Happy Easter everyone!!! Well...its almost 3 in the afternoon & I was really hoping to be in labor by now and pushing out our lil one here any time now (wow, who really thinks that way haha i guess i do) but it looks as if our lil stinker wants to be fashionably late just like mommy ;) now all I can think of is that we're having a girl lol oh well...the day isn't over yet...so we'll see! 39 wks tomorrow & hoping for better news on Tuesday at our next ob appt!

So we had our 38 wk OB appt today & guess who's 2 cm dilated?!? Yay! I am!! Who knows how long I've been at 2 cm but today was our first internal exam & our dr doesn't think he'll see us back for our next OB appt on the 25th....as excited as I was to hear that I figure with my luck this baby will stubborn just like his/her mommy & daddy and come much later that expected...we'll see who's right lol

Boo! So Pete & I were told last week by our nurse that our dr would be doing an internal exam today....and he didn't so now we have to wait until next week to find out if we've started dilating yet...Pete & I are taking bets to see if I have and if so how much...He says 2 cm, which is what I wanted to say so I had to chose 1 cm...I hope he's right haha

Alright, so it's been a while since I've added any updates on here so I figured I'd sit down and finally go into detail about some things...
First off, the baby shower. For the first time in my life, something planned, actually went WAY better than expected!!!! My amazing gf Krissy & her mom did wonders on the entire ordeal! From the decorations to the way she lead everything to the list she made of gifts I got while opening them was incredible!
Pete & I got soo much stuff for the baby and we couldn't be any more thankful! Everyone who came, personally, I think they had a good time! We started off with an ice breaker by having everyone introduce themselves and how they know me then we played the string game, and had everyone guess how big around I really am, we got food, then played another game on guessing celebrities original name on their birth certificate-I did horrible lol i think i got 3 out of like 15 right but whatever who cares haha, then I opened gifts! Best part I'm sure for everyone else tho was playing BINGO while I opened gifts! We ran off blank sheets for everyone to fill out as I opened gifts & they had to guess what they thought I would get and if they got Bingo, they'd get a prize! What a great way to keep people from getting bored!! Now, I'm not going to go into what we got exactly but lets just say Target has become my best friend, and we got a lot of things off our registry! If it wasn't enough that I had already purchased myself a bajillion items for the nursery, but we got even more Classic Pooh items like blankets, decorations, & toys galore!!!
I'll try n post some pix seeing as I haven't done so lately but all in all I had a great time & got to see some people I hadn't seen in such a long time!
Alright, now for the update on baby and me.
Pete & I had our last OB appt on the 21st of Feb. We had to do the Strep Culture test that day. Not the best feeling in the world but doable, right?
Ok, so after my dr leaves the room, I was getting dressed and I wiped myself with a tissue...first time I had seen blood in I don't know how long (thank god for the no period during pregnancy!) but it scared me so Pete went back and got our OB. He had a lil look-see and said everything was fine...so ok good. We should find out our results at the next appt which is on March 4th. As for the bigger news...right before we completely left the office, I just wanted to double check with our OB to see that our due date was still around the same time...end of March, and he looked at me and said that they were looking at March 21st-28th now...
Well, this was brand new news to Pete and me so now I'm not sure what to think...at my next appt we'll prob find out more, but I'm pretty sure around March 10th if he could see me, then he'd do an exam to tell me more for sure...so keeping fingers crossed that the baby doesn't come any sooner than the 15th...I'm sure by the time I get to the 15th I'll be ready to pop more than ever but since Pete and I are moving this Thursday (YIPPEEEEEEEE!!!!) I'd love for baby to stay put haha
& on that note, I'm just going to add that I most likely won't be able to post ANYTHING until after the 4th or 5th of March since we prob won't have the internet hooked up until then...so for now I wish all you mommies the best of luck whether you are closing in on your final days & or are just finding out you're preggo!!! Feb 5th
So we had our 2nd ultrasound done today!!!
We still don't want to know the sex of the baby so Kathy, our technician was wonderful and just showed us around my belly :)
It was definitely hard to lay there with a full bladder but man was I lucky
when Kathy said I could take a quick break to pee!!!!! You only have to have a full bladder so they can check up on your cervix apparently!!!
Anyway, baby weighs 4 lbs 5 oz, heart rate was 147 bpm and now in the head down position :) We got three little pictures from today but I'm gunna have to scan them to my computer 1st before I can post them...OB appt this Thursday along w/our last Lamaze class!
My baby shower is this Sunday & I can't wait to see everyone!! Especially those who haven't even seen me pregnant yet lol I don't know how anyone who has a registry doesn't look theirs up online (mine's from Target & Baby Depot) and I keep looking for more stuff to add-which I need to stop doing, but then I find out what has already been purchased....I'm just so excited and I can't wait til we move so I can get this nursery underway!!!!! Ok, well I'll add more prob after the shower unless something comes up sooner!!!

