Still nothing going on here...a few contractions here and there, but that's about it. Last Thursday doc said still not dialated or effaced...bummer! Hopefully things will be different this week! Come on baby Lucas....it's time to come out!

Earlier in the week (Monday) we had an ultrasound to see how big baby Lucas is getting. He measured about 6lbs 9 oz (give or take a lb). Not too big, but then again this was beginning of week 37 so he still had growing to do by the end of the week. So now we figure he will be close to 7 lbs (we are also leaning more towards the "give a pound" according to his 3D u/s pix at 30 weeks). Which all means he will be close to 8 1/2 - 9 1/2 lbs if he goes full term, so we are hoping he's at least a week early! Doc didn't mention anything about inducing yesterday, and said my cervix is still firm and thick so we're looking at prob another 2 weeks or so. Not sure whether we're sad or relieved...lol! This is all getting more real to us as each day goes by. And if I don't quit watching A Baby Story and Bringing Home Baby we are all gonna be in trouble! Ha!

So I had my 36 week appointment yesterday and all is well! I am measuring 38 cm, so a lil big, but doc said nothing to be too concenred about. He could feel his head but said he's prob more like at -4 or -5 than -3 or -2. We scheduled an ultrasound for first thing Monday morning so they can do measurments and get a better idea on how large this child is going to be and how much damage he's gonna do to me. Ha! We can't wait! I'm sure I'll have a few 10 lb baby dreams over the weekend! Lol!

8/22/08

The past month has been pretty good. Both doctor's visits went well, belly is measuring right on track! I have gained 31 pounds so far, but the dr.'s don't seem to be worried, so I guess I won't either. We did get the 3D/4D ultrasound on August 9th and it was amazing (as you can see by the great pictures that we got)! About 8 more weeks til we meet our lil man and we can't wait!

So I guess I didn't post anything last month...what a bad mommy I am...nothing exciting happened tho. Now this appointment was much more exciting! I had my glucose test this morning and I think everything went fine...I'll prob find out the results tomorrow. I also got a quick ultrasound so we could see how the baby was laying...he's already head first! Woohoo! What a good little boy! And he's big! I mean, my belly measured right at 28 weeks, but he looks so much bigger than the last time I saw him! Oh! I can't wait to meet him! Trying to talk the hubby into the 3D/4D pix and dvd now too...i can't wait to see him!

Today was my third appointment! Got to hear the heartbeat once again...yay!!! Also scheduled my next appointment AND the Ultrasound!! So excited!! May 23rd is the big day! Can't wait!!!

Ok, so I'm oficially obsessed with the gender of my baby! Ha! I just went to fortunebaby.com and paid $17.95 for them to work their formula (it's refundable if they're wrong, so what do I have to lose, right?)......and IT'S A BOY!!!

I am only about 5 1/2 weeks along at this point so our baby really only looks like a blinking dot at the is point, but it's our blinking dot and we are still very excited! I think we both had tears in ours eyes when we saw it (him/her). Still no morning sickness...let's just hope it stays this way.

Hey there! I'm so glad things are starting to work out with your job. I know what you mean about being pregnant forever! I want this to happen....but part of me doesn't. I am so scared of labor! At my 38 week appointment they said I was 50% effaced and only a fingertip open. Ha, I'm not even 1 cm, I'm half of that!

I have been bored at home though. Maybe something will happen to one of us soon!!

we've been pregnant so long that i don't even remember what its like not to be pregnant anymore lol...my b/f said that after the baby is born that im gonna have to flick his butt occasionally cuz the baby always kicks him in the butt lol and he said that i have to sleep with pillows on my tummy too lol...i told him we have to rearrange the bedroom so the bassinet is on my side of the bed or he has to trade me sides lol...*~LABOR DUST~*

I actually stayed up till 2am! Funny yesterday I was tired and depressed all day, then Mike gets home and I get all happy and ended up talking politics with him for like 2 hours in the middle of the night.
Mikes REALLY into history and politics. I don't know how he remembers all the history stuff!

