Thursday, 3 April Sounds like what i had then. They did the first gel monday night, two more on tuesday and broke my waters on wednesday morning - there was another woman who came in same time on monday night for induction and we had the same treatment - she gave birth a few hours after i did so i guess that's the norm after prostin gels.
I wont tell you what it's like =P x x daisymum2be -
Wednesday, 2 April Lol sorry - i managed to send that many times and it's not letting me delete them! daisymum2be -
Wednesday, 2 April How exciting! Just makes it a bit more real when they give you a date, doesnt it? What kind of induction is it, do u know? And will they give u a membrane sweep before that?
Have they given you any reason as to why she's got a low birth weight? Or did she just feel like it? lol
6lbs? lucky - mine was 8lbs 6; he came out in just a few pushes but i did tear a lot - a friend of mine had a 6lbs baby on the 5th march and she didnt tear at all! Lucky thing! x x aderyn3 -
Wednesday, 2 April Hi there! The symphysis pubis dysfunction can be very painful, but it does go away after birth! I've had it with all 4 of my pregnancies. They're right, all you can really do is take it easy on the walking and try to rest as much as you can! Also, don't kick things or try to move or close things with your feet. Sit down to put on pants, socks, etc., don't try to balance on 1 leg to do it, stuff like that. Good luck! daisymum2be -
Wednesday, 2 April Aw gutted! At least she's nice and healthy - u want her a bit more cooked yet really. So you're being induced on ur actual due date then? Or will they let you go over?
Fancy meeting up when ur up and about with ur baby? All my baby friends have babies 3 months and up (or still have a while left of pregnancy), would b nice to have someone with a baby roughly the same age as mine! x x daisymum2be -

Sunday, 30 Mar It can be sore, yeah, but having just experienced childbirth, it's really nothing unbearable! Wud recommend buying some lansinoh if you havent done so already - really helps keep your nipple intact!
I wont lie - it's sore down there straight after giving birth. Walking like a normal person in the first few days is next to impossible but most ppl have it easier than i did - they got it wrong with me and ddnt notice how badly i'd torn so had to go back again for 'perineal reconstruction'. Which you're very unlikely to have, so you'll probably not be sore after about the 5th day - that's about normal.
Well my belly was ALL baby, and by the looks of it yours is too so you'll prob have no troubles getting back to normal - esp if you breastfeed. I'm back in my pre-pregnancy (size 12) jeans! Yay me!
So you've really not got much of pregnancy left - either way! You getting nervous yet? Any thoughts to birth plan?
Incidentally - who's your midwife? x x daisymum2be -
Saturday, 29 Mar I wouldnt recommend induction if you can help it - it's unpleasant and bloody hurts! But i'm sure everything'll be ok, it's different for everyone i guess. At least u'll meet ur bub sooner, eh.
I'm not getting on badly thanks. i've been too sore to enjoy motherhood to the full lately but now i'm on the road to recovery and everything's looking up! Did i tell you he's actually put on weight? He gained an ounce and a half in the first week so breastfeeding's still going superbly. You planning on breastfeeding?
What time do you have to be there on Tuesday? x x daisymum2be -
Thursday, 27 Mar Wow... 37wks? Full-term!
How are things? Baby making any signs yet?
What news from latest scan? x x kluv2! -
Monday, 24 Mar Thanks for the msg, it does help. Good Luck on your pregnancy. daisymum2be -
Sunday, 23 Mar Is 'Gary' going to be your birth partner?
I wasnt nervous either til Jonny left me overnight in the hospital 4 induction (which is HORRIBLE). It's all well worth it in the end tho.
When's your next scan? I was thinking how small your bump is - that because she's small or you havent got a lot of fluid? I can't of had much fluid cos everyone thought i'd have a 6.5 pounder my bump was so small. We sure showed them!
With the risk of sounding sappy, being a mum is the most wonderful thing in the world - quite surprising how happy it's made me - i thought i'd get the baby blues! It's still strange tho; keep lookin at him thinking '... wow...' and waking up at night startled to find a tiny person in my arms! lol
Hope everything's ok with you? Could be any day now - has she dropped yet?
GOD i talk a lot... x x daisymum2be -
Saturday, 22 Mar Sure it'll be fine? If not - you get to meet her early!
Giving birth isn't all that bad - gas&air is great and i had an injection of morphine cos all i wanted 2 do was sleep and they told me it would make me sleepy. Slept between contractions - which really helped, woke up for a minute or so to cope with contractions (breathing DEF helps) and then felt an overpowering need to poo... midwife told me i could push whenever i felt like it... four contractions later, he was out. WHOOM - pain gone! It's a shock being handed your new baby but 2 mins after he was born, i was sat up munching on an apple, perfectly calm, suddenly out of my trance and chatting away on the phone to my brother...!
The actual pushing was easier than i expected; more painful but then my body just completely took over. I was in a trance, just focusing on getting baby out.
It hurts afterwards tho... no one told me it'd hurt afterwards, so thought i'd let you know! Lol. Well worth it tho.
Are you nervous? x x daisymum2be -
Saturday, 22 Mar hiya! thanks - i'm full with love, he's lovely. How did scan go? x x daisymum2be -
Sunday, 16 Mar It's only next month! And you'd better get ready - full-term at 37wks, cud come any day! Got hospital bag packed?
Well i'm in 2 dr grays @ 6:30pm and they'll put something gross up me... (lol)... and then i'll have 2 stay overnight, another pessary in the morning 2 try and get my contractions/dilation started. If i'm already a bit dilated on monday they'll just break my waters there and then, but most likely he'll come on tuesday. I feel kinda sad that this is quite possibly my last full day of pregnancy, i reckon i'll miss it... but hey i get my baby soon!
Why so fed up? Getting heavy? xx missjess -
Sunday, 16 Mar i guess they do the internal exam at different times, but if you havent had your group B strep test you should ask. Guess what happened to me? When i went into the appoint. i was like when am i goin to have an internal exam? And the nurse was like, well you wont get one again til your like 38 weeks since you already had one when you got your group B strep test on the 28th. I was like, i never got that test (i hadnt mentioned anything about not having it yet previously cuz i wasnt looking forward to it and i heard they wait til week 37 to do it sometimes) and she was like, yes you did. Im like dude, i think i would remember if i had my ass swabbed!!! The nurse was confused, im like, isnt that kind of a big mistake to make?! So thats the only reason why i got an internal that day. But make sure you remind your doc to do that test on you, its important. yeah, when you drop it means the baby is getting into position and readying for birth. They say you will probly go into labor 2-4 weeks after dropping. But i guess some woman dont drop til delivery and alot cant tell if theyve dropped. For me, the only sign thats gonna convince me the baby is almost here is when i start losing my mucous plug! daisymum2be -
Saturday, 15 Mar Not 100% sure but the midwife at Dr Grays pointed the thingie in between his legs and there was definate a little pokey thing there. A friend of mine got the same and when she got it wrong, the m/w said 'Well... look again.' whereas with me when i said it was boy she just smiled and said 'That's enough then.' So about 85% sure it's a boy!
Do you reckon you'll go early/late? x daisymum2be -
Saturday, 15 Mar Nah, my uterus likes him too much 2 let him go! lol
Did you get a sexing scan or 3/4D?
How're things with you? Have you had your scan yet to check if baby's small? x
