I had my first ultrasound which changed my due date and put me back two weeks! Ugh! But we are both healthy and I am so thankful!

November 6, 2007

We heard the heartbeat this morning!! 160 and doing very well! I also found out that somehow I have only gained 2 lbs. Apparently, I lost a weight and have gained it all back just in my belly and chest! I had no idea! Thought at least 8 lbs! :) But we're doing great and next appt, Dec 4.

January 7, 2008 ~ 20 weeks. I told my doc that I have not felt the baby move a lot and she told me to go home and concentrate. So I did and guess what? I felt him and it was wonderful! Now I know what to look for and feel so much better my little angel is growing so strong!

February 5, 2008 ~ 24 weeks and 17 pound weight gain! Feeling great, just some normal aches and pains... growing pains!

February 22, 2008 ~ My wonderful, fantastic aunt passed away today and I am devastated by it. Trying hard to stay strong. When I get too upset, I definitely feel it effects my little one. Trying to focus on our memories and what a wonderful person she is. I know my little baby has an angel looking after him!

March 4, 2008 ~ 28.2 weeks Wow! Time is flying. I wish I kept a better journal on here of how I was progressing and what I was feeling. Oh well. Next time:) Had my glucose test today. It wasn't so bad. I didn't really feel much different after drinking the drink so I believe I'm going to be fine with that test.

Have gained a total of 24 pounds! Feels like so much but I really don't have a say in it. I don't eat junk food and I never overeat, so I'm convinced this is just the weight I am supposed to put on. My little boy is doing great and I am truly blessed!

Just working on getting things set for our little boy's debut! Baby Shower March 29, 2008 - Can't wait! Invites went out and people are already buying things for my little one. Makes me feel so good that we will have everything he needs. So excited!

March 5, 2008 ~ I found out today I failed my glucose test, so I have to take the three hour. I'm a little down, but I'm hoping for the best. I feel like I can handle anything that is wrong with me, as long as my little angel is strong and healthy. And he is doing great so I feel blessed! Whatever I have to do to keep him safe:)

March 6, 2008 ~ I had the best day today! I went for a pregnancy massage and a manicure, and when I got home, my husband had baked me a cake! I love cake! He'd never made a cake before, and it was so sweet. He is going to be such a great father. I am so lucky! Tomorrow I go for my 3 hour Glucose Test and am so glad he is going with me.

March 8, 2008 ~ I was hugging my husband at the airport and our baby kicked him! Like he was saying goodbye to his daddy... it was a precious moment! He is getting so strong I can sometimes see my belly move! Loving it!

March 10, 2008 ~ Passed my 3 hour glucose test ... no GD!!! The very best birthday present.

March 11, 2008 ~ Today I had to go to the ER because of a marked decrease in fetal movement. We found the heartbeat, but it was difficult to get a constant reading. After a few hours, finally, we were able to get a satisfactory read. It was heaven to hear and feel my little angel moving and kicking the fetal monitor... music to my ears. We don't know what caused it, hopefully we'll know more tomorrow when I see the doc.

March 12, 2008 ~ Went to the doc today to as a follow-up from my ER visit. She recommended I stop working now because the stress is just too much and endangering Ethan.

March 17, 2008 ~ Based on my doc's recommendation, I now work from home. No more running around the tri-county area and running myself ragged. This was the best compromise and my bosses were very happy they still have me as I'll be out completely in just a short time. I already feel better and know this is the absolute right thing for my little guy!

March 29, 2008 ~ BABY SHOWER! Fantastic wonderful Baby Shower!

April 3, 2008 ~ We had an ultrasound today and my little (or not so little) guy is weighing in at 5 lbs! The average baby weighs nearly 4 lbs now, so we're either farther along then they think or he is a bog baby (like his daddy was:). I'll have to ask next visit. Total weight gain at 32.5 weeks = 28 lbs. Doc says I'm doing great with the weight so all is good!

April 14, 2008 ~ I went to the office today (I only go in about once a week and do most of my work from home now). They surprised me with a shower and had all chipped in and bought us our big boy Britex car seat! We also got Neiman Marcus outfit, rattle and blanket... so beautiful and soft! I was so blown away they did that for us. Just wonderful!