Poor Mike can't sleep in bed anymore. I snore now, and there's just nothing I can do about it right now....except give birth!! lol.

I'm going to have to make some HH tomorrow. You made my mouth water thinking about it. Mike and I have always laughed that even if we were millionaires, we'd still have to eat HH once and awhile.

Definitely can't be shy of public bathrooms to be pregnant!

lmao...i know what u mean...it feels like the baby keeps headbutting me down there and i would think that the dr was gonna tell me i was dilated to at least a one but for the past 2 almost 3 weeks ive been closed tight...then i can only get about 2-3 hrs of sleep a night cuz im in so much pain and so uncomfortable and b/f doesn't help either cuz he thinks he has to cuddle up right next to me practically on top of me so i have no room to stretch out....i just cant wait to sleep on my tummy again....i am soooooo ready for that lol....hopefully were dilated at our next appts tho....labor dust and good luck

I cheated with the ribs...I put them in the crock pot!

Kind of feel like the weekly doctors appointments are a hassle now. Whether or not we're dilating doesn't seem to really matter. Can't wait till I have Logan so I can stop sitting in that doctors office for hours!! lol.

That's funny how you changed from purses to diaper bags! lol

Don't think I have it in my to shop anymore. And its a pain in the butt when I constantly have to use the bathroom. Like this past Monday I suddenly had to pee NOW while at Target. Pain to waddle fast to the bathroom on the other side of the store with a half full cart. hehe.

I haven't done any work today. I've just layed around feeling miserable. Guess I should try to make some money tonight.

I asked Mike if I could ask them for cash to pay back all the charging I did for Logan's stuff! lol.
We kind of had a treat tonight too...ribs! Sooo good. But now the ribs have made Mike pass out on the couch instead of staining the changing table.

We have like 650-700 newborn-size 1 diapers and a little over a hundred size 2s. So we are good for while. Half were gifts, and then the other half I picked up when I saw sales and had coupons.
Good job on the bargain shopping! lol

Have to bargain shop these days. Everytime I go shopping, I see something else got more expensive.

We got the carseat installed today. Turned out to be easy. We were surprised!

I just got an email from MIke's Dad and step mom asking me to update my registry. What? It is up to date....with like nothing left on it! Its Oct 1st for petes sake! Did they think I'd wait till AFTER the baby was born to get everything the baby needed?! Argh!

Changing table is getting a bit more stain today, and should be done. The color Mike wanted is really pretty...a red wood. I do love the color alot, but its funny cause its not even remotely close to matching the crib and dresser!
Oh, well, there isn't one room in my house where all the wood matches....so why start now? lol

the housewives thing....she fell down the stairs, lost her baby she was pregnant with and was told she could never get pregnant again. Then it went on to them trying to a surrogate and adoption...and none of that worked out.

I haven't watched ER in years now...I can't believe its still on!!

So I had that one decent visit with my mom, but she's drove me nuts ever since. Tonight she called and asked what I was doing, and I laughed that I just finished pigging out (understatement...I ate enough for 5 people! lol), and she says "you shouldn't be doing that, you're already fat". And then went on and on about how tiny my step sister, Angie, is. Angie has gained the same amount of pregnancy weight as I have, yet she isn't due till Nov 30. Difference is that I started off at 170 and Angie at 120. Think I'm still in shock that my mother just came out and said I was FAT!!!
Why oh why do people think that just cause I'm pregnant they can discuss my weight and vagina??!!!

On a happy note, Mike and I got the first coat of stain on the changing table!

Our wedding video is a professional one, but our reception one was done by my mom and you could get motion sickness watching it. lol

Here's another thing my sister said that helped ease my fears about a big baby.... Her 8 lber ripped her all up, but her 10 lber didn't do anything to her. So I'm thinking its not the size of the baby, but how rotten they are coming out.

I'm sure hoping breastfeeding is good exercise too!

