Wow that's actually a really good idea because I definitely didn't want anyone to feel obligated to get me anything. Thanks!

hi I'm a hair stylist and I was reading about the head lice case..... you're very lucky she doesn't have it and a little tip keep her hair back in a braid or pony tail and spray it down with hairspray before school lice don't like product because they can't stick to the hair

Hey i be the same as you commented in 28 weeks preg. its good to vent! Its hormones as well! Plus the fact when preg there not much we can enjoy or do to an extent! Have you got friends you could pop by to and spend the day with and yer kids play together in a park or somth and go for bite to eat! Im living an hour and half away from my family and friends so iv no one! But iv made new friends and its just about arranging things with them for day and feel so good after! Its hard been a stay at home mum you need adult conversation! With your man planning things ahead would prop work, mark a date and say on this date we are not doing house up we are not going off with our friends but we are gonna take time out just to spend time together just the 2 of us no excuses phones of even to go away for day or spend a nite somewhere! Leave your daughter with family just be too of ye. Then another day involve the 3 of ye before baby comes! As when baby comes its gonna be alot looking after too. Baby been young hard do anything then! I know you like get house done im the same if you only saw state of it youd cry too. But its very slow sometimes feels like getting no where but i know my man has get it done and he will its tiring for us all and frustrating causes fights. But house our no house you DEF need a Break and grab it while you can! So i hope goes well for you and know i know how you feel and im here to talk! Take care. Thatch x

I read your post about being upset at your DH and all. It's hard when they don't understand. I have plenty of issues with mine! However, they have their own point-of-view, and I try to take his reasons into consideration before flipping out. You'll probably feel better later today. Good luck! The circus should be fun, and I would just invite your sister to your shower and be done with it. You don't need more stress in your life right now. Just let it go. Focus on all the positives. I wish you the best!!!

My little guy does the growth-spurt shuffle, too. A day or two of near nothing. Then he parties like a rock star for a day or two. During his "quiet" days the only movement is hiccups. During his "game-on" days he's doing flips, stretching, hiccuping, and yesterday he started flailing his arms or legs around. It was insane! The party days are starting to give me round ligament pains- for the first time. Man, those are like the worst side-stitches ever!

Hi Jaclyn! Glad you are doing well. What name do have for the handsome little man? Life in New York is great! My life really is one that I am gratefult for. I wake up with a smile and go to bed with a smile (usually, if my back isnt killing me, lol). We have the babies (Brenna) room all set and ready to be occupied. My oldest daughter is thrilled to be a big sister! Have a great day! REST!

I'm good. I have the first birthing class tonight and hubby has to work so my sons standing in for him on the first one. Should'nt be so bad for him as it it just an introduction, but funny all the same :) The heartburn has been a pain for me as well. Use the tums they do help!

Beckaboo - Wednesday, 14 May
How are you feeling these days? I am getting to the point of..."Is it time yet"? lol

fabforty - Wednesday, 14 May
I'm getting heartburn every night! It has gotten so gad that I keep the TUMS on my nightstand! Funny thing is, it doesn't matter what time I eat or what I eat. At this point, I just expect it. How are you?

I have a 6 week old and I am breastfeeding with implants. Mine were put in under the muscle and I haven't had any problems breastfeeding except for engorgement. Sometimes my breasts get so engorged soquickly because of the implants that my son cant latch and the milk sprays him in the face....poor little guy! I have been pumping and giving him bottles when this happens because h e gets frusterated and cries.

No problem, anytime... Here's one suggestion: I still recommend painting the room one overall gender neutral color - maybe you pick an accent wall if you like. I think it might be best to make it known that it's their room to share rather than his & her side (just a thought). If you want to make it more personal for her, help her pick something such as a mural painted above her bed or something that just really speaks of her. That way it's still personalized. Try to make a big deal over how nice it is that her room is getting a makeover =) I'm sure you will figure out something great, but try to think of something other than the half pink, half blue compromise - there are so many cool things you can do to inspire the theme of a shared space.

Thanks hun! I'm better today but I thought I was losing my mind earlier in the week and told my husband that I was taking a vaction away from the drama :) He just laughed and said, "we'd just follow you!"

Hey! Not to worry about the moods..I have cried 4 times in the last 3 days. The reasons range from my son looking at colleges to go to in 2009, LOL, to my hubby talking about his mom who passed away 5 years ago and then finally Mother's day seems extremely emotionally overwhelming! It has been a week!

Have you thought about hanging something to keep the sides seperate so she can have like a little princess hideaway and his can look boyish. I don't know how the room is set up so that might not work. My daughter is five and she loves little hideaways and I hang sheer drapes and lights. It looks super cute :) Good luck~

Jennifer - Thursday, 8 May
Just some suggestions in your room....how about doing it in classic crayon colors.great for kids, each can add a personal touch, and you can find lots of thigs with that color combo for cheap. Talk to your little one about it....see what she thinks....Good Luck!

Pachy - Thursday, 8 May
Hi Jaclyn, I've been reading your posts for a few days now, I know you are stressed out about your children's room, maybe your daughter will feel more comfortable if you used a neutral color for the new set up of her room. I don't have any children yet, but I live in a 1 br apartment (NY, of course), and until we find a $uitable apartment I'm not moving, so, we will have the baby in our room, I plan to paint the room in white, or light beige, and the wall where his crib is going to be a cute shade of green, then a nice border, maybe brown, green & blue (no animals, sports or jungle themes for me). I' ll just try to keep it neutral, not too much baby blue. I hope his helps you a little!! Feel better.

Heather-08-01 - Thursday, 8 May
Hey, I'm an interior designer and a boy's room doesn't have to be blue and a girls pink. Why not choose a color that suits both? I'm doing my baby's room in green and turquiose. The theme is geometrics - very gender neutral, but it's going to be great and a room any little boy or girl will love. Try to think a little more outside the box - I'm sure you little girl would love to have a room makeover so long as it suits her tastes too =) Good luck!

Jennifer - Thursday, 8 May
I found that eating bannanas and drinking milk help with the toe cramps LOL Those are the worst pain for me :D hope it works for you!!

mumofsix - Thursday, 8 May
Just a note to say persevere with the whole bed change thing. I have always found that a couple of weeks of being consistent and persevering pays off in the long run. When you back down or give in, it makes it all the harder. Put in the hard slogger for a couple of weeks, tolerate the crying knowing that it is not a life threatening thing and before you know it she will be settled. All the best.
