Wednesday, 14 May I read that your ped won't do them, but is there another ped in your area that takes medicaid you could take him to that does do them? startingoverat37 -
Tuesday, 13 May Same deal with circumcision in Washington. Not covered. I do know the peditrician does it in the office here. It is like 300. So maybe you need to find a ped. The medical will cover seeing him/her then the circumcision will be out of pocket. I choose not to do it with my son as there is no medical need for it. My 13 yr old brother and two nephew as well are not. I told everyone there was not a need to do it for mecial reasons and the parents decided not to as well. Good luck on your decision. Bless you. startingoverat37 -

Tuesday, 13 May No anesthesia, just a little bit of wine, to take the edge off (for the baby and whoever is watching!) I watched the whole process, my son of course cried, but only for like 2 minutes and then he slept for a while. I'm not sure when the baby is older if he would use anesthesia or not. His email address is seiftheknife@aol.com, you could ask him any questions and I don't know where his number is offhand, but if you for some reason can't reach him though email, let me know and I will search for it. GOod luck! 1blessedmomma -
Monday, 12 May It must be a FL thing cuz we had Medicaid as well and Abram got his done in the hospital. I just had to sign a paper months in advance to get the approval. Have you spoken to someone at Medicaid or your case worker? I'd make 100% sure and if they do cover it, just call around til you find someone who takes Medicaid. If they really won't cover it, then call around and find a urologist that offers financial assistance. You'll most likely have to apply for it but if your family qualifies for Medicaid, you may very well qualify for some assistance. It may not pay for everything, but it is definately worth checking. Good luck!! Steph1212 -
Monday, 12 May I had it done a week after my son's birth by an excellent mohel (my family is jewish, this is the religious figure that performs circumcisions). I also live in Florida, Miami area, I would be happy to give you his number if you are interested. He does all religions, he goes to hospitals or right to your home. I believe he charged $400, but if you cannot afford it, he will do it for whatever you can afford. captlinda -
Monday, 12 May I'm in Fl as well and they told me that it would only be like $100 in the hospital. I had a girl, so I didn't have to worry about it. That seems like an awful lot of money though. mom2boy -

Tuesday, 6 May Any tricks you wanna share to get a great sleeper? Jo-Mama -
Tuesday, 6 May Malone has pretty much the same sleep pattern as Kaeden. We are so lucky! Now she doesn't always sleep that well, but mostly. nuckena -

Thursday, 24 April We are home from the hospital. What a ordeal. Very very scary! She is doing much better. She could not be released until she could eat again, be completely off oxygen and not have to have the vacuum cleaning out the mucus from her nose. SO we have to use the bulb to squeeze out her nose, breastfeed as much as she wants, and keep a eye on her breathing to be sure she is not struggling. Its more like a terrible cold now with a cough and congestion. I feel like I can handle things now though. I will be so happy to sleep in a bed after 4 days in a hospital. I am going to sleep as well which a foriegn concept at the moment. Thanks for the concern. navywifemomof3 -
Thursday, 24 April My daughter is eight. She is such a love. I am sure I have a lot to look forward to when it comes to make up. Just like you, she is my only girl and my best friend. Sebastian goes to sleep in the bassinet, sleeps for around four hours (that varies) and then when he wakes up aroun 2am, I put him in bed to breastfeed. Once he falls asleep I put him back in his bassinet. I sleep so much better when I know he is safe in his domain. He likes to nestle in my boobs and go to sleep and it isn't comfortable to me, cute but I don't sleep because I worry about him breathing. We play lulliby music that incorporates a human heartbeat in the music. He passes right out when I play that; probably because it drowns out all of the other sounds in the house. navywifemomof3 -
Wednesday, 23 April Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. 11pm is when Sebastian goes to sleep too and then wakes around 2:30. It's after that, that is tough. Oh well, I shouldn't complain. He is such a happy baby. He smiles all of the time and coos. The kids talk to him and he wants to talk back so bad. It's amazing how much they change in such a short period of time. He is such a happier baby since he sarted the formula! How are the older ones with the baby. I am sure your daughter is a huge help, like mine. navywifemomof3 -
Wednesday, 23 April You do have a super baby! Sebstian is doing good. I had a nurse over yesterday to weigh him and he has lost 5 ounces. My breast milk supply went super low. I guess I didn't realize how low until she came and showed me. I cried. I felt so bad. We immedialtey gave him a formula bottle and he sucked it down like he was starving! I felt horrible. So, I am going to breastfeed him after I give him formula, atleast until I dry up. I guess it just wasn't meant for me and him to do. What time does Kaedan go to bed at night? Seems to be Sebastian goes to sleep at 11 and is up at 2. I guess I can't complain but more sleep would be nice. I thought feeding him formula before bed would make him sleep longer, but nope. He actually wanted to stay up and look around at 2am this morning! One day, we'll sleep!...lol. mom2boy -
Wednesday, 23 April Cut baby! Well, I am almost 30 so we'll see what my stomach does. navywifemomof3 -
Wednesday, 23 April Wow, I can't believe no one will do it. I knew people were getting away from doing it but I didn't know pediatricians were stopping doing it. Poor little guy, having to go through that sucks! I hope you find someone soon. navywifemomof3 -
