1/9/08 u/s exam 11 weeks - Measured 11 weeks exact. Moved a lot. Heard heart beat for the first time at 154 bpm. All looked good. All measurements were good.

1/16/08 u/s 12 weeks - Obgyn says all looks good. HB look strong. Baby was still though. Dr. said it was sleeping. That is what they do most of the time. I lost 2 lbs. No measurements.

2/6/08 exam & u/s 15 weeks - Dr. visit at 15w. All is good. I gained 3 lbs since 3 weeks ago. I am looking more like a pregnant mommy. I like my little potbelly. It was so nice to see baby move...all that candy I ate before Dr. visit. Tech did u/s. HB strong, open/ close its hands and mouth. Tech said it was too early to tell, esp. since its legs were crossed. She went from bottom side and all around. Can't tell. Good thing I video taped it. When I got home I played it and towards the end, tech said 'wave goodbye to your little man.' HUH? I missed that during the u/s. Tech must have slipped. I played the video over and over and later in the evening DH confirmed that that is what tech said. So now we are thinking boy but not 100% sure. We don't care. As long as the baby is healthy. Healthy is most important.

Oh...I started feeling faint flutters since 14.1 weeks. Very light ones that lasted only a few seconds. Since this is my first baby, I don't have anything to compare it to. Once in a while I feel it when I am very still and not looking for it. SO EXCITING!

2/13/08 (16w) & 2/20/08 (17w) - Dr appts. u/s at 16w showed baby right on target and weighs approx 5oz. 146 bpm but increased to 154 when prodded. All looked good and measured well. It was moving a lot. Think it looks like DH. Legs were crossed once again. Today, 17w visit with Obgyn. Heard heartbeat on doppler at 155 bpm and uterus in good position. I gained 1 lb since 2 weeks ago. Altogether, 4 lbs...then again, even though I am thin, I started off heavier than what I usually am. My belly sort of popped in week 16 and moreso this week. I actually look pregnant now and I like my little potbelly. All is good so far. Three weeks to go for 20w measurements. Hope to be feeling baby. We are so excited!

2/25/08 Good news so far. We also learned that WE ARE EXPECTING A GIRL!!!!!!!!! We are in shock but extremely thrilled at the news. Seeing pink already. Looking forward to seeing our little princess. Our smiles are endless. It feels more real to me now what I know. I am sure the more we see the baby grow, so will connection. I am so grateful to hear this news.

2.29.08 (18.2w) Surprise Dr. visit today since I was feeling cramps...more like sharp pain...in the mid-abdominal area. U/s and Dr. physical show all to be good. Dr. thinks my ligaments are stretching or I pulled it somehow. Witnessed "girl" She did a flip for us. Fun! I've only gained 5 lbs. I do not have cravings. Actually, more aversions. Well, other than sweets.

18 Weeks - Happy to say that since 14 weeks, I thought I felt flutters. Nothing to compare it to so I excuse it. Since week 17, I have been feeling the baby move. It is like light sparkles or sprinkles or fairies in there. Since 18 weeks, I lay my hand on my belly while resting and I can feel some movement and kicks. The kicks are so light yet so apparent. I am trying to communicate by pressing back lightly or playing some music. I think they start to hear us by now. SMILES!

3.12.08 (20w) U/S measurements. All looked good. Baby was moving around. Legs crossed again. We are thankful. Heart beat was 150 bpm. I've been feeling her from time to time. Then a few days go by and feel nothing.

3.17.08 (21w) Since this past weekend, she has been making sure I know she is in there. The movements, flips and flutters go on much more often now. It is kind of strange to have another human being inside but it is so welcoming and comforting to know she is there.

3.26.08 (22w) Dr checkup. Belly measures to date, heartbeat strong and fast (doppler), my vitals very good. Overall gain weight either 9 or 12 lbs. Not sure because lost weight early on. Dr. says all are fine and healthy. Baby has been rolling, flipping, kicking a lot. Her movements have been more consistent since a week ago. It is comforting to know she active. Played music for her and then laid down. She was dancing like mommy. DH is in love with her and looks forward to feeling her movements.
