Thursday, 4 September Hi Theresa. Good to hear you had the sweep and things are starting to progress :) BTW what do they actually do when they do a sweep? My doc does my first internal on Tuesday, he said if things are favourable we can discuss options at that time (I am thinking he means a sweep) - and that we would book the induction for the following Tuesday, which would take me to 40 weeks 7 days. He told me not to focus on that though and get into an induction mindset, as I think I lost my plug on Monday, had lower back pain, and the BH continue on!!
I was king of hoping the little guy would come today, because I have colleagues from work who are coming to visit me tomorrow, then guests from interstate on Saturday, and I just don't feel like doing the housework and entertaining them - would rather have them do a quick visit to the hospital
Oh well, I've told the little guy to just come when he is ready, and I will deal with it.
Bye for now, and keep us posted if the sweep results in labour xxx Jackie NicoleAndGrant -
Tuesday, 2 September Well after a very long day Brianna decided not to come and my cervix never changed. What the doctor thinks that happened was that the issues I've been having with my BM's *thinking they were cleaning themselves out* is actually a virus. The strong pains triggered contractions which lead me to believe that it was true labor. I had some strong contractions but they were caused by the gas pains. I walked and walked and NOTHING *sigh*. I still have the most horrible pains and cannot stay off the pot AND having contractions that do absolutely nothing *sigh*. I"m going to call my OB tomorrow and see what can be done. Thank you all for the warm wishes and support just wish I could have come back with better news :) Hope you all are doing well and keep me posted on how all of you are doing *hugs* mumsie26 -

So week 38 is quiet and no one is answering me, so I will hop over here (I'm here tomorrow night anyway). I was in L&D last night for a really bad headache and swelling. Everything is fine and the sent me home after giving me a shot of morphine...This was around 3:30am. It's now about 11am and I am feeling sick as a dog. I have thrown up the cereal I ate and the water I drank this morning. Could this just a be a normal side effect of the drug? Also, I'm looking to see how long the morphine stays in my system. I am still soooo very sleepy...I don't like the way I feel right now... YUCK! NicoleAndGrant -
Monday, 1 September Well girls I think this is it, I've had contractions since 4am. I've been induced both times and I have no idea what it is like to labor on my own. I called my OB and she said to come in right away. Wish me luck and pray that Bri comes safely !!! HUGS suzetter -

Sunday, 31 August Hi Theresa. Lets just say we wont be doing the BD any time soon
About that raised bump you mentioned - I have no idea what that might be - but used this website early on in my pregnancy when I thought I had complications: http://www.justanswer.com/
You select an expert (I think womens health expert) and post a question, then medical professionals are online, one will contact you online and read your question, give you an answer until you are satisfied. They do charge a nominal fee, but it gives you peace of mind and can help you determine whether you do need to get checked out before Wednesday.
Best wishes, I hope it turns out to be nothing serious / worth a trip to the hospital!!
Cheers, Jackie xx kellsbells -
Saturday, 30 August oh i LOVE you! i have had that same spot for a month now! i thought i was crazy! any kind of pressure on it hurts no matter if it is the edge of my pants or a brush of my hand! my husband is a Navy corpsman and he thought is seemed cellulitic as well. i did ask my doc/mw. she said soreness wass normal and not to worry about it. i am just so upset because i had a relatively nice round baby bump and now it is all deformed and odd shaped because of that!