Feb 1st
So I just wanted to add to my entries that I think within the last 2 or 3 days I felt the baby having hiccups!!! The thing that made me think that was that I was feeling movements but Pete couldn't feel anything and they were consistent!! I wasn't sure that it was the baby having hiccups or not the 1st night but we were watching a movie last night and I mentioned the same thing was happening again, so I'm pretty positive thats what it was!!! It was the cutest thing ever!!!!!
Anyways, Pete & I had our 5th Lamaze class last night and had our hospital tour of the birthing center!! I am so lucky to be delivering at such an amazing hospital! I think I want all my deliveries done there :) It really made everything feel real...just thinking about it makes me get all emotional bc just being there made me realize I'm going to have my baby in "one of those rooms"and be sent up to recovery in "one of those rooms" and have my baby sent to "one of those rooms"...kinda scary and exciting all in one!! Anyone else feel that way their trip to the hospital??
Ok, well, as for any other updates...I'll be 32 wks on Monday (or so we believe haha) and I'm already thinking I want to put a bag together...anybody have any suggestions on what to pack-I'm early whereas most women start a bag @ 35 wks but since we're moving (ahhhhh finally!!!) March 1st, I fig'd I'd rather have a bag packed so I don't have to dig through boxes....**we've already started packing and it feels great to be doing this a mo in advance rather than wait last minute lol** call me crazy but I'm considering leaving one bag in Pete's car and one bag in my car lol can never be too prepared haha well thats gunna be it for me...will post something new in the up and coming days after my 2nd US and OB appt next week prob :) Oh and as you can see, I'm looking fwd to my shower next Sunday!! Any ideas for games to play at a baby shower?

Alright.....change of plans...my mom found a great apartment listing in another city close by & mentioned the special they were having...well, Monday the 28th, Pete & I took a look @ it and realized we were then officially undecided and couldn't choose between the townhouse or this new apartment...well after much discussion Monday night and a phone call on Tuesday to the new apt place, we decided we were going to go with.......the new apartment place!!!!!!!!! We went in today after my last class & put down a security deposit! The place is ours & is being held for us for 30 days!!!!! It just works so much better for the both of us!!! I ended up taking around 60 pictures of the place today bc I was so excited!!! The layout is beautiful; we have newer appliances (stove & dishwasher), silver fixtures, cabinets, and an accent wall :) I'm just happy for the central air, the huge closets & storage, gorgeous bathroom, counter space & the dishwasher hahaha
Ok, enough on that lol we have our hospital tour this Thursday & I'm super excited to see the place where we're delivering! I just know I'll feel better when it comes time to get there and where to go!!!

Just wanted to say how super excited I am about having another ultrasound!! It's scheduled for February 5th @ 11:50 :)
And starting the 7th of Feb. I'm going to be seeing my OB every other 2 weeks now!!! It feels kind of like I have forever left to go but the more I think about it...it's really not too much further away!!

