Yay! Week 17 already. This pregnancy is flying by, and dragging at the same time. I hopefully find out the baby's gender in two weeks, but my loopy doctor forgot to tell us when she was making the appointment for, so if she doesn't call in a couple days, I'll have to check up on her and make she atleast MADE an appointment!

Tuesday, 11 Dec
I'm excited to be in week 18. Every week that goes by makes this baby deal seem more real. Less likely to become another miscarriage statistic. My doctor finally called me back, but she waited too long to make the appointment so I don't get to find out if I'm doing pink or blue 'til December 26th. Oh, well. It could be a good thing, because the later it is, the clearer picture they'll get! I've been getting a lot of headaches. I refuse to take anything for them, though, because I'm way too paranoid that I'm going to lose the baby. I read that headaches can be linked to boy pregnancies, so I'll keep my fingers crossed and think blue thoughts. ;-)

Thursday, 27 Dec

Week 20, wahoo! half-way mark feels like such an accomplishment. It has flown by and it won `t be long now until my little girl is here in my arms instead of my belly. Yes, I did say GIRL. We had our ultrasound yesterday morning and she `s definitely a girl! YAY! I went out last night and bought a bunch of pink stuff to hang up in my room. Looking up at baby stuff is a very happy way to wake up every morning.

wow......so how did they decide that they needed to do the c-section...
were u as concerned about the pre-eclampsia as the doc was or were u shocked that they wanted to take the baby early??

kate3boysandagirl - Wednesday, 23 April
my doc refused to induce me before 39 weeks exactly

cjmc2577 - Friday, 18 April
They induce you at 38 weeks the baby is full term by that time. i was induced for both of mine and will be for this one if i dont go before 38 weeks on my own. good luck!

petersonj - Thursday, 17 April
I'm the same way with peeing. I don't go until I absolutely have to because it is such a painfull process that it's ridiculous. I don't really know if it's painful as much as uncomfortable. It's worse for me in the middle of the night because I think my bladder just doesn't work properly because it's so sleepy ha-ha.

EVEMOMAGAIN - Thursday, 17 April
One of the things the doc always says is if you feel any type of pain followed by bleeding or spotting..to call!! I wouldn't take the chance, I would call immediately just for a piece of mind. Good luck!

sarahjk - Wednesday, 16 April
pain in vagina maybe varicous veins, nothing to worry about get some rest. very common in later preggy

cristty - Wednesday, 16 April
you are loosing you mucus plug probably... you should call your doctor!!

babyoneg - Monday, 14 April
Hey! My doctor would absolutely not induce early. I am actually going to be 42 weeks tomorrow and he is inducing then. He wouldn't even talk of it before now. My dr. is VERY conservative though... maybe your dr. will be more understanding. Good luck!

NumberFive - Saturday, 12 April
its so hard to tell, but u noticed a differance, so that eans something!

NumberFive - Friday, 11 April

NumberFive - Thursday, 10 April
thqanks so much, i ams cared to try have u? did u get any results?

NumberFive - Thursday, 10 April
hey did u find out how to check ur won cervix? If so can u foward it to me, i know when i was dialted b4 my husband streched menad if u go way up u feel something soft and if u can get 2 fingers in it it means 4 cm i beleive, if that hepls at all?

Angiepangie - Thursday, 10 April
Sounds to me like you are starting to dilate! That's exciting! As far as knowing for sure if that IS what you're feeling, only time will tell...if the space gets progressively bigger, or you start to pass your mucus plug, then you'll know for sure. Don't get too wound up though...women can start to dilate quite early and then stop for a while or slow down. Just keep doing what you're doing, if you want to keep track of it. Good luck!

Angiepangie - Sunday, 6 April
Ok, so here's how you check your cervix. Squat down in a 'frog' position (either in the shower or right after for cleanliness) and use your middle finger to find your cervix. You might have to 'bare down' to feel it. It should feel slightly firm, with an indentation in the centre. Kind of like pursed lips, but without the ridges (purse your lips and feel for comparison). If you can put the tip of your finger (or more ) into the centre, then your cervix isn't closed. You should just be able to feel a dent, but not a space.Hope this helps. P.S. Don't try this if you have long fingernails...you don't want to hurt yourself!

laceyj - Saturday, 5 April
thakz helped put my worries at ease xx

babyagain - Saturday, 5 April
Oh hun I feel your frustration...We were done when I had my second, and because of that we got rid of everything but the crib set. Have they offered to give the stuff back now that they are done with it?? NO. We will have to buy everything again, and I KNOW this will be my last...(My hubby is going under the knife) so again we will give everything away.

it feels good to vent :o)

I am sorry to hear about your shower. I have mine tomorrow and worry if I will get all thats really needed. Money is not great right now and we could really use a lot of things. I would recommend trying Craigslist.com or ebay for some things you would be amazed at how much you might save. Good luck and hope you get some surprise gifts soon.

bittybop - Monday, 31 Mar
The FFN tests aren't 100% accurate, I have you been counting how many contractions you have per hour? That is a shame they are causing you so much grief. Hope your doc can help you!

snowwhite5thbabe - Monday, 31 Mar
I get painful BH contractions that don't go away till I finally drink enough. It also helps to rest on my left side. They didn't impact my cervix at all...
