Monday May 5th

I figured since I am on bedrest now in my last week and half of pregnancy (unless I go over) I could at least fill this out instead of sitting here shoving cheese curls in my mouth LOL (keys are now orange on my laptop!)

I am 33 yrs old, I have a son who will be 13 in June, and yes I realize I am starting completely over. No this wasn't an oops baby. :) My son has pointed out so kindly that when he is graduating H.S. this baby will be starting Kindergarten (he has promised never to bring this up again LOL)

At about 20 wks I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, and have been eating super healthy (until about the past week) I do not take any meds, I completely control it through diet. I failed the Glucose test by 1 point so.....I had hypertension before getting pregnant but have had no problems with blood pressure until last week. I also take no meds for this either. They sent me to L&D 3 times last week due to High BP, but sent me home because if i lay on my side it goes down. So now i am on bedrest.

My 1st son was breech so he was born by c-section. Once you have a c-section you can not be induced, otherwise due to my high bp they would've done that already. My only option is c-section and I reallllly want to experience vag birth. This is my last baby (I am getting a tubal after this one comes out) I will find out later this week if I have to schedule a c-section or live on my left side until labor.

Did I mention I am a single mom? Life is interesting!!!!!!!!! :) Everything is possible with God!

Thursday May 8th

Had my check up today, blood pressure is still high when I am up, so they were talking c-section, but said we would make a final decision on Monday. So I walk downstairs to my high risk doc appointment, get my ultrasound (he's so adorable, and at almost 7lbs) and NST and both come out great. The high risk doc however didn't like that we were waiting till Tuesday for a c-section, he said that we are risking damaging my organs which could cause death. sooo I got sent to L&D for the 4th time! They wanted to do a c-section today but then ran a blood test and they all came back great, he still didn't want to wait another week to my due date and I am now scheduled for a c-section on Monday, May 12th, 4 days before his due date, on my Mother's Birthday!

My other son who will be 13 next month, was born via c-section 3 days before his due date on my brother's birthday!!! What is with these kids? I guess my boys like to share! :) I am dissapointed that I won't experience vaginal birth as I am getting a tubal however I am excited to meet my little man. After Monday I will no longer say son, I will say sonS. :)

aubreyd08 - Wednesday, 7 May
well good luck - i have the bp issue also :(

to tell you the truth i am absolutely sick of the whole situation and getting a terrible attitude about it... which makes me feel guilty...

but anyways... keep me updated and i'll do the same and maybe we'll both have may 9 babies!!

aubreyd08 - Wednesday, 7 May
Ha! could be the water!!! I have SOOO much to do today... I'm being induced the day after tomorrow and I STILL HAVEN'T packed my bag!! LOL I have to get groceries, clean the room my aunt (who's here from thursday - tuesday to help out) will be staying in, exchange my car seat because I don't like the one I have, get a non-stress test sometime today... oh - and finish laundry because I won't wanna do it the first week after baby gets here. OMG I feel like such a putz waiting to get this stuff done!!! I think I forgot how much needed done until doc actually said "ok friday's the day"...

aubreyd08 - Wednesday, 7 May
I get them ALL the time... no matter what I do - I even tried a bath but it didn't stop them... I did start to get them a few weeks ago every time I stand up or roll over or anything - I hate to tell you this but that symptom never really stopped... and my lovely doctor says it's normal this late in pregnancy. I think they need to just start putting us to sleep around month 5 and waking us up after birth!!!

MAYBAYBAY - Wednesday, 7 May
yes i thought i had a stomach virus...loose bowels going on 2 weeks now.....sometimes i go 5-6 times a day...but yes its supposed to be your bodies way of cleansing out to prepare for birth oh and so is nausea, or flu-like symptoms, lately i feel sick at night but take nausea meds. and fall asleep but yes things are in preparation!!!!!!! hang in there!!!!!

mybundleofjoy - Tuesday, 6 May
Yes, I had a sonogram last Friday and didn't think to ask him if my baby was face down or not. Either way I will try getting down on all fours and doing this to see if it helps. Anything is worth trying at this point. THANK you for the encouraging words...take care!

elli12 - Monday, 5 May
How frustrating!! With my last I was 1cm for like 3 weeks, and not effaced. He was sure I would be back the next week, but she was born the next day. It can happen so fast! Still contracting here. Hopefully something is going on!!