Alright so I've definitely procrastinated long enough on updating my page but now that I'm getting more and more settled into my "nesting" mode I'm feeling up to the challenge to catch everyone up to date :)
I've been pretty good about eating healthy and making sure I get good exercise. With Pete as my partner he makes sure I don't stay in and become a couch potato haha Well as of today, I am about 30 weeks and 2 days along so far...I have my next OB appt tomorrow morning & I'm hoping to get scheduled for another ultrasound sooner rather than later!!
As for updates from last mo', my Christmas was alright...however my mom's aunt passed away at the end of November coincidentally on the day my mom, dad, and I were at the vet's under the impression we might be putting our cocker spaniel down. Our vet thought there might be some hope for her but exactly two weeks later, as my parents were taking her to be put down again, she passed away on the way to the vets in my mothers arms :( It was a very sad holiday season as we have always gone down to visit my mom's aunt and uncle and our cocker spaniel, Cassie, was only 10 years old and in all our family pictures...Back in '99 my dad's grandmother (my great grandma kay) & my mom's poodle, Pepper, passed away on the same day. Unfortunate, yes. Strange and ironic, most definitely.
Anyway, moving into the New Year...Pete ended up coming down w/a really bad cold on New Years Eve, causing him to miss one of the biggest nights of working as a bartender...we really could have used the $$ but his health was way more important...he even ended up going in to work for about an hour and everyone just told him to go home because of how aweful he looked....well, being the warm and loving person that I am :) I thought I could nurse Pete back to health...and not get what he had. Well, I was dead wrong. I ended up coming down w/the flu 2 days later and Pete then had to take care of me... there was a day where we both had to fend for ourselves bc we were both so sick....but we ended up getting over being sick in time for the weekend and Pete went back to work to make double what he would have on New Years Eve!! God definitely had our backs on that one!!
Lets see....ok...Pete and I signed up for Lamaze classes...unfortunately we missed the 1st class...1 bc I changed the day to when Pete had off work, and 2 because we were both sick. But as for my classes so far, I'm really happy I signed up because it's been a great eye opening experience not only for me but DEF for Pete!! We're now a little more comfortable with different situations unlike before where we were set on having a natural birth w/no medications and def. no c-sections...we're aware that anything could happen and I don't want to say no to medication/drugs all together too quickly...I'm open to the idea that its a possibility.
As for me, Spring semester has started and I'm taking a full load-13 hrs....I'm sure my prof's think I'm crazy but I know I can do it!! I only have class MW & Sat am's so it's not like I have class 5 days a week and would be missing a lot....I'm hoping to take off a week or two at the most....other than that all my prof's have told me that they are MORE than willing to work with me and working out a schedule to make up anything I miss :) How wonderful?? I'm not worried about this semester at all!!! I'm just thinking about our big move & my baby shower that are comin up!
Alright, last 2 things to talk about...whats with our big move, you ask? Well, go figure but my due date just so happens to coinside with the end of our current lease...great huh? Well, after about 4 n a half mo's of apt searching, Pete & I have found THE perfect place to settle down for a brief time in our lives :) It's a townhouse w/ an up & a down...park at your own backdoor, WD hookups-my parents have already offered us their current washer and dryer as they want to buy new ones anyway (super excited about that lol) anyway, the 2nd bdrm is perfect for the nursery and has plenty of storage in the closet! It's got a full eat-in kitchen and we couldn't be happier w/our choice to move! We're signing the lease the 1st of Feb and we can start moving in whenever after that-so technically we'll be living in 2 places for maybe a week or two but the move is well worth it because I want to have things ready for when the baby comes & we're not doing anything too last minute!!! So, last but not least, my baby shower! My gf Krissie and I have been working on plans for a little over a mo now and we are pretty much all set...minus putting in an order for our caterer which my mom is doing sometime the end of this week!!! The shower is set for Feb 10th @ 1 pm in this great newly remodeed clubhouse in my hometown in my grandpa's development :) We have the place from 11 am-5 pm & we have a theme picked out, I've got a full list of items I'm desperately in need of on my registry at Target and Baby Depot & the invitations went out this past weekend!!! I can't wait!!! I think Krissie and I need to do some shopping before the shower so we can find cute outfits to wear-me more than her but hers will prob be easier to put together lol maternity clothes could still afford to be "a little" cuter but I'm lucky to have whats available now lol
OK. I'm done updating. I will prob add a few more updates before the baby is due, and I'll get around to posting belly pix next time...they're already on myspace but I just need to add them on here...well, until next time, take care mommies! So since I've been a little MIA lately I figured I'd update everyone on how I'm feeling and how the baby is :) Proud to report that we're both doing very well!
Since Pete and had our last ultrasound on the 16th last mo' the technician put me around 20 weeks and 4 days...so now if I'm going by that then I'm 25 weeks and 3 days along. I have been feeling lots of movements from our little one & Pete finally got to feel some really good kicks! I think I may have been pushing him to feel any kind of movement because when we're getting ready to fall asleep, the second I feel a good pattern of movements I'll make him put his hand on the spot and make him wait. Well, the other night he got sick of waiting and I told him no I promise he'd feel something and whatdya know he did!!! His facial expression was priceless!!! I couldn't believe how happy he was! I don't think we fell asleep for another hour just because he was trying to feel more kicks!
As for our last OB appt, which was on the 14th, the doctor felt my tummy to check on the growth and development and he said our little pumpkin was definitely getting bigger! (now add a cute german accent to an older man and thats what Pete and I heard!) He's such a nice man & I'm sooo happy I switched OB's!! He also said that when he heard the hearthbeat it sounded like a boy...there's some saying that if the heartbeat sounds like a galloping horse it might be a boy, but if it sounds like a choo choo train chugging along then it might be a girl...huh, who knew? Anyway I'm going in either this Friday or one day next week for my glucose test. I'm not looking forward to it because I heard if you don't pass the 1st time then you have to take the 3 hr long test :( But I'll prob go Friday. I really need to get my thyroid checked again because it's been a while and when I found out we were expecting my thryoid went into the "normal" zone so I was told to stop taking my medication immediately...now I'm just hoping there's a better chance I'm still ok and don't have to resume my medication...crossing my fingers on that one!
Well, next OB appt is set for the 16th of Jan next year...oh my gosh...the year my baby will be born in...and the year Pete and I are getting married in...ahh so many changes are about to happen and I can't even begin to imagine how much my life is going to completely change....Pete and I can't wait to see our lil one....still hoping for a little boy secretly...well,not so secretly now, but I still say if it turns out to be a girl I will be equally blessed no matter what!
Getting together with my girlfriend, Krissie, tomorrow hopefully to look at the clubhouse where we're planning on having the baby shower in (we're thinking either the 26thth of Jan, the 2nd of Feb, or the 9th/10th of Feb) & then going to buy some invitations (hopefully) and get some party planning ideas undeway!! I'm so excited! Since Pete and I are moving to a new apt basically right around the time that I'm due...I know right, what perfect timing haha, but I'm getting all excited about moving baby stuff into a new place and get started on the decorating right away! I just wish it was a littler sooner that we were moving but soon enough it will be a place to call home for baby :) Argh! Stupid pregnancy hormones...making me well up and get all teary eyed just like that at the drop of a hat! Oh well! Take it easy all you mommie's and mommy-to-be's!!! Happy Holidays!!!

