September 7, 2007-Ok. So I'm 24 weeks now and we know it's a boy. We can't wait! I can't believe we have to wait 3 1/2 more months. At the same time, that could fly by. We don't even have a crib yet! We're finally settled in our new home. We're a long way from home now and it's all on us. That's what we get for wanting to be independent. But my mom always said I was stubborn :) So far it looks like my son will be too. He is already fighting the doctors on things. When I went for my sonogram last month, he would NOT turn over for the nurse, and I just kept laughing. I don't think that nurse was happy with us at all ;)

My little man :)

My sweet hubby and me when we first met.

My crazy little sister. She can't wait to be the "Cool Aunt".

September 25, 2007 - I went for my glucose test yesterday and it came back high so I guess I have to go for the stupid 3 hour test. On a brighter note, I made it to my Third Trimester today! So exciting :) We've finally decided on the name Mason Joshua for our little mansy! And he is stubborn as all hell. I think he'll be funny and active too. He's always kicking now and doing exactly the opposite of whatever the docs try to make him do, lol! He already makes me laugh :)

October 7, 2007 - Well, I've finally started getting ready to put together a nursery. I picked out the cutest surfer bedding set and painted a big sun and surfboard mural for Mason's walls. A few of the many grandparents are planning on buying the crib, dresser and bedding set, so I'm waiting on that. I wish I could've just bought them myself, but funds are low. Mason is kicking all the time like crazy now. Last night I was almost in tears from him kicking so hard! I could actually feel his little fists through my stomach! I feel like I can't wait anymore to see his little face and hold him. I know I'm supposed to be enjoying this "wonderful time" but I really just want it to be over so I can meet my son.

The bedding I picked out. I can't wait to get it!

October 11, 2007 - It's my fiance's and my 11 month anniversary today and I just found out I finally got a job! I've been living here for a little over 2 months and no one would hire me because I was preggo. I start next week and I am SOOOO excited :) I can't wait to get a discount on all kinds of baby stuff!

October 16, 2007 - I met the midwife today that will be delivering our son and I am SO relieved! She is very nice and completely willing to work with me on dlivering exactly the way I want to. She is also the first one of my doctors to ask how I was feeling and what questions and concerns I had. She also looked up my old test results from my fiance's CF test from A MONTH ago that none of my other doctors seemed to be able to get around to. What a relief! I am 30 weeks today so I only have 10 weeks to go until my due date! Dr. Jeffries told me today that he and I were both doing great and are healthy so I am a happy girl! :)

October 23, 2007 - I had a pretty big scare today. Mason wasn't moving very much in the past 3 days so I called my doc and was sent to the hospital to get checked out. I probably wouldn't have been so worried if he hadn't sent me to the hospital! But I'm glad that I went. They monitored my baby's heart rate for a couple hours and checked me out, and everything is fine now. Of course, about an hour into my visit, he started moving around and kicking lol! I think he just likes to scare me. I'm willing to bet now that he's gonna be the kind of kid that tests me at every milestone and jumps off high places just to freak me out. I'd put money on it ;P. Anyway, we both checked out ok and are home safe and sound. Oh, and I'm 31 weeks today, so I only have 9 weeks to go, and only 2 months! It seems like time is going so fast now....Oh, and I talked to my Mom tonight for a while, which was nice. I finally convinced her to buy 2 plane tickets instead of 5. So, it'll just be either her and my Dad (if he's feeling better from surgery) or her and my sister, instead of the whole family. She wanted to bring everyone, but I told her that may be a little much for us to deal with. 3 rotten teenagers, 2 crazy parents, and 1 screaming baby? I think I'll pass :)

November 13, 2007 - 34 weeks - I had another doc appt today and she said everything looks great! Mason is finally head down and his boney little butt is what has been poking my ribs for two weeks! Ouch! But I'm just glad everything looks good. I start going every week now, and technically he could be here in 3 weeks at the earliest, but he's not due for 6. Last night my fiance and I went to a newborn care class and we had so much fun! He fought me and fought me on going and threw a little temper tantrum when I made him, AND b*tched the whole way in the car, but when we got there he got really into it and said he had a lot of fun :) I was so emotional too lol! As soon as that nurse handed that baby doll to him and I saw how gently and affectionately he held it, I started bawling lol! He was a complete natural, and I think it really made us realize that we are going to be parents really soon. It's such a crazy concept. I was really proud of him though and really proud to be with him. I think I fell in love with him all over again :) He learned how to change a diaper, swaddle, dress a circumcision, clean the belly button, and hold the baby in different ways, and he did so well :) We also had our 1 year anniversary the other day and jsut stayed home and I cooked dinner :) I can't wait for Mason to get here so I can stay home from work with him. It will be so nice to have my honey come home to a little family...even if the baby is just crying and pooping all the time lol!

November 20, 2007 - 35 weeks - Wow. I went to the doctor today and she said that the pains I've been having are actually contractions and I'm starting to thin out! She says I need to take it easy and try to keep that baby in there for at least another week. I can't believe it's so close already! I've decided to try to cherish every day of pregnancy that I have left because I may not be pregnant for that much longer now. We finally got the crib and put it together and washed all the bedding and put that on too. The dresser is here but not assembled yet :( I still have a lot of things to do and buy. I still need to wash all of his clothes and finish packing my suitcase for the hospital too! I guess I'd really better get going on all that stuff! :P

December 6, 2007- 37 weeks - Well, the last time that I went to the doctor, she was very impersonal and changed her answers on everything she had told me. She even got my due date wrong! At first I thought maybe she just had a bad day, but then my fiance said he didn't like her either and I talked to a couple other people who had her and said she was kinda bad too, so I decided to see a new doctor today and I am so glad I did! She said everything looked great with my baby and she was able to schedule an induction for me right away. I had been asking my other doctor for weeks to do that! So as of today, if baby Mason has not arrived by the 19th, we're going to induce. Thank God! I do not want to be in the hospital on Christmas! I want to be home with my son and my family :)

December 11, 2007 - 38 weeks - I went to the doc again today and I FINALLY found one that I like! She is definately my favorite so far. I wonder if I can change and see if she'll deliver me instead. Anyway, she checked me and we found that I was almost 1 cm dialated so she stretched me the rest of the way. It made me so sick! I waited for her to leave and then I threw up (sorry TMI), so I know if I can't handle that, then I definately need the epidural. So, she said I'm 1 cm dialated now and 70% effaced. I also started loosing my plug last night and I lost another piece tonight, so I guess he could come any day now? My fiance and I are so excited :) He actually came home from work early today when I told him what the doc said. He said "I need to be with you right now." I don't know if it was more for me or for him though! lol :) So when I got home he held me until I fell asleep because I was so crampy. I think tomorrow I'll try to take a long walk and see if that helps move things along...

PRETTIEST MOM
Once you have been hit, you have to hit 5 pretty Moms.
If you get hit again, You will know you are REALLY pretty!
So hit 15 pretty moms on your friends list to let them know they are
pretty!
Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her
down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
Send this to someone who you think is a special Mom.''