April 15, 2008 ~ Doctor's appt. Strong heartbeat and measuring well. Ethan weighs 6 lbs now. I've gained a total of 29 lbs. Doctor is starting to seriously consider a c-sect, he is just so big!

April 19, 2008 ~ Our best friends, Jeff and Toni's wedding. I was supposed to be a Bridesmaid but am just way too pregnant. Scott was a Groomsman. Jeff set Scott and I up on a blind date, and I set Jeff and Toni up and the rest is history! Sending them lots of baby dust! (And yes, I wore my green dress from my Baby Shower and just hope it holds out for one more wedding on May 3:)

April 28, 2008 ~ Well, its official. My engagement ring is going in to the safe until after I give birth. But I can still wear my wedding band because I never got it sized so it is a little bigger. So I guess I have fat fingers! :) But I know it is water retention, not weight gain, since I have not gained any weight recently so that's ok! Hopefully my band will hold out! I'm ready to meet you, Ethan!!!

April 30, 2008 ~ Went to the police station this morning to have our car seat inspected for installation. Daddy-to-be got an A+! He is going to be an amazing father!

May 1, 2008 ~ Went to the doctor's today. We are not dilated but she could feel his head. He has a little while to go. I might be ready, but he's not:) But I'm glad I have some more time to get things done. Also had the Group B Strep test, no big deal. We got some clarification that what I am feeling is in fact contractions so now I know to pay more attention. We go back next Thursday.

I was taking the pills, but I started taking the chewables and they work sooooooo much better. I wasn't seeing much relief when i was taking the pills. I would definatly suggest the chewables (I take the berry ones :))

Go get papaya enzyme i eat them like crazy but they work. I couldnt take the pepcid anymore cause they made me sick i would just throw them up. I went to the health food store and got the papaya its better then the ones at gnc but they both work and u can eat as many as u want i eat like 6 at a time and there more natural for u. I just want her to come soon before I get nervous. I feel like if it happens soon then it will be like a shock but if it takes longer then Im gonna think about it too much. How can u tell if u dropped cause I cant realy tell but I can tell a litlle

I knew the hospital was in cs but I didn't realize you guys lived in hollywood. That is a long drive and with traffic you never know.

The shower was ok we have been so busy as it turned out a lot of people were traveling today (some of the people I like the most) but it was nice that they made an effort. I normally organize the stuff like that so I think they were kind of lost on their own.

I go to the doc tomorrow as well. I am not expecting any exciting news. I have no signs of labor (of course some cramping and bh) but nothing serious. He is so high up - still in my ribs. I am assuming I am not dilated or effaced at all. I think he is staying put until the 20th. My friend is due in 2 days and she is so ready to go. I feel bad for her she doens't want to wait any more she has been ready for 2 weeks now.

We are going to go on our shopping trip this weekend. i am going to try to work on our list tomorrow. Other than that....wow we don't have anything to do. We still need to clean up a bit but nothing major so we might go have fun. Imagine that. I could so go for Margarita's at Piedmont Park but I will have to settle for lemonade.

I figured family would be coming to see Ethan. My mom and dad are coming 2 days after he is born (the csetion is on tues) so they will be here thurs and stay until Monday. They are divorced so it will be very interesting to see how that goes. When they leave then Mike's mom is coming for the week and his dad and sister will join us for the weekend. I am excited braydend will have his family around but I think i am going to be looking forward to a little alone time with him after a while.

so is friday your last day at work. how have you been feeling any labor signs?

I'm getting very ancious, but still sleeping... I dont have a lot of pain on back or anyhthing like that... my legs are really sore but I'm getting used to I guess... this baby is lazzy he doesnt want to drop!! My belly is very hight still.... has you baby dropped yet?

My day was awful...but it is getting better! This morning I was violently throwing up again and contracting. I seriously thought I wasn't going to be strong enough to go through it again. After about five hours of constant vomitting...it was just bile and blood. Sorry that is gross, but it's true. I was miserable. I didn't think I was going to be able to make it to my appointment and needing to go to L&D. The whole office looks at me with such pity coming in throwing up. I always try to be so strong and positive. Today I just burst into tears while talking to the nurse. I was so sick and I just was breaking down. The doctor came in and burst into tears again. Then I pulled myself together. I had thrown up EVERYHING in me and nothing was left and I started to feel better. She asked if I wanted to go get an IV to get hydrated and I just wanted to try to do it on my own and not have to spend more time in the hospital.

