I'm Jen, my fiance (getting married May 17th!) is Adam and I am pregnant with our first baby! We are both very excited. I have my first ultrasound on Wed. to confirm "how pregnant i am." They are guessing i'm in my ninth week as of 4/4/08. Luckily, the sickness and moodiness are starting to go away and now i can't stop eating!!! I haven't told many people yet...not until after my first trimester...so it's nice to be able to talk about it on this website! My fiancee is the one who found this website and he has a profile also...AlmightyAdam. lol. he's certainly a riot! Congrats and good luck to all the new moms and soon-to-be moms out there!!!! :)

My husband Adam and I are getting more and more excited about the baby everyday! I am 18weeks 1day...so i am just about halfway there!!! We haven't found out the sex of the baby yet but we can't wait to. The pregnancy is going very well so far and everything is absolutely perfect! I'm looking forward to starting the nursery (and picking out a crib set!) We haven't agreed on one yet! :) We are just so blessed and I hope everyone else is doing well!

I felt Shay kick for the first time yesterday! and now i feel her kick all the time when i'm relaxing on the couch or in bed...how awesome!!!! :) I am painting the nursery today (we did agree on a really cool crib set). I am just so excited!

The nursery is done. Pink and brown! Adam and I put so much work into it. I love it and i can't wait for Shayla to be in it! I have gained 10lbs so far. I feel really good. I just get acid reflux when i eat...it's no big deal, just annoying! Shayla is ahead in growth and doing super well! She weighs 1lb 4oz as of July 1st! I feel her kick CONSTANTLY. And now when she kicks you can see my belly moving! Best time in my life by far!

This past Monday, August 11th, we had an ultrasound at the perinatal center. To our surprise and delight they did the ultrasound in 3D. It was amazing to see this way. She looks like a "real" newborn already. :o) We saw her put her foot in her mouth, yawn and rub her eyes, and we even saw her hair. She weighs about 2 lbs. 12 oz. and is very healthy. But she is still breech...hopefully she will turn the way she is supposed to!

We had an appt. today with my doctor. Shayla is finally head down! I hope she stays that way but geez are my ribs sore! My belly is measuring about 2 weeks small but the baby is perfectly average so the doc is not worried at all. It seems that everything is going so wonderfully...I hope it continues.

We had a 3D u/s at Baby's First Peek today. Adam, my parents, and three of my sisters all went along. At first Shayla was SO stubborn with both hands AND both feet covering her face! Finally, towards the end of the appt. she showed us her face and gave us some good pictures!

My mucus plug came out this morning around 8am right before my classes started so of course I was super excited all day! Two days ago, the doctor told me that Shayla is engaged in the pelvis and I am about 2 cm. dialated. So excited I can hardly stand it! I hope she gets here soon!!!! I guess though it can still be weeks! There's just no way of knowing! Let's hope for only one week...I am getting so anxious and impatient!!

Shayla is the best baby in the world! She is gorgeous and perfect and so much fun and I love her so much! Now if only she could get her days and nights straightened out!

I haven't been on here in a while. Shayla is getting so big and learns more everyday. She is now 7 1/2 weeks old. She weighs 9lb 14oz. Her new thing is that she smiles, laughs, and coos ALL THE TIME! She responds when we talk to her. She looks all around the room and stares at things. She loves lights, tv, and music. I have probably taken about 1,000 pictures of her already and a dozen videos! She is just so precious. She is my world.

Shayla is going to be half a year in ten days which is just unbelievable! She babbles all the time especially when we try to watch a movie. She has the most beautiful voice. She laughs all the time. She tries to drink from our cups...her favorite is daddy's smoothies. She always stares at her Aunt Sarah. She grabs at everything. Shayla always tries to get her head up when she's laying down. She likes to sit up and stand up. She is working on sitting up by herself. She can stay up for a few seconds. She loves her jumperoo and still loves baths. She is sleeping through the night (has been for two months now) for about 10 hours straight. She turns her musical fish tank on and off all through the night. She is about 27 inches long and 15 1/2 lbs. We have a doctor's appt. in about two weeks and will find out exactly. She is in size 2 diapers and 6-9 month clothing. She eats about 5 oz. every 3 - 4 hours or breastfeeds every couple of hours. Her feet are really big and her hair keeps getting longer. She loves Baby Einstein movies and putting her toys in her mouth. She has tried baby food...bananas and peas. She can hold her bottle by herself at times. She loves going for walks but we are waiting for consistently warm weather so we can go out more often. She loves when daddy plays with the xylophone and when mommy reads her books. She loves looking in the mirror and grabbing people's faces. Grandmom and Pop Pop watch her during the day and absolutely love it. She is seriously the best baby ever and makes everyone so happy!

Shayla is almost 9 months! and she has learned so much! She is crawling, and pulling herself up to a standing position. She can walk along the couch, holding on. yesterday she climbed up a step! time to get the baby gates out! she says da da, ma ma, and baby. she points to things in books and gives kisses to babies in books and to stuffed animals when you tell her to. she loves Elmo and her rubber ducks. She drinks best when drinking from a straw. She eats anything we put in front of her...little pieces of veggies, fruit, meat, cheese, bread...she loves it all. she can do "so big!" but she hasn't clapped her hands yet. she loves to play games...peek a boo, 'i'm gonna get you!', and she likes when we help her to climb on things. she gets so excited when daddy gets home from work. she is 29 1/2 inches long (97th percentile!) and 17lb 13oz (30th percentile) this is probably the most fun age so far!!!
