Hello everyone :)

My name is Janis. My boyfriend David and I are expecting our first child on 08-02-08! Im about 10 weeks and 1 day and loving every minute of pregnancy so far! lol Luckily haven't experienced no morning sickness or nausea at all! Just feeling very tired, breast tenderness, & fat!!!! Other than that, im good! Been going on this website for a couple of weeks and finally decided to join yesterday! Good luck to all the mommies & mommies-to-be! :)

I had an appt. yesterday and I finally got to hear a heartbeat! The nurse said my doodle had a strong heartbeat! Between 140-150! :) I took awhile for her to find it because the baby was moving around so much! lol My next appt. is on Feb. 28 and i finally get to find out what im having! Im sooooo excited! I cant wait! Crossing my fingers for a healthy baby boy!

I had a appt. with my doc yesterday. She said im finally starting to look pregnant!!! She said I didnt look pregnant a month ago. Anyway, I have to see her every two weeks now. I have until May 10th to do my GTT test....(dont want to do it, i heard it taste nasty) lol! I have a ultrasound next wednesday at the main hospital. I cant wait to see my little doodle! :) A few more days and i'll be in my 3rd semester! :) Wow.....time is going by soooo fast!!!!

I've had my test and the drink I had wasn't bad. I had to go back and do the 3 hour fast/lab for it because the 1st time my number was too high so I'm waiting on results from that. I don't know how it is where you are but the offices here have 2 different kinds of drink. One that is suppose to be like regular cola and it's nasty! The other is orange flavored. It's actually ok. It tasted like an orange soda. Request that and see if they have it...it's not bad.

My Dr. asked me to "notice" movement after 32 weeks. Just to make sure things we're going good I guess. I did have what I thought was a scare once. My daughter hadn't budged in hours and I called my Dr. She gave me some instructions for the next 3 hours and NOTHING! I was a WRECK! So, off to L&D Triage for hubby and I...only to get there and have her start rolling around. I guess she was napping! haha. This was my first child and now we're at number 3. Don't worry. They change their cycle and can move while you're sleeping so you don't notice it. Congrats!

According to "What to Expect When You're Expecting" you should not start counting fetal movements until after 28 weeks. (And even then it's not just kicks...rolls, tumbles, swirls, any fetal movement!)

I'm good thanks! Getting used to this new layout!
The baby is kicking well now. It was my birthday last week and I finally started feeling it. Feel it ever day now after food! It loves milk! Can see a whole lot from the outside but i have seen it move a little. I feel bad my husband cant feel it all the time but he has felt it, which is cool.
Where abouts in Cali are you??? We are trying to get back there! We lived in Santa Barbara for a year and I loved every minute but my husband needed to re apply for his visa, so we are now waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you! I feel huge although I think I was bigger with both boys. And I have learned how to manipulate how my body looks with clothes!!! It just seems lately all I want to do is eat! If I try to eat healthy it just makes her angry and I end up getting a cheeseburger w/ xtra pickles and french fries from mcdonalds. She also has a big thing for ice cream!!! At this rate I should triple my wait by July!!! LOL

Hey there, I would say your cramps were indigestion more than braxton hicks since they were so high up, I get it too if I eat spicier things after 3pm or so. Braxton hicks are kinda uncomfortable and your belly may get a hard spot or look misshapen for a minute or two (which I wish I had known my first preg. because I had no idea!!!) LOL

No, haven't found out yet, i've got to wait until next week Friday when I have my 20 week scan (although by then i'll be 23 weeks). I'm on a countdown....6 more days to go!! I'm hoping that its a little girl! But if its a boy I wouldn't be upset though....we'll see!

Just saw your message on the chat board about the baby kicking. The same thing has happened to me, i'm in week 21 going into week 22 and the baby has been kicking me everyday, serverl times a day since week 18. But since 2 days ago I haven't really felt anything! maybe 2 kicks a day! I'm gonna give it a few more hours, then i'm calling my doctor!

I know, this is my first child too, so when I felt kicking and then nothing I was worried, but I gave him time, I figured he wont kick everyday until he is older. Heck the other day he kicked me so hard I thought he was in trouble! But a few minutes later he kicked lightly again. They are just preparing us to run over to their crib when they are first born to see why they are crying, and then they just smile at us :) haha its like they know we need the work out after they are born

I don't feel the baby move all the time either. I fell it most when I am sitting or lying down for a while. My doctor said this is totally normal. After all the little miracle is not even a pound yet. :) Your background is really cute!

It is normal to not feel the baby at ALL times, but if it continues to worry you, feel free to call your doctor, thats what they are there for :)
