I had my first ultrasound which changed my due date and put me back two weeks! Ugh! But we are both healthy and I am so thankful!

We heard the heartbeat this morning!! 160 and doing very well! I also found out that somehow I have only gained 2 lbs. Apparently, I lost a weight and have gained it all back just in my belly and chest! I had no idea! Thought at least 8 lbs! :) But we're doing great and next appt, Dec 4.

Its official! We are having a wonderful baby boy! He is doing very well and weighs 9oz!
Timeline (because I can never keep this straight):
Month 1- Weeks 1-4
Month 2- Weeks 5-8
Month 3- Weeks 9-13
Month 4- Weeks 14-17
Month 5- Weeks 18-21
Month 6- Weeks 22-26
Month 7- Weeks 27-30
Month 8- Weeks 31-35
Month 9- Weeks 36-40
January 7, 2008 ~ 20 weeks. I told my doc that I have not felt the baby move a lot and she told me to go home and concentrate. So I did and guess what? I felt him and it was wonderful! Now I know what to look for and feel so much better my little angel is growing so strong!
February 5, 2008 ~ 24 weeks and 17 pound weight gain! Feeling great, just some normal aches and pains... growing pains!
February 22, 2008 ~ My wonderful, fantastic aunt passed away today and I am devastated by it. Trying hard to stay strong. When I get too upset, I definitely feel it effects my little one. Trying to focus on our memories and what a wonderful person she is. I know my little baby has an angel looking after him!
March 4, 2008 ~ 28.2 weeks Wow! Time is flying. I wish I kept a better journal on here of how I was progressing and what I was feeling. Oh well. Next time:) Had my glucose test today. It wasn't so bad. I didn't really feel much different after drinking the drink so I believe I'm going to be fine with that test.
Have gained a total of 24 pounds! Feels like so much but I really don't have a say in it. I don't eat junk food and I never overeat, so I'm convinced this is just the weight I am supposed to put on. My little boy is doing great and I am truly blessed!
Just working on getting things set for our little boy's debut! Baby Shower March 29, 2008 - Can't wait! Invites went out and people are already buying things for my little one. Makes me feel so good that we will have everything he needs. So excited!
March 5, 2008 ~ I found out today I failed my glucose test, so I have to take the three hour. I'm a little down, but I'm hoping for the best. I feel like I can handle anything that is wrong with me, as long as my little angel is strong and healthy. And he is doing great so I feel blessed! Whatever I have to do to keep him safe:)
March 6, 2008 ~ I had the best day today! I went for a pregnancy massage and a manicure, and when I got home, my husband had baked me a cake! I love cake! He'd never made a cake before, and it was so sweet. He is going to be such a great father. I am so lucky! Tomorrow I go for my 3 hour Glucose Test and am so glad he is going with me.
March 8, 2008 ~ I was hugging my husband at the airport and our baby kicked him! Like he was saying goodbye to his daddy... it was a precious moment! He is getting so strong I can sometimes see my belly move! Loving it!
March 10, 2008 ~ Passed my 3 hour glucose test ... no GD!!! The very best birthday present.
March 11, 2008 ~ Today I had to go to the ER because of a marked decrease in fetal movement. We found the heartbeat, but it was difficult to get a constant reading. After a few hours, finally, we were able to get a satisfactory read. It was heaven to hear and feel my little angel moving and kicking the fetal monitor... music to my ears. We don't know what caused it, hopefully we'll know more tomorrow when I see the doc.
March 12, 2008 ~ Went to the doc today to as a follow-up from my ER visit. She recommended I stop working now because the stress is just too much and endangering Ethan.
March 17, 2008 ~ Based on my doc's recommendation, I now work from home. No more running around the tri-county area and running myself ragged. This was the best compromise and my bosses were very happy they still have me as I'll be out completely in just a short time. I already feel better and know this is the absolute right thing for my little guy!
March 29, 2008 ~ BABY SHOWER! Fantastic wonderful Baby Shower!
April 3, 2008 ~ We had an ultrasound today and my little (or not so little) guy is weighing in at 5 lbs! The average baby weighs nearly 4 lbs now, so we're either farther along then they think or he is a bog baby (like his daddy was:). I'll have to ask next visit. Total weight gain at 32.5 weeks = 28 lbs. Doc says I'm doing great with the weight so all is good!
April 14, 2008 ~ I went to the office today (I only go in about once a week and do most of my work from home now). They surprised me with a shower and had all chipped in and bought us our big boy Britex car seat! We also got Neiman Marcus outfit, rattle and blanket... so beautiful and soft! I was so blown away they did that for us. Just wonderful!
April 15, 2008 ~ Doctor's appt. Strong heartbeat and measuring well. Ethan weighs 6 lbs now. I've gained a total of 29 lbs. Doctor is starting to seriously consider a c-sect, he is just so big!
April 19, 2008 ~ Our best friends, Jeff and Toni's wedding. I was supposed to be a Bridesmaid but am just way too pregnant. Scott was a Groomsman. Jeff set Scott and I up on a blind date, and I set Jeff and Toni up and the rest is history! Sending them lots of baby dust! (And yes, I wore my green dress from my Baby Shower and just hope it holds out for one more wedding on May 3:)
April 28, 2008 ~ Well, its official. My engagement ring is going in to the safe until after I give birth. But I can still wear my wedding band because I never got it sized so it is a little bigger. So I guess I have fat fingers! :) But I know it is water retention, not weight gain, since I have not gained any weight recently so that's ok! Hopefully my band will hold out! I'm ready to meet you, Ethan!!!
April 30, 2008 ~ Went to the police station this morning to have our car seat inspected for installation. Daddy-to-be got an A+! He is going to be an amazing father!
May 1, 2008 ~ Went to the doctor's today. We are not dilated but she could feel his head. He has a little while to go. I might be ready, but he's not:) But I'm glad I have some more time to get things done. Also had the Group B Strep test, no big deal. We got some clarification that what I am feeling is in fact contractions so now I know to pay more attention. We go back next Thursday.

