Hi,
Im Jenny, 25yrs, and live in Queensland, Australia.
This is my first pregnancy and Im lovin it. Im 21 Weeks now and counting down till I meet my georgous lil bundle of joy. I have had no morning sickness which was great, its been a breeze so far so hopefully it continues. Im so excited about becoming a mother. I have been with the father for 7yrs and we were married in April this year, so I was so thankful that it only took 4mths to fall pregnant, but they felt like the longest 4mths ever. Im still working full time and will till the begining of April, then I wil stop and wait for the big day. Im getting a bit nervous about the whole thing but Im excited, I have lots of nieces and nephews that have taken care of, but this one is all mine wow.

Today my husband felt the baby move, I was laying on the lounge and the baby was moving heaps, he felt it 3 times, I was so happy that he got to share in the babys movements. I go for my monthly check up on Wednesday, yey I get to see the baby again.

Im at work at the moment and its really boring, no one is around because of christmas holidays. Im not sure if Im pushing myself to much at work and should start to slow down abit, but I dont like feeling usless, but I dont want it to hurt my baby. I have been thinking of another girls name, it Amarii May, I did like Jayla May, but I kinda want something unique, and I have never met anyone called Amarii before. I see the doctor again on the 9th of January, after I do some sugar test. Im starting to feel that the baby might be a girl, I don't know weather its because everyone else is saying its a boy, and I think its going to surprise everyone.

21st January 2008
Well here I am in week 28, time is going by so slow!!! I dont think it is helping very much that I am counting down the days. I have 9 weeks of work left, so hopefully that goes by quickly. Not much has been happening except for the mega leg cramps at night when Im sleeping and the ocasional sore feet, other then that everything is perfect. I won a new baby car seat off ebay like over a week ago, I deposited the money as soon as I won, I have been sending messages to see if it has been sent yet, but no one has gotten back to me, Im starting to think that I have been ripped off. The seller had heaps of car seats up for grabs, now all of a sudden there is nothing for sale from them, suss. I wonder if the other buyers are having the same problem as me. I thought I would wait one more week and if nothing show's up, report it. Well our baby names are still the same Amarii May for a girl, and Dante for a boy, I want Dante Alfonso or Dante Nicholus (Alfonso Nicholus is my husbands name) but he wants Dante Keneth ( Keneth is his step dads name), but its up to him. We went out for dinner the other night, it was so good to be able to get dressed up and do something, its been a long time since we had done something like that. I see my doctor on Wednesday for my fortnightly check, I have to find out what the heart beat is for my aunty cause she reckons she can tell if its a boy or girl by the speed of there heart. My cousin was due on the 18th of January but nothing has happened for her yet, poor girl, I hope mine comes on time. I'll keep you informed about the car seat situation.

Low iron or anemia is a good thing to get checked you sure don't want to be running low when baby comes...I have been doing the same thing with ice...it was anemia so on iron vitamins...

I just looked at your wedding pictures...wow! How could you not feel attractive! You are a beautiful woman! But I do understand because I'm 35 weeks and I feel like a house. I don't feel attractive either. Funny, I just looked at your due date to see how far along you are, and we are due the same day :o) Small world huh! About the porn thing, I can understand how you feel kinda. But my hubby still wants sex all the time, so it's not like he's avoiding me and then going to look at porn. But he sometimes watches some of his movies (he had them before we got together!) and it doesn't really bother me too much. But sometimes I think 'hmm, I wonder if he's thinking about me and not that girl' when he's doing whatever, ya know. Sorry TMI. But it makes me a little self conscious too. I would talk to your hubby about it. Just let him know that you know that he's watching it, and that it makes you feel a little uncomfortable because of your body being different. Maybe he doesn't know you feel that way. He's a guy after all, and they really don't know about our feelings!!! Maybe once he knows that it bothers you a little, he will be more sensitive. If you are in the mood, maybe you could watch it together some time...good luck!

I had my daughters ears pierced at 6 months. she cried, but as soon as it was done she was fine. she never played with her earings or knew they were there. She got new earings for her 1st birthday, and after I put them in her ears, she noticed they were there and constantly was pulling them out. Unfortunately I had to take them out for good. I think that it is fine to pierce them when she is just born. I think the earlobe tissue is so soft, you can just push the earing through instead of having to use a gun. Just make sure she never sees what you are doing with her ears or she may become interested and wanto to take them out. : )

I think that when you have babies ears pierced proffesionally, they make you wait until she is at least 6 months old. Atleast in the states I think it is that. I am not sure in Australia. I would just call a piercing place to find out for sure.

If it's a girl, wait till she's had her 2 month shots. That's what most dr.'s recommend.

Hi Jen82, I had my daughters ears pierced when she was 6 months and if I were to have another girl I would do it again. We had no probs at all. My sister got her daughters ears done when they were 6 yrs and the other at 2 yrs and they have had nothing but probs. I say the earlier the better. Hope all is well with bub. Take care. :)

Hi, out you post on ear piercing, if i have a girl i too would like to have her ears peirced (cant spell lol) early. I'm thinking about 6 months old maybe. What does your friend think who does the peircings? xx

Hey Jen! I had my daughters ears pierced at 3 months. They ended up getting infected by the time she was one b/c of her exzema.(sp?)We had to take them out. My opinion, a few days/weeks old is too early. You'll know when she's ready. XOXO

I had this same issue of shooting pain in my groin area with my second child, it is where the baby lays and puts pressure on your siatic nerve, it can be very uncomfortable... what I use to do is take a small light and try to get my baby to move the other side, this helped alleviate for a while, also try sleeping on your other side in hopes that the baby will move :) Hope this helps...

hi i read your post and my doctor told me that in my third trimester that i'll have pains that feel like charlie hoarses! I'm only 26 weeks but she gave me a heads up... And also amir was the first name i picked out but my family hated it! But i see i'm not the only one who likes it! Well best wishes!

I would be happy if she came anytime after 37wks but I just have a feeling that I will end up going over my due date. Plus she is on the big side so I will really feel crappy in those last few weeks.

I get massages every 2-3 weeks. My therapist has never mentioned any such thing. I know some are leery to do massage in the 1st trimester, but any good one knows that you can still do one in the 1st trimester without deep tissue massage particularly on the lower back. I can’t see how a relaxation massage in the 3rd trimester would bring on labor. I don’t think you will have any problems with an experienced therapist.

You want to get a pregnancy massage-go to google and search for prenatal massage in your area. They are wonderful-I get one every two weeks.
