My husband, Matt, and I were married in October 2007. We met on May 18th, 2007 by chance...online actually. I was planning to move away to Alabama and was only trying to meet people to kill time with before I left. The night I met him, we both fell in love. After drinks he stayed the night with me, and never really left! LOL, we have not been apart for over 20 hours... A week later was my 21st birthday; he arrived at my apartment in a limo and a suit with long stem red roses and took me to dinner in Seattle. He asked me not to go to Alabama and to stay here and make a life with him. I agreed! On June 16th, he bought me a beautiful ring and asked me to marry him. We moved to Issaquah from Kent in July and set the wedding for October.

After we were married, we decided having a baby was a must! He is the oldest of 3 boys, and I am the youngest of 5 kids but I was raised an only-child and so I do not know what it is like to have brothers or sisters (makes for an interesting relationship). We started trying in January, as I had been on "the pill" for nearly 10 years; we knew it could take a while, which was fine, as June was our target month. I was so excited when June 24th I had a positive test!! We found out it was a little girl and decided to name her Autumn. We wanted a name that was not too popular; dont think she will have 3 other Autumns in her classes growing up!

Autumn Marie was born March 6th, 2009 and is the sun in our sky! She was 7lbs, 2oz and 20 1/4 inches long. She is a great baby and has brought me more joy than I have ever known. I love every minute with her and love that my family is off to a great start! We plan to start trying in about two years for our second, hoping for a boy! But for now, I am perfectly content enjoying my life as a part-time stay at home mom, watching MY daughter learn and grow!

I am hoping to meeting other mommies in my area to start play-dates for both mom and baby! I have few friends these days, as I am just not interested in parties or drinking (more than a few glasses of wine), or going to the clubs! Hello, I am married and now have a baby! It seems my friends and I have parted ways, as there really isnt anything in common anymore. But I do miss having people to talk to, people to meet for coffee or taking a walk...so if you are in the area, say hello, maybe we will become good friends?
