Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

Update on my friends David and Rachel. They saw their doctor Friday morning. After about an hour of looking at the sonograms of the baby from all directions, the doctor said they are now sure the kidneys are not there as they had thought. It appears rather that the adrenal glands are showing up instead. There are no signs of a bladder or stomach either. The heart also looks to have abnormalities. No amniotic fluid is present at all so this means no lung development too. The doctor does not see any way this baby can live outside the womb and was very thorough to be sure of the prognosis. In fact the group of doctors, technician, and geneticist met together last week to discuss their case. There is not a genetic cause for this which was a relief to David and Rachel. They have decided to go back Monday morning to deliver the baby. Since there is no room for the baby to grow, it only means more problems for the baby to prolong delivery any longer.

David and Rachel have had quite a trying week of wondering what the tests would show. They trust that this is for the best. They are finding their strength and hope in God who understands far more than any of us could imagine. Your prayers and thoughts are so very much appreciated. i just started to get dizzy spells its really weird feeling. i have not blacked out but thanks for the warning. maybe for you it will be gone by the time you make it to 12weeks since you have had then from early on. Good Luck with everything
