my birth story
on the 31st dec i had some crampy feelings which were strange painful but bearable.my hubby freaked out and got dressed to go to the hospital i teased about it cos i asked him if he was the preggo one anyways the feeling passed. i saw my midwife on 02/01/08, she said my baby was only 3/5 engaged , here in the uk, they hardly do internal examinations so i didn't know if i was dilated, at the end we discussed my birth plan and made another appointment for 16/01/08!!!!!!!!. so i continued my belly dances, raspberry leaf tea and i stayed super active, cos i read that sitting or lying down doesnt speed things up.during early hours on the 6th till around 10am in the morning i was having painful contractions and using my tens machine but they were far apart and painful, cos i could manage it the hospital said i should not come in ,so i tried a warm bath, some warm milk and paracetamol after a while the pains faded away. i felt grazed and very bruised but i was scared of going to the hospital and being sent home so i stayed indoors , grumpy and moaning. that evening hubby and i took a walk to the local shop to get some biscuits , milk and banana just in case. well that midnight i could not sleep at about 00.30 morning on 07/01/08 i was having pains again from lower abdomen to waist i was lying down in bed and trying to time the contractions but it got really painful hence i went to the living room, put on the computer and started timing online from 01.41am and it was not regular , it was ranging between 2-8mins part eventually it became 2-5 mins apart and i felt there was pressure on my perineum area so i called the hospital the lady reluctantly said to come in. i packed my bag and told hubby that we will be sent back home. when i got to hospital they did an internal examination whilst i was using my gas and air and the lady said i was 5cm dilated and my waters broke just as she did the examination. then the double whammies started i was in labour from 8.15am till 5.40pm when my son rolled out!!!!!!! i had the most painful and amazing experience. i am a christian so i felt God and angels were there with me at the same time i was in pain. i used only gas and air and my tens machine. at a stage i thot i couldnt do it i was offered morphine but i hate injections so i rejected it . the midwife was God's sent she was very strong , she encouraged me and praised me until my baby came out . my hubby was wonderful he tried his utmost best; he hates blood but he was alright.he didnt leave my side for one sec, he was telling me i could do it , hugging me and pushing with me:(, i made him read out psalm 23 for me over and over again, he was simply wonderful. i dilated from 5cm to 8cm in 2 hours, but from 8cm - 10 took about 4hours.i had a very prolonged second stage. i was really tired so when it was time to push i had little energy and contractions were no longer as strong. when my baby's head crowned, i had no energy to push , i was in pain and the midwife took the gas and air cos she said it will make me lazy!!!!. i didn't get the chance to puff him out, i screamed him out!! when they gave him to me i cried out my eyes glad that it was over, glad that little me could give birth and amazed that i could push out 8lb 4.5oz, 36cm head diameter!!!!! i had and episiotomy so i had to wait to be stitched up after delivering the placenta. i called my mum and sister and said i just had a baby and they freaked out. my mum was in tears and so was i. well there you go that is as much as i can afford to type with my 2 champions to look after. i am feeling okay , although i am very very busy as i am moving to my own house house today 13/01/08 and i am just over the moon. my baby's name is
Vwede Theodore and he is absolutely gorgeous! i have got pictures but i have never been able to post pictures on the site , i will ask my hubby to give me a hand.

I had my big ultra sound scan today, I am so so happy words can not express how happy I am.!
I am so grateful to God that everything is fine with me and with my baby.
I just want to say THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!