The greatest thing happened today! Pete & I finally got to see our little one for the first time via ultrasound!!!!!!! It was the longest morning ever but it was definitely worth the wait!!! The appointment was scheduled for 10:45 am but they were an hour behind since someone from their office called off....so Pete & I headed to Einstein's for something to eat...my bladder was feeling pretty full but I made it back to the hospital without too much discomfort. We prob waited another 15-20 min before the called us back and our appointment was supposed to take about 45 min-30 for measurings and whatnot and the 15 to see whatever we wanted to of our baby!!! I thought I drank enough water but apparently not lol I had to guzzle down half a liter more than I wanted to but no biggie right? :) Anyway, the technician said she was having a hard time keeping up with our lil one cuz it was moving around soo much :) YAY! we have a mover n a groover lol So we got several still pix & 5 short videos!!!!!! That was way better than I thought it was gunna be :) If i knew how to post videos I would but I'll figure that out some other time...for now I have a few pix up so enjoy! I know Pete & I sure do :) Oh yeah so as of 11.16.07 they have me measured at 20 weeks and 4 days so there's a 3 day discrepency between them and my EDD so lets see who's closer lol

Hi guys! I just thought I'd add a quick update!! Pete & I got our OB/GYN switched finally!!! Our original doctor was soo incredibly not personable & always made us feel rushed or that we were wasting her time! I couldn't stand it so I had to switch! Turns out I am now going to be seeing the man who actually delivered Pete!! Along w/his sister and some of their cousins!! I'm so happy! Even my fam physician from my hometown recommended him...why didn't I just go w/him from the beginning?! Grr oh well! I have to have a meeting/reg appt with him first before I do the US-ugh which means now we have to wait longer to see our little one...maybe...my next appt is Nov 15th & I may or may not get to have an US...the tech will be there that day but all I know is that I'm bringing a couple bottles of water so I'm prepared that day if need be! If I could give any word of advice to any new mommies...go with your instincts on your choice of OB/GYN's!!! You want to feel comfortable with whom you're talking to and you want to know they're not just rushing you along! If you're a 1st time mommy and you want to hear your baby's heartbeat for longer than 10 sec. then say something! Speak up! Ask questions! Get to know who your dr is asap-if you're new to their practice or whatever....you will feel worlds of difference better! I promise! Ok, enough ranting out of me...I'll be 20 weeks on Friday!!!!!!!!!! Halfway there! Woo hoo!!!!!

Hi ladies! Just wanted to add a quick update!
I feel like I've finally started showing and its obvious to others now...that is if Pete hasn't already mentioned the fact that I'm a little over 4 mo's pregnant lol He is soo happy that he's going to be a daddy~it's the sweetest thing! He kisses my belly every morning and every night and who knows how many times during the day :) It just makes my heart melt all over again whenever I hear him talking to our a little one when he thinks I'm asleep!!! I love him so much & I can't wait until baby is born so we'll have a little family!! I just love picturing him holding our son or daughter for the first time. I get all choked up because I know he's going to be such a wonderful father!! He's been so incredibly supportive throughout my entire pregnancy so far...even tho he's just now getting a more "in the mood" fiance lol Now he knows it takes about 2-3 mo's for mommy to get some energy back lol anyway.....
Our next OB appt is next Wed(the 24th) and we're both soo excited!!! I am suposed to be having some blood work done...maybe...Pete and I have talked about the testings and whatnot and I think we're going to pass...its God's will for us to deal with every curve in the road ahead of us....anybody else goin the same route? Well, I always end up writing a novel every time I leave an entry on here so until next time...congrats to all you new mommies out there and God bless :)

