I am pregnant for the second time, and I am very excited. Had to use fertility medications the first time around, and this pregnancy was unplanned/unexpected/spontaneous, and is wonderful news! My son is almost 2, he was born on 12/25/09. My due date this time is 5/26/11. Happy to have a summer baby, which means that I will get the summer off!

I saw my OB at 8 weeks, saw the baby and hearbeat on US. I am going to be participating in University of Michigan's GROW study once again, so I have the pleasure of getting frequent US. My first one is next Friday and then I have my first trimester screen the following week (I am 36 yrs old, "Advanced Maternal Age"). Hope it's ok. I had a false positive quad screen last pregnancy for Down's, that was no fun.

Last pregnancy, I had absolutely NO 1st trimester symptoms. This time around I am a lot more fatigued (probably since I have a toddler too), and hungry a LOT. Already starting to show, and got the Belly Band out. Thought I felt a "flutter" the other day from baby on my right side. Last time I did not feel anything until 16 weeks. Will definitely be finding out the sex of the baby. Hoping for a girl, but will be very happy with a boy. My son is going to be a wonderful big brother.