The changing table cover is SOOOO soft! I was really impressed. Now let's see how long it holds up! I did buy an extra one so that the same one isn't constantly being used and worn out. Hope it helps.

I know I can't wait to go. I think it is a great place for a pregnant woman to go for dinner because you really take your time eating (it is so drawn out) but that is how I have to eat now anyways. The thought of a big fat steak just doesn't do it for me right now but some cheese and salad and veggies wow I am getting hungry. I am having a really hard time working today it is so nice out and I am just counting down the hours. Mike and I go for a walk most nights and it is perfect today. I can't wait to go home and play with Brayden's stuff some more. Hope you are having a great day!

Hey! We got a bassinet the (Edie Bauer one) at BRU's. It's really cute. I have mixed feelings about it but I think we can make it work by having baby sleep in his room during the day so that the adjustment to his bed isn't as tough:) Good plan on bringing the crib into your room!
I am glad that something is starting for you! WOO HOO! I hope that they are doing something there for you and that they get more consistent soon so that you don't have to go through any false labor. How exciting:)
Three hour deposition? Lovely! Not what you need! But, I am glad that you are able to work from home mostly and that you will be able to go out and see a movie tonight:)

Oh man I bet you were tired after that. I can't wait to be done with work now that I see the finish line I just want to get there!! I truthfully have been sleeping very well. I usually am out by 11pm and wake up 3-4 times but get some pretty good sleep. I know that is going to change soon.
I have had 2 days of bad contractions last week that felt strong and lower but nothing too much lately. I think I am going to make it to the 20th just fine. I asked my doc what causes labor to start or water to break and it is amazing to me that they really don't fully know.
I love the new photos of the nursery. That is so cool that you have Scott's baby shoes and mirror. What a cool think to be able to share with Ethan. And I love the little frogs on the changing table cover. My god son is 2 and he LOVEs frogs.
well have fun at speed racer. Mike really wants to go see iron man so we may squeeze that in this weekend. We are going to the melting pot this weekend because my birthday is sunday.

Hey - so are you working this week? I am so happy only 4 more days!!!! Then I get some quality time alone with my belly. Brayden is so big his kicks are so strong omg. He is still up so high - not droping at all. Your room looks great. I love all the animals. Mike is really proud of the work in Brayden's room - your comments made him blush (ahhh).
I don't know about you but my belly is getting larger by the day it is kind of fun and to tell you the truth I am going to miss it a little. I agree it is best to lay low over the next few weeks. I only have one more trip to the store for stuff for Brayden and we are all done. This weekend we may go to another movie. Hard to belive only one more weekend left! So you go to the doc on Thurs this week?
My girlfirend had her baby yesterday. Not only was it mothers day but also her birthday. She was 6 lbs 15 oz (seems tiny compared to our big boys) I say Brayden is going to look like a sumo wrestler next to her.

Hey chicky, SO maybe it will be you and i til the end, LOL.
Its so exciting to follow these stories and births everyday!!! How are you doing? Having any signs?? I have a dr.s appt tomorrow, not that he'll tell me anything. He's not doing internals, which is OK, i think sometimes numbers mislead you into thinking it ll happen sooner than later, and often thats not the case. We'll know when somethings REALLY happening.
I feel like when it does happen, my water will break, thats how i see this all starting. we shall see.
I feel great still, just a busy mind, wondering, so many questions...and god do i have BAD dreams every night, like mini horror movies. Nothing to do with baby or life really, just weird, bizarre stuff that has me scared in the night, and im NEVER like that, movies and stuff dont scare me!!!

I'm doing ok. Throwing up AGAIn this morning, but it's not nearly as bad as it was! Just hanging in there and timing contractions on and off! How many more days of work do you have?

Hey!
Well we went to brunch with 1/2 the family...then took them all over to our store--came back here and hung out with family. Then John and I went to dinner. We had to leave because I was having bad contractions. We came home and timed them every four minutes lasting a minute---and at an hour....they faded! So---here we are!
Cake sounds so yummy! I am glad you enjoyed it. Are your pictures on the nursery photo books? I LOVE Ethan's chair! It's SO cute:)

hey girl - happy mother's day. Did you guys have a good weekend? We saw Baby Mama it was pretty funny other than that we really took it easy. I went into work today to try to get a head start on the week. I was going to work until the day before the csection but now I am going to try to end work this thurs or friday. Any signs of labor this weekend? How are you feeling? I am having a llittle more pressure and cramping but nothing exciting. I think he likes it in there.
Hope you guys had a great weekend. I guess it is just a waiting game from here on out.

I'm well, just tired. She spends most of her waking hours at night, and also wants to be fed more at night. Our first night home I was up from midnight to 5am. She's definitely worth it though. My sister told me that once your milk comes in it gets better because they feel more satisfied. I hope that's true.
