Lory + Joey = Alyssa!!

12/04/07 Hey all! I am doing well. Glucose Test is normal at 88, so are my measurements..YAY! Alyssa is still breech and stuck on my right side...Don't know why but she has been there for weeks! I get to see the doctor every two weeks now and am excited because it means I am closer to the "end." I also got my hospital packet that I have to carry with me ALL the time. Below are pictures of a baby cake I made for my brother's wife who is also pregnant...

11/29/07 OKAY, I have a HUGGGGEEEE belly...Don't know how it happened since 6-7 weeks ago, people were still not sure if I was preggo or getting fat lol

11/17/07 Well, everything has been well. Alyssa is kicking my butt like crazy. I can really tell it is getting uncomfortable for her in there because she is being a bit more aggressive with her punches and kicks. I also feel when she turns over and sometimes it feels like she is clawing at me lol But I try to make tummy time for her and sing to her and rub my belly.

11/13/07 YAY! Today is my last day of grad school. I am done with mys MS in Teaching YAY! Unfortunately, right now I am sooo exhausted that I can hardly enjoy it. I feel like my energy is being drained more and more. I think that I am going to request a blood test for my next appointment to make sure I am not deficient in vitamins or have anemia.

11/10/07 Can I say that my husband is a god-send? He got up real early today and started doing the laundry. By the time i got up and ready, the clothes were almost done in the dryer. All I had to do was fold. I really LOVE my hubby!

11/09/07 So today my husband and I were playing a CD with some of our fave music of the moment. We both love Alicia Key's Song No One. Well it seems Alyssa likes it too! Every time we played it she was kicking around. When we stopped it, she would stop. We'd play it and she would start kicking again...lol But then again, maybe she hates it...lol

11/07/07 Last night, while sleeping, my husband turned over to spoon me and put his arm around me and laid his hand on my belly. Alyssa was kickin away I guess because this morning he told me that she was very active. I guess she likes Daddy's attention :-)

11/05/07 Baby Alyssa has done it again...Sleep pattern change! She wakes up during the night and is pretty quiet during the day...It gave me a big scare because I didn't feel her during the day monday...But I had a doctor's appointment and heard her heart beat. I love my little girl SOOOOOO much! I can't wait until she is here and I can just hold her and look at her...

10/28/07 It looks like her sleeping/calm pattern changed...Now she wakes up anywhere between 3 and 5am and starts kicking...She doesn't kick low at night just side to side...I don't think she likes me sleeping on my side because she keeps kicking or hitting the side that I lay on. This morning she FINALLY calmed down around 630am and then my husband starts shaking my belly to wake her! Now she is up and I am up :-( and he is off to work...

10/24/07 SO I am sitting on the couch and not only do I feel a kick but I see my tummy move too...In awe, I set aside my laptop, pull up my shirt, and wait...Low and behold, she kicks again...and again...and again...I can not only feel her on the inside but on the outside too!

10/16/07 IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!! YAY! and she looks healthy! She is such a model, posing and yawning for the camera...

09/27/07 Joey and I got married!!!!!!!!!

09/06/07 Well my cousin and i decided that since most of my family lives in Brooklyn, it would be better to do the baby shower down there. We wanted to do it a month before I am due but January is Snow Season up here...Last year they had 13 feet of snow in a few days! SO...we decided to do it in early December before Christmas.

09/05/07 Baby is well, the heartbeat is super! YAY!

07/09/07 My first doctor's appointment went well...He said the spotting and cramping may be normal implanting. My hormone levels are going up. Still scary though. Joey went with me and we got to see an ultrasound of the baby. It looked like a Peanut so that's its name until we find out if it is a girl or boy :-)

06/30/07 Bad day. I started spotting and cramping :-( Worst part is that I am away from home so I am not familiar with the hospital or doctors up here. I feel crappy! Joey took me to the ER and all we could see during the ultrasound was a sac. The doctor's say I am still too early and they sent me home to rest. Diagnosis: Threatened abortion... I don't want to lose my baby :-( Good news: Joey and I are OFFCIALLY engaged! I love my ring!!!

06/17/07 HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! After a week of feeling "under the weather" Joey convinced me to take a pregnancy test. IT WAS POSITIVE!!!!!!! OH MY G*D!!! I AM PREGNANT!!! We are having a baby!

06/03/07 Joey came home!!!! YAY!!!! Let the baby-making begin! We are so happy :-)

05/19/07 Aunt Flow came to visit! Ughhhhhhh!

05/15/07 Got off the pill! Joey is coming home from Afghanistan and we have decided to have a baby! YAY!!
