I had my first ultrasound which changed my due date and put me back two weeks! Ugh! But we are both healthy and I am so thankful!

November 6, 2007

We heard the heartbeat this morning!! 160 and doing very well! I also found out that somehow I have only gained 2 lbs. Apparently, I lost a weight and have gained it all back just in my belly and chest! I had no idea! Thought at least 8 lbs! :) But we're doing great and next appt, Dec 4.

Its official! We are having a wonderful baby boy! He is doing very well and weighs 9oz!

January 7, 2008 ~ 20 weeks. I told my doc that I have not felt the baby move a lot and she told me to go home and concentrate. So I did and guess what? I felt him and it was wonderful! Now I know what to look for and feel so much better my little angel is growing so strong!

February 5, 2008 ~ 24 weeks and 17 pound weight gain! Feeling great, just some normal aches and pains... growing pains!

February 22, 2008 ~ My wonderful, fantastic aunt passed away today and I am devastated by it. Trying hard to stay strong. When I get too upset, I definitely feel it effects my little one. Trying to focus on our memories and what a wonderful person she is. I know my little baby has an angel looking after him!

March 4, 2008 ~ 28.2 weeks Wow! Time is flying. I wish I kept a better journal on here of how I was progressing and what I was feeling. Oh well. Next time:) Had my glucose test today. It wasn't so bad. I didn't really feel much different after drinking the drink so I believe I'm going to be fine with that test.

Have gained a total of 24 pounds! Feels like so much but I really don't have a say in it. I don't eat junk food and I never overeat, so I'm convinced this is just the weight I am supposed to put on. My little boy is doing great and I am truly blessed!

Just working on getting things set for our little boy's debut! Baby Shower March 29, 2008 - Can't wait! Invites went out and people are already buying things for my little one. Makes me feel so good that we will have everything he needs. So excited!

March 5, 2008 ~ I found out today I failed my glucose test, so I have to take the three hour. I'm a little down, but I'm hoping for the best. I feel like I can handle anything that is wrong with me, as long as my little angel is strong and healthy. And he is doing great so I feel blessed! Whatever I have to do to keep him safe:)

March 6, 2008 ~ I had the best day today! I went for a pregnancy massage and a manicure, and when I got home, my husband had baked me a cake! I love cake! He'd never made a cake before, and it was so sweet. He is going to be such a great father. I am so lucky! Tomorrow I go for my 3 hour Glucose Test and am so glad he is going with me.

March 8, 2008 ~ I was hugging my husband at the airport and our baby kicked him! Like he was saying goodbye to his daddy... it was a precious moment! He is getting so strong I can sometimes see my belly move! Loving it!

March 10, 2008 ~ Passed my 3 hour glucose test ... no GD!!! The very best birthday present.

March 11, 2008 ~ Today I had to go to the ER because of a marked decrease in fetal movement. We found the heartbeat, but it was difficult to get a constant reading. After a few hours, finally, we were able to get a satisfactory read. It was heaven to hear and feel my little angel moving and kicking the fetal monitor... music to my ears. We don't know what caused it, hopefully we'll know more tomorrow when I see the doc.

March 12, 2008 ~ Went to the doc today to as a follow-up from my ER visit. She recommended I stop working now because the stress is just too much and endangering Ethan.

March 17, 2008 ~ Based on my doc's recommendation, I now work from home. No more running around the tri-county area and running myself ragged. This was the best compromise and my bosses were very happy they still have me as I'll be out completely in just a short time. I already feel better and know this is the absolute right thing for my little guy!

March 29, 2008 ~ BABY SHOWER! Fantastic wonderful Baby Shower!

April 3, 2008 ~ We had an ultrasound today and my little (or not so little) guy is weighing in at 5 lbs! The average baby weighs nearly 4 lbs now, so we're either farther along then they think or he is a bog baby (like his daddy was:). I'll have to ask next visit. Total weight gain at 32.5 weeks = 28 lbs. Doc says I'm doing great with the weight so all is good!

April 14, 2008 ~ I went to the office today (I only go in about once a week and do most of my work from home now). They surprised me with a shower and had all chipped in and bought us our big boy Britex car seat! We also got Neiman Marcus outfit, rattle and blanket... so beautiful and soft! I was so blown away they did that for us. Just wonderful!

April 15, 2008 ~ Doctor's appt. Strong heartbeat and measuring well. Ethan weighs 6 lbs now. I've gained a total of 29 lbs. Doctor is starting to seriously consider a c-sect, he is just so big!

