Yay! Week 17 already. This pregnancy is flying by, and dragging at the same time. I hopefully find out the baby's gender in two weeks, but my loopy doctor forgot to tell us when she was making the appointment for, so if she doesn't call in a couple days, I'll have to check up on her and make she atleast MADE an appointment!

I'm excited to be in week 18. Every week that goes by makes this baby deal seem more real. Less likely to become another miscarriage statistic. My doctor finally called me back, but she waited too long to make the appointment so I don't get to find out if I'm doing pink or blue 'til December 26th. Oh, well. It could be a good thing, because the later it is, the clearer picture they'll get! I've been getting a lot of headaches. I refuse to take anything for them, though, because I'm way too paranoid that I'm going to lose the baby. I read that headaches can be linked to boy pregnancies, so I'll keep my fingers crossed and think blue thoughts. ;-)

Week 20, wahoo! half-way mark feels like such an accomplishment. It has flown by and it won `t be long now until my little girl is here in my arms instead of my belly. Yes, I did say GIRL. We had our ultrasound yesterday morning and she `s definitely a girl! YAY! I went out last night and bought a bunch of pink stuff to hang up in my room. Looking up at baby stuff is a very happy way to wake up every morning.

Thank you for your comment on 'Welcome Baby' It's actually a good idea because I don't want all the baby shower games!

bigbellyjess - Monday, 3 Mar
honestly your mom is probably going to throw you a surprise shower so don't worry. we aren't supposed to know about the shower. it is supposed to be a surprise. I told my sis to throw mine because I wanted to plan everything with her secretly so no one would think I am selfish. lol.

rosangela - Sunday, 2 Mar
Hey! I saw your post about the baby shower. Maybe your mom does, in fact, have everything ready but she just isn't going to tell you just so you'll be surprirsed! Just an idea!

sweets - Friday, 29 Feb
I was reading your baby shower thing, why don't you just take over the invitations and she take over the rest? Just take intiative to do it and theres not much she can say:)

LindseyMT - Wednesday, 27 Feb
And WHY didn't I think of that? DUH! LOL I really am losing my mind! Thanks!!!

Valeriescheller - Thursday, 21 Feb
Well, Maybe I'm alergic to somethin else in it? It's impossible to use... I'm going to try other things... to see how it works.. maybe even get something through my midwife! Thanksfor your help though!!

Valeriescheller - Thursday, 21 Feb

bellakimmie - Wednesday, 20 Feb
LOL that message just made me laugh. I doubt that there are any stairs in your uterus, but your baby is probably just taking advandage of the fact that she can still do flips, because that'll change very soon. You sound so cute, thanks for the laugh! :)

Hi Jacquelyn,

I would not worry about your weight too much, but that is just me. I would try to eat the most nutritious foods possible. As long as you are not sitting around eating crap all day, I would not worry about gaining more than the recommended weight. Every woman I know is different, and many of my friends gained as much as 75 lbs when prego---much of it water weight. We don't all fit into a neat little box when it comes to these things. So take it easy, enjoy your pregnancy and worry about your weight AFTER the baby arrives home healthy. Good luck!

Saw your comment on the showers forum....what about suggesting to your hostess that you'd really appreciate gift cards! Tell her/them that's what you really need! It could be great!

I seen your comment in the plus size page and I am a plus size preggo also but when I clicke on your page I seen that your baby EDD is on my Birthday, so good luck with your new bundle of joy.

I had the same problem with naming ours. I stopped telling people the names we were thinking of because I didn't want to hear anyone's input. This has actually been helpful and made me think about the names and realize which ones we really like! People won't say a bad thing about the name you chose once the baby is born...so my advice is don't tell anyone until then

lovealways - Monday, 21 Jan
What you said was funny, we are pregnant way to long. I feel like an elephant!!!

Hey, I was reading your post on exersize, and just so you know, your doc is right. Staying active is so important during pregnancy. It's good for you and your baby. If you don't have any serious complications you should definetely go to the gym, if not I would think the baby weight would be a pain to get off. I suffer from hypothyroidism and I still go to the gym everyday and spin class 3 times a week. Just don't push yourself, do everything in moderation, on days I'm feeling tired I just walk on the treadmill and read a magazine. You will start to feel soooo much better about yourself if you get some exersize! Just always listen to your body, but working out should be perfectly fine

levismom - Thursday, 17 Jan

I just met with my dr today and asked the very question about sex. She said specifically that if I was cramping or experiencing bleeding not to have sex. One of the reasons was premature labor. There were others, but that one reason was enough to get me saying no :). You might want to get in touch with your dr!!!

wmpgurl8604 - Tuesday, 15 Jan
Congratz on your pregnancy.

elizabethm - Thursday, 10 Jan
so your cysts are not a problem for the baby? I have one on my R ovary & i get some pain there occassionally, but nothing too bad.. is that normal?

lovealways - Saturday, 5 Jan
The weight gain is messing with my head because in my first pregnancy I gained 86 pounds, my second I gained 56 and I had a really hard time losing it. It also gave me a few health issues. I finally lost allot a weight after years trying. I was 137 pounds when I got pregnant this time and I will have really bad depression if I get back to 218 like the last babies. What is killing me is that I am trying so hard and I still see myself gaining to quickly. Thanks for your responce and wish me good luck! :)
