I am a 22 year old Army Wife. My husband is currently deployed to Iraq for a 15 month tour. We're in month 9 of this deployment and we have 6 more to go. I miss him sooooo much it's unfathemable. He's the love of my life and I couldn't be more happy to have him as my husband and the father of my child. He's the best daddy and husband in the world. We welcomed our beautiful son on July 1, 2008 at 10:46pm. Daddy made it home in time for the birth which I'm soooo thankful for. Only 4 days before I gave birth he made it home. We were amazed on how great it all turned out. I had an uncanny fear that he wouldn't make it home for the birth. I had a whole plan in my head it was to have daddy home to see me pregnant and just have some last minute time together as just husband and wife, then go into labor, have the baby and spend the rest of his leave as mommy and daddy. It worked out pretty much just like that!! I'm so thankful I can't stop saying that. Jayden Bailey is the greatest joy of our lives. Daddy had to depart back to Iraq for the next 6 months, unfortunately. We miss him more than anything and I couldn't be more sad that he isn't going to be here for a good part of Jayden's growing up for the first year. Yet, that's the Army way and we love this life. It's a hard one but it's the one we chose. It's made our marriage stronger and our family so much more amazing! Well thanks for stopping by, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

um, i try humor. although it turns into wikid humor, its still trying If i find myself snapping at someone (hubby or not) i say "just leave me alone okay, its part of my personality disorder ive acquired in the past five minutes." or I the most famous of all "i think its time for a bear hug" the husband and I have a rule that once one of us turns into a monster, we have to request a kind bear hug, and it doesnt get turned down no matter what!!! and I mean no matter what!!!

try this point too...

Treating the Shoulder Well points gets the baby to descend into the pelvis (e.g.
to engage better) and put the necessary pressure on the cervix. This is an
essential factor in getting labor started, especially if you are having your first
baby. The descending effect of the Shoulder Well points is also very helpful
during the first and second stages of the labor. In addition to the descending
effect, the Shoulder Well points stimulate womb contractions.

Location:
The Shoulder Well points are on the thick roll of muscle on top of both shoulders.
You will find the point midway between the outer tip of your shoulder and the base of your neck. The Shoulder Well points are tender in most people, therefore start with medium pressure and add more pressure later if necessary.
You can use your fingers, thumbs,
or knuckles to treat these points.
Locate the points on both
shoulders and apply firm downward
pressure on the mother’s Shoulder
Well acupoints while she is sitting
with relaxed shoulders.
Press firmly for a few seconds.
Release the pressure slowly and
then press again. Repeat eight to
twelve times. Remind the mother to breathe deeply and keep her shoulder
muscles relaxed all the time you are treating the Shoulder Well points.

thisonesaboy - Saturday, 28 June

To treat the Shoulder Well acupoints, sit down
and relax your shoulder muscles. Support your
index finger by crossing the middle finger on top
of it. Locate the point and press firmly for a few
seconds. Release the pressure slowly and then
press again. Repeat eight times on both
shoulders. Remember to breathe deeply all the
time you are treating the Shoulder Well points. Another technique for treating the Shoulder Well points is to grasp your left shoulder muscle with
your right thumb, index and middle finger.

Squeeze the Shoulder Well point gently while you
exhale, and release slowly while inhaling. Repeat
eight times on the Shoulder Well points on each
side

I have been doing the accupressure every 2 hours for over a week. Mainly to help my cervix soften. I suspect it will work once I am past my due date..which is june 30th or july 2nd...Good Luck to you

Hey, Hon. I was a military wife for 10 years and it is hard. Just wanted to encourage you and thank you for the sacrifice tho. And please tell your hubby how much we appreciate what he's doing for us. I'm praying that he makes it home in time for your special delivery. Big hugs

hi :) congratulations on the pregnancy and good luck with your little one in the future too... i just have a question because over here in Brissie Australia the midwifes and all that dont really tell me whats going on... would you be able to tell me what a sweep is? or what these internal examination type things include? im due 6 days from now and am really in the dark.... if you could let me know i would be so greatful ... xx bless you :)

bugsy20 - Wednesday, 25 June
That is funny, I was getting annoyed with my baby for balling up too, but now that i know it is a contraction I wish it would do it more. My baby seems to like my right side which is really painful cause I had surgery on that side not too long before I got pregnant. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and hope we both get to meet our babies soon.

LAURASUE - Tuesday, 24 June

spifftiff88 - Tuesday, 24 June
I had a sweep one week ago and I lost my MP the next morning but other than that I am still pregnant! She had my hopes up making me believe I'd probably be going into labor in 48 hrs, and I even walk all the time. But nothing seems to work..but that is just me some girls say that it really works for them. Good luck, I just found out I'm getting induced Wed morning!

HppyMomToBeRS - Tuesday, 24 June
I glad I am not the only one but I just thought from all the stuff I have read that your appetite was suppose to go away before labor. I dont know but I just cant get full and I have gained enough weight during this pregnancy and I am only 5 ft tall. Funny I used to get so full so quick and now I am a endless pit and my baby has not even dropped yet. Will have good evening

kirbys1st - Tuesday, 24 June
Had a membrane sweep 1 1/2 weeks ago and I am still prego but I have heard tons of people that go into labor very shortly after! About the car seat thing my car seat I think is scary. We hooked it up right according to directions and it is floppy in the front? Weird. I am going to have someone check it out but tell me what you think!
