19wks 4d

November 3 - 19wks 4d -- I can't believe how time flies!! Anyway, I went to the GYNAE today, but the doc said she can't really tell yet whether its a boy or girl, because, of course, baby wasn't cooperating, but she thinks IT'S A BOY!! I will ask her again at my next appt (next month) if she can tell me. My belly button is starting to pop already! Till next time...

!November 6 - 20wks -- I can't believe that I have finally reached halfway! The funny thing is the doc said she thinks it's a boy, and we still don't have a boys name. For me, picking a boys name is harder than picking a girls name. I started feeling movements mid October, and the other day, Mark (my husband) felt the baby kick. He was very excited. I will let you know what name we picked when we decide to choose one!

November 25 - 22wks 5d -- I am sooooo excited coz I feel baby kicking, especially if I have something sweet! Also if I am busy in the middle of something, I will all of a sudden get this thud coz I'm not giving baby attention. It is soooo cool. Yesterday was also our 1 year wedding anniversary!!

December 4 - 24wks -- I have been feeling baby kick a lot, especially when it comes to bed time, when I am relaxed. It is a nice feeling actually, as if baby is massaging me from the inside! Funny thing is, I can only feel the kicks when either lying down or sitting, not when I'm standing! I am soooooo excited coz in 12 more sleeps I go home to South Africa (I'm taking hubby there-he is from Philippines) for christmas and new year. This is will be my first christmas at home in 6 years! Then, when I return, I will work for 2 months, then I'll be on my 3 month long maternity leave starting from mid-end March until mid-end June. I'm so excited now coz this last trimester will fly by. I am going back to the doc on Dec 8, so I will ask the GYNAE again if she could tell me for sure what I'm having. For now, I'm thinking it's a boy...

November 16 - 30wks 1d -- Firstly, update! I did go to the doc on Dec 8, but she couldn't tell me the sex of the baby cos the umbilical cord was between the legs. She told me to go for a walk in the corridors and have something to eat. Upon my return, there was another doc waiting to see me. He also couldn't tell me the sex, cos the umbilical cord was still between the legs. But, they both told me they think it could be a girl!! Now, when I went home I saw my moms GYNAE and he couldn't tell me either! I will be going back to my doc on Saturday, so I will ask her once again to check. If she is unable to tell me, then I will just leave it as a surprise as it is still about another 2 months till I give birth. My mom organised a baby shower for me and I got the cutest little clothes and things for my baby. I didn't get anything big as I had to bring it back with me. I will start buying all the other necessities now like the camp cot and bath and bedding and things. By the way, my holiday was great!!!

January 21 - 30wks 6d -- I found out this morning what I'm having IT'S A BOY!! His name will be Jericho (Thaine). Can you believe that I've been dying to know the sex for about 10 weeks! I can't believe that little Jericho actually had his little legs wide open for mommy for a change. Normally his legs were closed. I'm glad I know coz now I can buy things for a boy!

February 19 - 35wks -- I can't believe I have just 5 weeks left till I meet Jericho! I'm excited now, but I still don't know how I will feel when the labour part of this whole pregnancy comes round. I think I'll do fine. I'm not really a whimp when it comes to pain, so I think I'll be able to manage the labour pains. I'm just gonna try and lay still coz I know if I move, it will be even worse. I'm starting to get lower back pains and pelvic pains. I don't know if Jericho has dropped yet or not. I saw my GYNAE on Saturday, and she gave me pain killers and she said if I need to come in, then I should go, otherwise just come in 2 weeks...
