I had my first ultrasound which changed my due date and put me back two weeks! Ugh! But we are both healthy and I am so thankful!

We heard the heartbeat this morning!! 160 and doing very well! I also found out that somehow I have only gained 2 lbs. Apparently, I lost a weight and have gained it all back just in my belly and chest! I had no idea! Thought at least 8 lbs! :) But we're doing great and next appt, Dec 4.

Its official! We are having a wonderful baby boy! He is doing very well and weighs 9oz!
Timeline (because I can never keep this straight):
Month 1- Weeks 1-4
Month 2- Weeks 5-8
Month 3- Weeks 9-13
Month 4- Weeks 14-17
Month 5- Weeks 18-21
Month 6- Weeks 22-26
Month 7- Weeks 27-30
Month 8- Weeks 31-35
Month 9- Weeks 36-40
January 7, 2008 ~ 20 weeks. I told my doc that I have not felt the baby move a lot and she told me to go home and concentrate. So I did and guess what? I felt him and it was wonderful! Now I know what to look for and feel so much better my little angel is growing so strong!
February 5, 2008 ~ 24 weeks and 17 pound weight gain! Feeling great, just some normal aches and pains... growing pains!
February 22, 2008 ~ My wonderful, fantastic aunt passed away today and I am devastated by it. Trying hard to stay strong. When I get too upset, I definitely feel it effects my little one. Trying to focus on our memories and what a wonderful person she is. I know my little baby has an angel looking after him!
March 4, 2008 ~ 28.2 weeks Wow! Time is flying. I wish I kept a better journal on here of how I was progressing and what I was feeling. Oh well. Next time:) Had my glucose test today. It wasn't so bad. I didn't really feel much different after drinking the drink so I believe I'm going to be fine with that test.
Have gained a total of 24 pounds! Feels like so much but I really don't have a say in it. I don't eat junk food and I never overeat, so I'm convinced this is just the weight I am supposed to put on. My little boy is doing great and I am truly blessed!
Just working on getting things set for our little boy's debut! Baby Shower March 29, 2008 - Can't wait! Invites went out and people are already buying things for my little one. Makes me feel so good that we will have everything he needs. So excited!
March 5, 2008 ~ I found out today I failed my glucose test, so I have to take the three hour. I'm a little down, but I'm hoping for the best. I feel like I can handle anything that is wrong with me, as long as my little angel is strong and healthy. And he is doing great so I feel blessed! Whatever I have to do to keep him safe:)
March 6, 2008 ~ I had the best day today! I went for a pregnancy massage and a manicure, and when I got home, my husband had baked me a cake! I love cake! He'd never made a cake before, and it was so sweet. He is going to be such a great father. I am so lucky! Tomorrow I go for my 3 hour Glucose Test and am so glad he is going with me.
March 8, 2008 ~ I was hugging my husband at the airport and our baby kicked him! Like he was saying goodbye to his daddy... it was a precious moment! He is getting so strong I can sometimes see my belly move! Loving it!
March 10, 2008 ~ Passed my 3 hour glucose test ... no GD!!! The very best birthday present.
March 11, 2008 ~ Today I had to go to the ER because of a marked decrease in fetal movement. We found the heartbeat, but it was difficult to get a constant reading. After a few hours, finally, we were able to get a satisfactory read. It was heaven to hear and feel my little angel moving and kicking the fetal monitor... music to my ears. We don't know what caused it, hopefully we'll know more tomorrow when I see the doc.
March 12, 2008 ~ Went to the doc today to as a follow-up from my ER visit. She recommended I stop working now because the stress is just too much and endangering Ethan.
March 17, 2008 ~ Based on my doc's recommendation, I now work from home. No more running around the tri-county area and running myself ragged. This was the best compromise and my bosses were very happy they still have me as I'll be out completely in just a short time. I already feel better and know this is the absolute right thing for my little guy!
March 29, 2008 ~ BABY SHOWER! Fantastic wonderful Baby Shower!
April 3, 2008 ~ We had an ultrasound today and my little (or not so little) guy is weighing in at 5 lbs! The average baby weighs nearly 4 lbs now, so we're either farther along then they think or he is a bog baby (like his daddy was:). I'll have to ask next visit. Total weight gain at 32.5 weeks = 28 lbs. Doc says I'm doing great with the weight so all is good!
April 14, 2008 ~ I went to the office today (I only go in about once a week and do most of my work from home now). They surprised me with a shower and had all chipped in and bought us our big boy Britex car seat! We also got Neiman Marcus outfit, rattle and blanket... so beautiful and soft! I was so blown away they did that for us. Just wonderful!
April 15, 2008 ~ Doctor's appt. Strong heartbeat and measuring well. Ethan weighs 6 lbs now. I've gained a total of 29 lbs. Doctor is starting to seriously consider a c-sect, he is just so big!
April 19, 2008 ~ Our best friends, Jeff and Toni's wedding. I was supposed to be a Bridesmaid but am just way too pregnant. Scott was a Groomsman. Jeff set Scott and I up on a blind date, and I set Jeff and Toni up and the rest is history! Sending them lots of baby dust! (And yes, I wore my green dress from my Baby Shower and just hope it holds out for one more wedding on May 3:)
April 28, 2008 ~ Well, its official. My engagement ring is going in to the safe until after I give birth. But I can still wear my wedding band because I never got it sized so it is a little bigger. So I guess I have fat fingers! :) But I know it is water retention, not weight gain, since I have not gained any weight recently so that's ok! Hopefully my band will hold out! I'm ready to meet you, Ethan!!!
April 30, 2008 ~ Went to the police station this morning to have our car seat inspected for installation. Daddy-to-be got an A+! He is going to be an amazing father!
May 1, 2008 ~ Went to the doctor's today. We are not dilated but she could feel his head. He has a little while to go. I might be ready, but he's not:) But I'm glad I have some more time to get things done. Also had the Group B Strep test, no big deal. We got some clarification that what I am feeling is in fact contractions so now I know to pay more attention. We go back next Thursday.

