Yay! Week 17 already. This pregnancy is flying by, and dragging at the same time. I hopefully find out the baby's gender in two weeks, but my loopy doctor forgot to tell us when she was making the appointment for, so if she doesn't call in a couple days, I'll have to check up on her and make she atleast MADE an appointment!

Tuesday, 11 Dec
I'm excited to be in week 18. Every week that goes by makes this baby deal seem more real. Less likely to become another miscarriage statistic. My doctor finally called me back, but she waited too long to make the appointment so I don't get to find out if I'm doing pink or blue 'til December 26th. Oh, well. It could be a good thing, because the later it is, the clearer picture they'll get! I've been getting a lot of headaches. I refuse to take anything for them, though, because I'm way too paranoid that I'm going to lose the baby. I read that headaches can be linked to boy pregnancies, so I'll keep my fingers crossed and think blue thoughts. ;-)

Week 20, wahoo! half-way mark feels like such an accomplishment. It has flown by and it won `t be long now until my little girl is here in my arms instead of my belly. Yes, I did say GIRL. We had our ultrasound yesterday morning and she `s definitely a girl! YAY! I went out last night and bought a bunch of pink stuff to hang up in my room. Looking up at baby stuff is a very happy way to wake up every morning.

I think it took about a week...Avryl wasn't eating very good either until it went away completely..then I kid you not...she gained 2 pounds like that! Im kind of in the same boat because she wont take a bottle at all..and we might have to cancel our anniversary trip to Disneyland:( Good luck with everything!

I has a similar situation with the thrush thing...when I finally saw a doctor she gave me yeast infection medicine and lotromin for the nipples...I know what yor thinking.. lotromin? as in foot cream? I was hesitant to use it but it worked like a charm.

hi i had really heavy bleeding with clots, did not test thought it was period, when i found out i was pregnant, according to docs the date i started bleeding would have been the egg implanting itself, so could be i would wait a week then test gl x

jacquelyn-i don't know if you have spoken with your ob yet, but I was told to wait about 8 mos after my c-section to ttc. She said to wait to ensure the scar tissue would be completely healed and I would have better chances of no complications. My son is 10 months old now and we are ttc. I understand wanting another baby so soon, you may want to hold off a little longer if u can, just to make sure "Mommy" is in perfect health!!! Talk to the doc, make sure all is healed with you first before you get prego! (Good luck !)

ABCMommy - Sunday, 6 July
thanks for your comment, i'll try massaging the scar and see if that smooths it out.

thank you! That makes me feel better. I don't remember if my doctor warned me or not. So I guess I will just have to wait.

Hey there, thanks for your reply. Seems like you and me had similar experiences, the doc also broke my water very early on as well, before starting me on pitocin, it would have been best if they hadnt of done that, because like you, there was no reason why I had to have my section, just that he wouldnt come out and because my waters had be broken for ages they thought it was best to do the operation. My baby was ok, I was ok, but they took it upon themselves to make me do it and like you, I feel very hurt and bitter about it. I wanted a few kids as well, but the section does restrict you doesnt it. I was angry cos I thought how dare they, they have now made the choice for me and it will affect the rest of my life. I was just like you, I was in tears when they told me I had to have the section, all they wanted to do was make me sign a disclamer and get me into theatre. The section went wrong and I lost lots of blood. I dont blame you for wanting another baby, and i wish you all the best for it, but do be careful as you havent long since recovered from your op. Are you going to try a vbac or will you just have another section? hell knows what I am gonna do, i would really like a normal birth, cos the section haunts me, it was the worst experience of my life! But what if it happens again and I have a long long labour and end up with c-section....watch this space! lol. Best of luck to you.

You never know though... Im sure if you expressed your concerns to your doctor they may let you try for a vbac that soon after surgery. I didnt know that doctors didnt like to do more than three sections, but dont give up hope, lots of women do have sucessfull vbac's and Im sure its been done many times before before the one year preference is up! Good Luck!

I saw your post about having another child so soon after a c-section. I too just had my baby only 14 weeks ago, and want another one very much. I am asking around to see who has had babies so close together with c-section. Everyone tells me to wait 1-2 years as well the doctors... I'm still not convinced on waiting that long. I read somewhere that the uterus heals fully after 3 months. I am still doing some research, but I will let you know what comes up in my searches on the topic. In the meantime though, I'm just not using birth control, and figure that the Blesses Goddess will look after me.

hey just read your post about a vbac. I also had a c-section and my doctor suggested waiting at least a year...two would be better, before getting pregnant again to allow my body to heal from the surgery. It has been 10 months and we are ttc again... so i hope i waited long enough. I think ten weeks may be a bit early to ttc again after a c-section, not sure if your body has had time to recover. But who knows.. ask your doctor. I know the sooner you get preg. after surgery the greater risk of uterine rupture. If you did get pregnant in the next few months, i would opt for another section to avoid that risk as it can be life threatening for you and baby. Best wishes on ttc!

I gotcha! Sounds like you have everything under control!

niseybear - Friday, 13 June
Listen, I'm not badgering or condemning you, I just want you to be careful. Try swaddling your little one and then put her back on her back. I'm telling you until they learn to lift that head and not lie face down it's just not safe and you cannot stay awake to make sure they are okay, it will drive you nuts and you'll be of no use to your little one because you'll be exhausted. And remember, they aren't supposed to sleep for long periods of time right now anyway. At the age your little one is now, I believe my little man was waking every two-three hours for a feeding. (Is she 2 weeks or one month? Your child profile says she was born April 20th, but on the SIDS forum you said she's a couple of weeks) Boy, hard to believe he sleeps 10-11 hours now! He's six months by the way. So anyway, try the swaddling instead and good luck to you. Congrats and best of luck!
