awww thats right! its 1:09pm here and im scheduled at 12:30pm so by now i should definitly be holding her!! i go in at 10 for the all the pre-op stuff. thats gonna be a long 2.5 hours! im in the middle of cleaning my whole entire house right now and ive never spent this long scrubbing little things like sinks before. i need to calm it down though cause im making myself dizzy!!

i get induced on saturday! i am so nervous about it!! I just want it to be quick! My first labour with my son was awful! 30 hours from when my waters broke and i had been having contractions before that! I just want to sneeze the baby out and give it a great big hug!!! x

Yeah if your 70% effaced you only have 30% to go and then just need to dilate so all is good!! Hopefully wont be long for you!!x

they told me to go up because of my leaking, and my contractions went insane! they sent me home to wait it out and they said theyll expect me back tomorrow. YEAH RIGHT! i still think im going to be induced

It will be worth it in the long run! You should buy some earplugs... Seriously, did you buy a noise machine for the baby? Michael has the DEX brand Sound Sleeper, and we keep it set to ocean. He loves it, and when I feed him at night I could easily fall asleep to it. I think it was less than $20

I think you will be good to go with room temp in that case! I can't imagine going outside in he middle of the night! That was our plan before the baby came to, to have a night on and a night off. We decided that it is much better to survive on half a night of good sleep than no good sleep. Also, I am a light sleeper and could not sleep through all of the baby's gruntings! So my wonderful hubs volunteered to sleep in the guest room during the week. Then we just push the bassinet across the hall when he wakes up around 2. We still sleep together on weekends. Ha!

ugh, ive heard stories like that, too. but then again ive also heard good stories being induced. i guess you never know til its your body going through with it. just try everything you can to prep yourself and coax that baby to get moving on down!!

After 6 weeks of pumping, the baby had no interest in BF, so we are all formula now. My hubs takes the first shift from 9pm-2am while I sleep without interruptions. Then I take 2-7 while he sleeps uninterrupted. It works really well. My mom did serve all her formula at room temp. I do that sometimes, but since the kitchen is 2 steps from his room I just microwave the bottles for 20 seconds. I would have 4 bottles ready to go for overnight. Michael usually eats at 8pm, 11, 2, and 5 am. Hopefully as he gets bigger and older he will go for longer periods. You know, I could just pull a bottle out of the fridge after each feeding to be room temp for the next feeding.

Ah! Friday the 13th! That will be a funny story to tell the baby when older. Seriously, take the tylenol PM several times if you can in the next week. I miss sleeping!! LOL... I know it is only temporary!

Her induction started on Monday. On Monday, she got the cervidil gel every 4 hours, and was sent home around 3pm. She was even allowed to leave for lunch I think. No contractions or anything from the gel. Went back in Tuesday at 8:30 am for pitocin. Got her epidural shortly before noon, and the baby was born at 2:37... so she must have been ready to push at 2:30. I know everyone shares their horrow stories frequently (Kinda like me!) but a lot of labors are smooth and easy like hers was. I really hope yours is easy!! If I can give you one piece of advice, I think you should take some tylenol PM if you are having any trouble sleeping and get some good sleep before your induction! 1 more week, it is so exciting!

i guess they said because i was going in in two days to get a c section so they didnt think it was necessary. i said everything i possibly could for them to do it but he didnt! ughh. i think they were also in a hurry too cause the nurse said they were running behind cause a lady just came in at 10 weeks pregnant and found out that the baby had stopped growing so i think that threw things off. so take it out on me? ughhh. thankfully it was my last time there for a while!

thankfully! im getting sick of these sharp pains. im still so bothered about my stupid doctor not checking me! i KNOW im dialating, thats how badly it hurts. its just not contractions with it though.

hey just read your question to dawnmarie - effacement is your cervix shortening! It has to shorten before it opens in first pregnancies - this is the longest part of early labour then it usually goes quicker after that!

aww yay! im excited for you! at least you have an end near. as for the friday the 13th part, you never know. it could end up being a really lucky day for you!! its better than them saying your gonna be 10 days overdue!