Hey! Right now no iduction or c-section date set. They said that it was too early to help things along and they were SO sure that I would be giving birth---but the contractions just wouldn't dilate me more. I had some effacement, but was still only 1cm dilated...so they sent me home on medication to ease the contractions. SOOOOOO dramatic.
Ohhhhh...Florida sunshine:)

Your week 37 pictures LOOK GREAT. You have the BEST maternity outfits ever. Where did you get that dress? I don't remember you telling me about it. You look amazing. I am so happy that you were able to enjoy the wedding and have a nice time AWAY from work:)

Hey you!
How are you doing? I'm ok. I hadn't been on because I was in the hospital. I started violently throwing up Saturday night...Sunday was still sick, blood pressure was through the roof, back pain, contractions every 2-3 minutes-etc. I went to the hospital and they were sure I was going to have the baby. Long story...no baby. Still pregnant and on medication to stop/ease contractions AGAIN. I just posted a blog about it.
I'm so sorry to hear about your belly! That must have really hurt! Probably scared you as well! I hope that you are feeling well and I will check out your belly pictures from week 37! How exciting:)

i have gained 32lbs, although at my last appointment i lost 3! i read in my book that is part of prelabor symptoms, when i left the drs office he said see you in a week, or in the delivery room, wow did that get my hyped i tell you!!!! your belly looks lower than mine. i have felt really confidant, happy and attractive about my preggy figure until a friend kept taking pictures over the weekend and no angle seem to look flattering or like ME. LOL. i was lying in bed this am thinking, in no time i will sleep on my stomach, wearing normal clothes (bigger maybe but normal) i could have a sip or two of wine, and back to all those little things i havent done since last summer.
i go to my friend pages too, check in on everyone, i like yours because of your countdown, :) i couodnt download it on mine...
i should have my pics tomorrow. ill post them.

