was cheaper laminate. She bought it at Ollies which is a closeout type store we have locally. Kind of like Big Lots if you know what that is. We installed it in her family room and living room. My mom liked it so much that she bought it too and my hubs just got around to installing it a few weekends ago. Anyway, both of them bought inexpensive area rugs to go under the heavy furniture. No scratches yet! But, if you do get a scratch, you can extend the life by using a furniture marker to fill it. Also, a laminate floor is easy to take up if you change your mind in 10 years. Tiles would not be nearly as easy. nmck -
Saturday, 16 August Hey! I vote for laminate. Tile is hard, and grout is hard to clean. My husband and I installed a laminate floor last summer at my sister's house and she has 3 boys, 9, 10, and 12. No scratches yet! jmefoster -
Friday, 15 August I read your post regarding laminate or tile. My husband dabbles a little in real estate and tile would help your resale value. You can always lay down an area rug if you are worried about it being to hard on your baby. By the way your baby is adorable! tinamarie4685 -

Tuesday, 12 August I'm sorry you're hurting still, but so glad to know I'm not alone. I seriously thought that something was going wrong. I accidentally missed my 6 week checkup and never went back, so I was a little worried that maybe things really didn't heal right... socalgal -
Tuesday, 12 August Hi there. I'm good. Just a little nervous about going back to work. It's only three weeks away and I still haven't tried to give Alex a bottle. I know I need to stop procrastinating with that. I just wish I could afford to stay home six months like I did with my son. That was so much easier because he never had to drink from a bottle.
I'm supposed to go to Soak City today. Hopefully I can find some shade so Alex is comfy while her brother plays.
How are you doing? Andais -
Monday, 11 August i was 2 days overdue according to the hospital's due date, but by my period due date i was supposed to have her on the 6th, and had her on the 19th. so who knows.

Saturday, 9 August that is so true about scales, totally ruined my day for the most part, thanks for the kind words though, really sweet. Grace -
Saturday, 9 August how come scales at home and the dr. office are SOOOOO different??? I wanted to cry after seeing the scale at the visit today. ughhh!!! I am working so hard at getting back in shape and then to see that scale it seems that all i've lost since having him is 10 lbs, that would be the baby and placenta, he was 7 lb 8 oz. Oh and I was supposed to get Mirena today cuz my doc left me with the impression when I was leaving the hospital that I would get it at my check up, BUT NO. seems I had to go in with a screaming baby by myself in an hour long drive (Jacob screaming for about 20 minutes of it) late for my appt. so I had to wait 2 hours after getting there for him to get back from his lunch break, to step on a scale and get sad, then sit in a room get blood pressure checked, and asked if I had a period yet or cramping, that was the extent of my check up, then I signed papers to order Mirena and I asked him a couple questions about it. NO REAL CHECKING ME OUT to see if everything was ok, didn't even check to see if my uterus had gone back yet. *sigh* just really frustrated right now with just about everything. I saw the doc for maybe 5 minutes out of a 2 hour wait and 2 hour drive and 6 hours of sleep maybe and a screaming baby. maybe it's the hormones again...