We've were sinners for years and pretty much from the get go.

Met in Sept. '98 and became good friends, kissed on thanksgiving and then Mike was paranoid about our some what long distance relationship (He was in cleveland, me in Sandusky), so somewhere between christmas and my bday (jan 8) he quit his good UPS job and packed up his car and came to live with me! Were engaged Aug. '99, and stayed that way for the next 5 years. Had ALOT of growing up to do before we got married!

We played Skip-Bo last night. Were going to play yahtzee too, but SkipBo took 3 hours!!

Finally about time for me to head out to the doctors! ttyl

Actually, it was really funny, cause for a year we bitched about that cake top taking up freezer room, and then we forgot all about it on our anniversary! We realized it 4 days after our anniversary.

I have a 'date' in about an hour too! Going to play a game together (taping Housewives). I gave Mike a list of things to do this weekend, and one of things on the list was to pay attention to me! lol.

I'm at 30 lbs...so happy about that. Sad, I hit the 200 mark though.

So now I need to lose 50 lbs. I'd like to lose 70 lb, but 50 is way more realistic!
I think the only thing I will miss about pregnancy is being able to eat this much! If I were to eat like this not pregnant, I would be seeing the 300 lb mark! lol

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Having Lucas today would be a nice present, but yep, that would really suck every year after. Can't really send the birthday boy to the sitters so you two can go romancing. lol

I froze an old hand towel last night for my feet, but didn't end up needing it. Laying on the couch for an hour and half helped. I've always had hot feet, so it really wasn't surprising to me that I became a sweller in pregnancy! I stick my feet out of the covers in the dead of winter.
And know what ya mean about the movements. Logan just can't please me. If he's not moving, I'm asking him to move so I know he's okay, but when he starts moving, I'm groaning and asking him to stop. lol.
Last night, me and Mike both guessed Logan would be 8 lbs. Can't wait to find out how close we are!

I get irritated very easily these days, and I swear if one more election person rings my doorbell, they will lose their head!

Going to make a huge sign to put on the door that says "I'll vote! Leave me the hell alone!" If they are ringing the bell next month causing my dog to go crazy and waking Logan (and me!) up, they will really lose their head. lol

Know what ya mean about the kleenex. And now I'm getting little pimples around my nose from all the blowing! Although, I'm not nearly as bad as I was a week ago.

This waiting game is so frustrating. My gut feeling says it'll be awhile still, but still have to be all ready just in case. Like getting all dressed up for a date, then sitting on the couch waiting for my date for 3 weeks.

I have the hardest time getting my work done the past few months. Its too hard to accomplish stuff at home when we have baby's on the brain! lol

Not feeling so good tonight. Can't wait to start feeling good again. I know the first month or so with Logan here, I'll probably feel terrible still from labor recovery and lack of sleep, but I would think things will get much better after that!

Watching the debates now..talking about economics..had me thinking... If I would have waited a little while longer to try to get a house, we probably wouldn't have gotten a house (so-so credit), and then there would be no Logan on the way! I just got so fed up with my neighbors one day (we lived in a duplex), I got on the internet and applied for a home loan, without even telling Mike!! lol.
I broke a mirror today...hope that is not a sign my good fortune has run out!

Hello sorry i aint on here very much just checkin in seein how u and ur little one is coming along it getting close i a very excited and nervous all at the same time....my pregnacy hasnt gone off with some problems..i have been to the hospital 3 times already just this past wensday due to severe pain in my lower parts and pressure i assume it is cuz he is soooo big now i will be 37 weeks on this monday and last monday when they did the fertal wieght he weighed in at 8.8 pounds already LOL...but the doc says he looks good and happy in there so i guess we will see what happens he told me wensday we would like to get us to 39 weeks but he dont see that happening i think cuz he is gettin so big and i am in constent pain all the time now....he has also mentioned a c section i am down for what ever right now just give us a happy healthy baby and mommy...