I'm hanging in there, thanks for asking! Still working which sucks but the 16th is my last day so I've started the count-down! I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and the baby's doing great. He wanted to do a check to see if I've started dilating but I chickened out, lol. How's everything by you and how's your baby?

morning, you look lovely as always! you have definately droped! isnt it weird to see pics of yourself with such a changed body and face?! i feel and see myself differently than what a camera takes. today im getting prenatal pics done, i almost cancelled because of the "acne" i still have on my shoulders, but cover up will do and i think ill be happy i had them done.
so you think you'll go to the end, funny, thats a better frame of mind that mine, i think he's coming early which will result in 3 weeks feeling like an eternity! we shall see...
do you find the weekly forum feels different now, like i dont know anyone, where did all the ladies go? :)

I'm having contractions, too, they are about 4 minutes apart, but they don't hurt so bad that I can't talk through them which is when I heard they are true labor contractions. I think this whole labor stuff is really confusing. I'm going to go out and run some errands and I have some laundry to get done... I've heard that if they are true labor contractions that changes in activity won't make them stop, but if it's just BH or pre labor contractions the frequency will change or they will stop altogether.

I have been having severe cramping since the middle of the night, as well as bleeding (not heavy bleeding, just like what you normally see after an exam, but it hasn't stopped). I called the nurse and she told me I very well could be in the early stages of labor. Would be nice!!

Hi there,
Just got back from my doctors appt. The Non Stress Test, fluid level check, and all that stuff turned out great. Baby is doing just fine in there! I haven't dilated any more, but I'm not up to 80% effaced. She's also dropped a little bit, though not much. I told my doc I would love for them to try inducing me by breaking my water first rather than giving me pitocin, and she said it's possible but they'd like to see the baby drop more first. She told me to mention it to the doctor on Thursday that will be inducing me. My mom had me 2 hours after her water broke, plus that allows you to walk around rather than being hooked to monitors and IVs. So I'm hoping that route will work out for me, but regardless, baby girl should be here sometime on the 8th, hopefully, unless labor ends up being really long then I guess she could come on the 9th.

So how was Scott's bday. Wow you guys have had quite a few busy weekends in a row. We got a lot of cleaning done this weekend and I finally let mike set up the swing bouncer, etc. They are having a little shower for me at work on Wed so after that we will go to BRU to get the final items we need and then believe it or not....I think I will feel ready. Isn't that crazy it feels like we have been preparing forever. I might actually have nothing to do over the next two weekends. Wouldn't that be nice.
Well I am dreading going to work tomorrow but this week is going to fly by. I have an u/s on tues, shower on wed, doc on thurs and a lunch on friday so it it going to be the weekend before I know it.
So how is everything going with you? How are you feeling?

Hey there! Who knew my little question would start so much drama? lol The woman is CRAZY and I'm glad she's gone! Apparently her page is deleted now and I hope by the site Admin! But I have no idea who she was talking about as far as the member who deleted their page and "left in shame". I thought she was talking about you too but then I saw your page was still up. She was just going around deleting comments as she felt like! After she deleted yours under Week 36, she actually deleted one of her comments to me (one that was really rude) so people couldn't see what an ass she was. But all of her comments are gone now, I'm assuming because her profile got deleted. Whatev, I'm over it! And certainly happy she's gone. Hope you had fun celebrating! :)

I know, it's so exciting!!! I will keep you posted after my doctors appt on tuesday... hopefully he is in the right position so they can induce me on Thursday!! My mom will be here next sunday... I cannot belive it's really happening!! How are you feeling? Any signs of labor yet???

I'm getting impatient - and so is my family, we are all so excited! I have been having a lot of BH's but no other signs so far.. Have you tried that raspberry leaf tea? - I have been, its supposed to help get things moving!

Oh thank u so much. I cant believe how sick I was for 2 days I think I feel better today I just woke up. I didnt go to sleep till after 3 am. I feel this coming to an end I just wish it would go a little faster. How are u feeling?