Even with being stuck in bed, and being on the procardia there has been cervical change! I'm 80% effaced and there was more dilation! So really it could be anytime---but they didn't want to get my hopes up since I have been contracting so strongly and things have moved so slowly. She said if I didn't have the baby by early next week they would schedule me early in the week. We ended up just getting an appt next Wednesday. Today...they weren't going to stop labor, but they aren't going to do anything to advance it. Even though I am SO sick we all really want this baby to be full term. So that is that. I am feeling human again. I've been contracting since we left and am very uncomfortable, but am not throwing up now! Thank God! We'll have to see what happens....

Oh yes i get heart burn sooo bad as well. My doctor told me I could take pepcid because i told her tums were just NOT cutting it. I take the chewable kind and its gone in like 10 mins and stays away all day. I would die without that stuff!!!!!

how was the doc appt today? You know what after I felt so horrible Monday night I finished all my packing. Like you said I felt like I had a lot of time and then was like ok I just need to go ahead and get prepared. They say you don't need to pack a lot of stuff for the baby - but I did. I have his first born outfit. They take a photo (for security purposes) immediatly after they are born so you can bring an outfit into the room and they will put him in it. It is just a onezie with a hat and mittens. Then I packed his comming home outfit as well as a sleeper a few onezies, hats, socks, and mittens. I am sure I went overboard. hey the stuff is so tiny it fits in a tiny little bag so it doesnt' look like I brought a lot of stuff. I am also putting my snoogle and boppy in the car just in case. I can't imagine the the beds are very comfy.

we are going to do our last shopping trip this weekend. did you get everything you needed? is any of scott's family coming after the baby is born? we just went to costco and did a huge shopping because we will have out of town visitors on and off for a while.

well let me know how you made out at the doc. I go tomorrow.

my g/f threw me off cause they keep telling me that there babies were not that small like between 6-7 lbs and they bought all premie stuff. I remember when my g/f brought her daughter home she needed all premie stuff and she was almost 7 lbs I I bought like one premie gown even if it just fits her for one day and it came with a hat. i bought the tshirts but i dont even knwo if those will fit. i also brought her a gerber onesie they say gerber runs small and carter runs tru to size. Maybe im just hinking too much butits hard when people tell u things. Im not worried though cause I figure im going to be in the hospial for 2 days if I need anything my mom or someone can jsut go get it for me and wash it thats it. I only live like 10 min from the hospital. Im sure the hospital has everything though. I feel good so far today but u never know I have to eat like very plain things now what about u. I just throw up stuff that doesnt agree with me. I hope I hope just one more week Im really going to do everything i can like walk and have sex lol

YES, it would be weird! I think that's why I don't want to know. I know how I am and it would just wreck my brain to know I'm walking around dilated, I would be so paranoid! I feel like I'm playing the waiting game these days. Every day that passes I'm waiting for something monumental to happen, like lose my mucus plug or the big break, but nothing as of yet!

I didn't have such a great day yesterday, I was really cranky. I didn't get that much sleep the night before and everyone was just getting on my nerves for various reasons. But I feel better today! So have you packed your hospital bag yet? I haven't; I don't want to jinx anything, lol. But I did order some necessities this week like a gown/robe set, nursing bras, etc.

I feel like I have so much energy tonight and I got no sleep last night. Its the wierdest feeling. I packed my bag tonight I didnt even know what to pack for the baby I have no idea what im taking her home in. do u have an outfit for your baby? I went to the dr today and im half a cm dialated i guess thats better then nothing. my mom told me that she wasnt even dialated and 3 days later she went into labor so i guess u never know. Ive been walking everyday on the treadmill so shell come down lol hows everything with u?

The doc said I need to come to the hospital if it happens again something with the blood flow and circulation - it is from stress. I did so much better today and I think everyone is working not to get me involved in anything and I am passing off everything I can. By Friday I should have nothing to do. My last day is next Friday. So 1 and 1/2 left.

I feel great today and just got back from a nice long walk. How are you feeling? They are having a little shower for me tomorrow so it should be a fun day!