Oct 6th

So I'm pretty excited cuz I finally got 2 new pairs of maternity jeans from Old Navy so I can finally go out in public comfy instead of in sweat pants or capris :)

I've decided on a theme for the babie's room too-since I have officially changed my mind and said I don't want to know the baby's sex until its born, we're obviously stuck with doing basics...but thats more than ok because there is def talk of future babies so reusing the theme shouldn't be a problem at all!!! I've decided to do Classic Winnie the Pooh!
I'm so lucky to have a gf w/a good eye for deals too-my friend krissie found a full crib set on sale for like $40!! And it was the Classic Winnie the Pooh theme just like I wanted!!! It comes with not 1 but 4 different mattress sheets, a soft blanket, crib bumpber pads & dust ruffle!!!! and i think she got a matching lamp for the room too :)
Oh yeah and I have to add that I've gotten some super cute clothes so far: some 0-3 mo onesies, some socks and hats (march baby) and i won a pooh musical mobile on eBay along w/2 cute pooh framed pictures fot the baby's room for our new apt :)

Oct 3rd
YAY!! today is my 2nd OB appt!!!
We arrived 10 min early & were seen on time :)
I had to pee on some other lil stick....not a preg test but maybe-I dunno the nurse didn't explain so whatever...anyway, had my blood pressure taken-perfect....then just had to wait for the dr to come in again & she just asked if we had any other questions and then used a fetal heart monitor again!!! this time she told us that the heartbeat was 147 BPM :) she said that was right in the middle so thats good!!!
That was it.
Next OB appt is Oct 24th & this time we get to see our lil one!!!
OMG I can't wait!!!!! Next time I think we're gunna try to bring a tape recorder and record the heartbeat!!!....we're actually talking about buying a fetal heartbeat moniter just to make us feel more at ease....

Sept 22nd
Today is Pete's cousin Jon & Gina's wedding :)
This is prob around one the first days that I am starting to feel a lot better...today is supposedly the start of my 2nd trimester but I'm not really sure...anyway today is really special for me since its the first time I really get to dress up w/Pete...usually he's the one who gets all dressed in black for his bartending job & every night he leaves for work I get a little sad knowing other women are looking at my hot fiance in his ass pants :( oh well....i know he comes home to me :) so haha besides those are older women who are prob divorced anyway looking for a new man/hookup....hence the nickname for the 3 restaurants in the area....the viagra triangle!!!
anyway...i get off topic easily...tonight was a lot of fun minus the part where pete found himself mixing all the drinks he possibly could under the sun...so who gets to take care of mr bigtipper? thats right me.....that was one of the longest nights i've ever had to stay up w/pete....poor baby....i'm not exactly sure what happened a few hrs after I got pete to bed...but I woke up in the middle of the night and vomited for the FIRST time of my pregnancy....I honestly don't even think it was pregnanxy-related!!! it was prob my nerves from the intense night...
oh well...my next OB appt is coming up soon!

I'm officially 3 mo's pregnant today!!!

Sept 5th
Day of our 1st OB appt :) Since I'm just adding this I can't remember all the details but it was a very frustrating day to start because Pete & I were told to go to one hospital back in july when i booked the appt (2 mo's ago) and nobody corrected me yesterday when I called to double-check on the location and office number....grrr anyway....
As we stroll in 45 min late.....fyi: major exaggeration...we finally get in to see a nurse....i have to pee in a cup for them to verify my pregnancy... she weighs me, then we wait in the dr's office for the Q&A portion of our visit....
our dr seems to be very rushed but whatever...
next part...the wonderful pap smear...this was by the worst one i've ever had in my history of pap's!!!!! she was very forceful & pressed really hard on my pelvic area...i'm like lady...you're gunna smush my baby but anyway....the next part was the most exciting ever!!!
Pete & I got to hear our lil one's heartbeat for the first time...it was the most amazing thing ever!
Pete was like it sounds like swooshy pants which made me laugh then made the dr lose the hearbeat for like 2 min and then she got it back....I couldn't have been any happier when I walked out of the dr's office....
Next OB appt is set for October 3rd!