Friday, 8 August hey girly - sorry i havent replied to u in a couple of days! Brianna had her 2nd round of her 2 month shots (i split them up so she didnt have to get 5 at oncr) and she has been SOOOOOOOO cranky and such a handful the last 2 days. I literally, havent been able to put her down unless its to sleep or to go in her swing because i have to go to the bathroom or do something for myself! I feel so bad that she isnt feeling well but I'm going nutssss because i cant do anything. I was outside with her today for a little while, it wasnt too hot, i fed her a bottle and then she threw up everywhere.... so i had to change both of us, wash her boppy and then do laundry.. while trying to keep her from screaming her lungs out lol.
She watches these shows called Franny's Feet, Word World, Clifford the Red Dog, Dragon Tales, Super Why, and these educational cartoons on some channel called 'Noggin' .. theyre all educational cartoons which i like... and she loves them!
Hows your little guy doing? And you? My husband is trying to get a 2nd job, part time because we are tight for money - he already works 12 hour days and now he will be gone for even LONGER if he gets an overnight thing.... HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!! lol Grace -
Wednesday, 6 August I'm on spark people and they recommend 12??-1550 for me non nursing, but since I'm nursing I add another meal especially for baby, so I usually get in about 1600-1700 a day and I have to force myself to eat that because I'm usually full after what is recommended by the site. See the site won't let you become a member if you're pregnant or nursing they send you to their other site Babyfit, so I just add another 300 or so calories to the plan they set for me on there. But it really does keep me full it's not like I'm starving myself, and my milk supply hasn't changed at all. I also do regular exercise that the site schedules for me in order to reach my goals by October 12. So I'm sticking to it. 30 min of cardio mon, wed, fri. and strength on tues. and thurs. I'm loving the site, very motivational and it makes me wanna do it because I have a goal to live up to. Thanx for the compliment. oh and if you make sure you drink more water you won't eat so much, because as we get older our bodies confuse thirst with hunger and instead of getting the fluids we need we will be encouraged to eat. And also this site has a thing where while you track your nutrition through out the day you add up as many cups of water you take in and you need to make sure you get atleast 8 but more than that if you're nursing because that is KEY to milk production.
SO come on and lets get fit! ~Blessings~Grace tinamarie4685 -
Tuesday, 5 August I feel the SAME way as you!!!! Today my daughter fell asleep in her swing, so i ran to the bathroom and showered, like a 5 minute shower, got out and threw on some makeup and then she woke up. My husband works 12 hour shifts, so i'm home with her for 12 hours and lately her naps during the day are VERY short cat naps.... sooo I'm always trying to think of things to do also!! It's hard because she is only 10 weeks old, I even tried putting her in a walker today just for something new... I know she cant walk but just so she can sit up in it, and she started crying cause she is still sooo small compared to this big walker thing! So far today we took a walk, played on her play mat, watched her morning tv programs and ate some bottles. I cant wait until they're a little older and we can do more with them!! But then its going to be even harder cause we will be chasing them around when theyre crawling and dont just want to sit in a swing or boppy! It never endssssssss hahaha. When does pre-school begin? haha.
What do u do with your baby all day? tinamarie4685 -
Tuesday, 5 August Hey, my baby has the Cherry Blossom swing by Graco..... it's reallyyyyyy big so i'm thinking thats why she is hesitant with it! Is yours closer to the ground? I saw some in Target that actually looked like boppy's (really short, not big like the swing i have) that sway.
My daughter was in her swing for an hour tonight, and was happy in it with her pacifier and as long as i didnt swing it!
I see you're a stay at home mommy - i am too - it's really exhausting isnt it?! i mean i love it, but i dont even get to shower sometimes until my hubby comes home at 7pm!!! He's so used to me without makeup, greasy hair and in my "comfy" clothes with baby drool all over me. I actually put on makeup today, did my hair, and got DRESSED.... just to run errands lol. It felt good though :)
Hope you're doing well xoxo MommyJewels -
Sunday, 3 August Me too. I hate this. I wish that someone would have told us about all of this while we were preggers to prepare us. I feel that way too. I get so depressed about it all. I think I really make it worse. I read People, Intouch and Ok magazine while I do my nightly feedings to keep me awake. Staring at all these perfect and mostly airbrushed celebs just makes it worse. I think it is just very hard to have all this change and be a new mom and try to look like yourself. You want to feel pretty. What makes me very sad is that when I have girls they will be like all of us. Our society is so tough on women. They start at such a young age. Most of my friends are teachers and they read these things from little KIDS saying how much they hate their bodies etc. SO SAD. But, I guess the best that we can do is be healthy which is so important. We will all get back to our pre-preggers weights and we will be proud of oursleves:) MommyJewels -
Sunday, 3 August Hey! Ulta is a beauty supply store. I am not sure what other companies sell the TOO FACED brand, but I love that brand. I know that you can get them new on ebay. I bought the lip stuff a couple years ago. It seriously makes your lips BIG. It is sticky and stings a bit, but I use it once in awhile and then rub it off. The mascara is one of my favorite beauty products EVER now. I was waiting in line to check out and just saw it and thought WHY NOT. It was almost $20 which is the most I have ever spent on makeup. SO WORTH it. It doubled the look of my eyelashes. I'm really pleased. I am being a retard. I keep looking in the mirror at my eyes. My MIL just came over and randomly told me that my eyes looked great and my lashes looked so long. AWWWWW:) I wonder what other products they sell lol Alexis08 -

Friday, 1 August Hey girly.. How r things with u and your baby boy? Hope everything going great!! Omg did u feel the earthquake? Wow that was crazy!! ABCMommy -
Friday, 1 August Swings....they usually go off of weight. A lot of them have a weight limit of 25 pounds, some more, some less. I would look at that when looking at the swing, but no matter what, you should be able to still get plenty of use out of a swing, It's a life saver for me when I need to get things done around the house, or take a shower, she's happy for such a long time in the swing. I recommend you still get one, I think you will get your monies worth.....also on a side note. If it's a money thing....It was for me.....I noticed that the travel swing was cheaper then the heavy duty swing that stays in one place so that's what I got, And I am soooo glad that is what I got. Not only is it easy to bring to the baby sitter or grandma's, but I'm always moving it from the living room to the kitchen to the bathroom. REALLY REALLY glad that I didn't get the big swing, works exactly the same, just a portable one. Hope that helps you some!