I think it is so cool how they drop down just amazed by the whole birthing process. It is so neat how your body prepares for the big day.

I don't know which hospital she was at her practice had quite a few docs so she saw a different person all the time and she hadn't put on to much weight and the baby wasn't measuring big so they let him go pat the date. I think too far past.

So when do you go back to the doc? Will they get his measurments again? Hope all is well.

That's what the doctor told me... let's try to wait to see if your body does some work... only one week... By the way Motherhood has the nursing ones pretty cheap!! I bought them for like 20 bucks and the are nursing ones... are you going to breastfeed??

oh wow- so you know how i feel for sure. i mean, i thought the pain was bad before i got pregnant but when i hit my 6th or 7th month, talk about SERIOUS PAIN....i thought i was gonna die!!! so do u take pain medication while your pregnant?

Haha...I wish! I am gaining weight like crazy. It makes no sense-I haven't been able to keep anything down. I look like that blueberry from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but with cankles and HUGE boobies lol. HAHA

I am contracting on and off PAINFUL but they are not getting consistent at all. I see the doctor tomorrow.

My baby is 7,9 pounds. If he was over 8 pounds he was going to induce me this coming thursday but he is waiting one more week cause there is no medical reason to induce me just yet... so I have an appointment on my due date the 12th of may and then they are schdeuling for the next couple days.. cervix is soft but way high and baby has not dropped at all!!! This must be a lazy baby!! ahahaha

Well I hope you and Scott can relax this weekend - sounds like you have had some fun weekends but you must be worn out.

I had a horrible day yesterday and was having horrible BH all day and then at 5 got dizzy and lost all feeling in my left side. I was totally numb and felt drugged. I am sure it was triggered by stress and people took note around here. I am doing so much better today and am taking breaks throughout the day. The doc said it had something to do with the blood vessels and nerves and is kind of like a migrane which shuts down a part of your body.

Went for an u/s today - and confirmed the csection. The doc was really nice about it and was a bit dissapointed but Mike and I had been preparing for it all along we knew we only had a very small chance. His head is direclty on the fibroid which is direcly on my cervix blocking the "exit door". So we are good to go on May 20th at 8am. He was measuring 7 lbs 5 oz - so he is still big but his growth has slowed quite a bit. He was close to 80 percentile at 34 wks and now is more around 65%. If he gains 1/2 lb a week he will be around 8lbs 5 oz at birth so I am going to go ahead and wash up the few newborn things I got - even if he only wears them once that is fine and if he doesn't wear them I can donate them.

So how are you doing? How have you been feeling? Has Ethan been active lately? It was so funny last night after feeling horrible all night - Brayden got really active and mike and I watched the "freak show" in my belly he was sticking all kinds of body parts out everywere it was so cool.

I had an exam early on at 33 weeks due to cervix pain (it was just the baby) and it was sooo uncomfortable. I told myself then that I would put off another one for as long as possible! So my doctor said he will wait until next week to examine me again but no longer. Aside from it being uncomfortable, I just don't want to aggravate things down there. I'm pretty sure I'll know when something is happening. Plus I keep hearing people say you can be dilated and still not go into labor for weeks. So I guess I just don't see the point but hey, what do I know, lol. I think my stinky boy is staying in until the end too! I guess they're snug as a bug in there. He also weighed 5 pounds at 32 weeks. It is a mystery because everything is just an estimate at this point. I just hope he doesn't go past 8 pounds, that's all! But I would rather not have a C Section if I can help it. I know everyone is different but C Sections generally have a longer recovery process. Have you looked into inducement instead? I have to go every week now so I will be going again next Monday. He weighed in at 6.10 yesterday!

i am doing well so far still... i can't wait till her growth scan on Monday to see what's what..i think they will say everything is fine and she will go till she's ready...we'll see...isn't it weird how ALOT of Dr's are doing c-sections now? i don't want one but if i have to then so be it but ALOT of girls on here seem to get induced or c-sections.. i hope Mara caught up to her measurements so thye don't have to induce me...
i think she's gna be a big baby if she did continue to grow.. i was thinking atleast 8 at birth from day 1..
we;ll see!
i'm not uncomfy yet really just hate this puffy face!! ugh!!