sharafly - Monday, 5 May
Oh my gosh you poor girl :( What do they expect from us??? Of course our numbers are going to be lower when we're laying down...we're resting and off our feet!!!!! And you missed your ultrasound :( That's crazy. Like us pregnant ladies aren't going through enough :(

bellakimmie - Monday, 5 May
OMG you poor thing. I think I'm gonna go for a walk, as tired as I am, I HAVE to get him out. Grrrrrr

elli12 - Monday, 5 May
Oh I hope you have your baby!! I am NOT waiting that long! Last time, my water broke right before she came. If they start again today, I'm going to the hospital. I am so afraid of giving birth on the highway...that almost happened last time. Good luck and keep me informed! I'll pray that precious baby finally comes for you!! =)

monica9 - Saturday, 3 May
aww! well it's better to be safe than sorry! good luck and keep me posted

monica9 - Saturday, 3 May
Did they tell you what your blood pressure is? I can't believe they haven't even scheduled a c-section yet. Well, I guess enjoy being in bed a pampered for as long as possible!!

monica9 - Friday, 2 May
Sorry to hear that!! Why won't they induce you? you are definitely far enough along. What is your blood pressure at? Good luck and hope this will be your last time in there and you come home with a new member of your family!!

sharafly - Friday, 2 May
You have the same crib mobile? HA how cool!!! I really love the Rainforest collection. I'm going to redo the room just a tad...instead of keeping the Jumperoo in his room since he can't use it for a while, I'm going to put it away for now and replace it with a white rocking chair. I didn't think I would need one, or have room for one. But now that I think about it, it would be much better to rock him back to sleep in his own room, rather than walk him all the way to the living room and chance him waking up. Since he can't use the Jumperoo yet anyway, I guess that's the best idea.

Anyway, my insurance does pay for when I go to L&D. I just think it's crazy to keep charging the insurance company for these visits when they're not necessary :-/

sharafly - Friday, 2 May
Well I really hope that doesn't happen to you! They don't take into consideration that some people at our stage in pregnancy have more to do all day than just sit at home and relax. I'm in the same boat as you. I am at work by 8am each day, and when I get off work my daughter has soccer. By the time I get home, fix dinner, get baths and homework, and do any housework, I'm never able to even SIT DOWN before 10pm. Of course our blood pressure's going to be a little high. We have things to do!!!! The last time I went to L&D it was $650. That's crazy...especially when it's not necessary. Either take the baby or leave us alone!!!!!

Ah now I feel better :)

sharafly - Friday, 2 May
I had the same thing happen as you. I went to L&D two different times for high blood pressure. They do the non-stress test, check my blood pressure every 15 minutes, take blood work, all sorts of things. Then they start talking about a C-section. And then after I lay there for about 2 hours, my blood pressure goes down and they send me home. Well of course it's going to go down!!! I'm not chasing after a 6 year old or working all day...I'm just laying there :-/

Tanya 08 - Friday, 2 May

mamabird - Thursday, 1 May
:( I know how you feel, I wanted to deliver vaginally but I can't deliver butt first. The BP thing is scarry but try to stay calm, it only makes it worse. I woke up all puffy and it is not going away. I do have high blood pressure and have been on meds for it and this morning it was 126/85 not to bad but it is usually lower. It will be ok either way it sounds like we got doctors with their eye on us and they won't let anything to bad happen. Hang in there

monica9 - Thursday, 1 May
wow!! Pretty awesome. I'm still here but hopefully if I keep doing them I will be at hospital soon!! How many weeks was she?

mochas4me - Thursday, 1 May
thanks! it worked. she was born monday and they said she came out face down :-)

mamabird - Thursday, 1 May
That is awesome, real contractions! I just got back from my Dr. and she didn't comment about those pains. She was more interested in my big, breach, boy! He is 7 lbs 4 oz. His head was measuring at 40 weeks. I haven't started to dialate or efface yet :( could that be because he is butt down? I am temporaly scheduled for a c-section on the 15th.

monica9 - Wednesday, 30 April
haha! I think i understand now. you should have seen me trying to do it..... but i was on hands and feet! funny funny site!!

kimberlyA - Wednesday, 30 April
Make sure you are drinking lots of water. What does the doctor say about you puking? No fun. Let me know if you get a chance. I have weird contraction every 55 minutes. But they dont hurt like the real thing. So I dont know what the heck those are. Body getting ready I guess. My daughter and I will say a prayer for u and your baby!

monica9 - Tuesday, 29 April
to get the baby to move, you said to get on all fours. do you mean on my hands and feet or my hands and knees?