April 19, 2008 ~ Our best friends, Jeff and Toni's wedding. I was supposed to be a Bridesmaid but am just way too pregnant. Scott was a Groomsman. Jeff set Scott and I up on a blind date, and I set Jeff and Toni up and the rest is history! Sending them lots of baby dust! (And yes, I wore my green dress from my Baby Shower and just hope it holds out for one more wedding on May 3:)

April 28, 2008 ~ Well, its official. My engagement ring is going in to the safe until after I give birth. But I can still wear my wedding band because I never got it sized so it is a little bigger. So I guess I have fat fingers! :) But I know it is water retention, not weight gain, since I have not gained any weight recently so that's ok! Hopefully my band will hold out! I'm ready to meet you, Ethan!!!

April 30, 2008 ~ Went to the police station this morning to have our car seat inspected for installation. Daddy-to-be got an A+! He is going to be an amazing father!

May 1, 2008 ~ Went to the doctor's today. We are not dilated but she could feel his head. He has a little while to go. I might be ready, but he's not:) But I'm glad I have some more time to get things done. Also had the Group B Strep test, no big deal. We got some clarification that what I am feeling is in fact contractions so now I know to pay more attention. We go back next Thursday.

oh man y didnt I discover the zantac earier wow. one whole night without heartburn that was my main reason i couldnt sleep. Last night I slept sooooo good, I even slept in my bed. It was amazing.
My cousin told me the same thing about not feeling good, that its a good sign plus I have diareah every morning. Everyday I just want my water to break lol. Im losing my voice my throat is that bad it hurts to talk and it sucks cause Im just staying in so it doesnt get worse. Other then that I feel good for once. I feel like a lazy lunp on a log. Even though Im home I dont want to do anything like clean. How are u doing today any signs?

So i got the zantac today I hope its the right one cause i sent my b/f its zantaz 150. i took one and so far its awsome. Is it bad for us though I didnt even ask the dr. cause i heard so many girls taking it. Im still sick I went to the dr and its not strep thank god but I have to just rest and do nothing. fun fun fun. I think ive watched 50 episodes of csi miami so far. Im addicted to that and frasier. I just keep recording them on my dvr. How are u doing?

Mike wants to see Iron man as well!!! I told him I get to make the movie call this time. I really want to see Sex in the city movie and am so sad it is not out. I told Mike he is going to have to get me a Boot Leg copy.

His coming home outfit is all white Calvin Klien romper with a matching hats, socks, mittens. How about Ethan? What are you wearing home? I have a dress but I think it is going to be too tight in the boobs it barely fits now and I hear they get pretty big!

I havnt been feeling good I feel like Im coming down with something. my throat is scratchy Im going to go to the dr today to make sure its not strep. I heard that some people feel really run down before they go into labor Im hoping thats what this is. The heartburn was so bad last night i got up at 3 am and didnt go back to sleep till 5 am. nothing helped. I think im going ot just eat crackers from now on. Im staying in all day today and resting its rainy here anyway

My doc appt was similar to yours. He is still really high up. It actually took a long time to find the heartbeat because he was so high. The heartbeat was barely under my ribcage. The fibroid is blocking him from droping. I didn't have to do an internal since I am having the csection and have had no signs of labor. My girlfriend that I told you had two days left until her due date is still waiting. You are right even though we are ready they might not be yet.

Do you have to go to the hospital to get the u/s? That will be nice to get an update of his weight. Mike and I take bets. We hoped we could see him but both times 34wks and 37wks he was so cramped and had his hand in front of his face (little stinker).

I know I haven't had anything to drink. I can't wait to have a glass of wine. Ohhh sounds so good.

So how do you feel about having so many visitors? I was really excited about it at first but now am a little nervous. My mom is a teacher and I think her plan is to spend the entire summer up here which is so nice but I think I am going to want some time to myself. who knows I might need the help.

i went to the dr yesterday and I am 1 cm dilated and -2 (I'm not sure what that means) but the dr. said "Ok I'll see you in one week if you don't have the baby by then" so I'm thinking any day now. But who knows, like you said our little babies call the shots :).

Same with me! Nada! Nothing. No dialation no effacement. I am measuring abou 41 weeks now but I have a scheduled c section on the 19th so just a little over a week and a half for me!

yeah, so much for the 26th for me! i was content with that date. it's just the awful gestational diabetes that's making me deliver early. guess i have less time to worry, right? as of monday, an u/s showed that leo was weighing in at a slightly below average 6lbs 7ozs. not the monster baby the doctors made me afraid i was going to produce due to the g.d. also, i have gained a very modest 27/28lbs. i thought i would end up much bigger due to it too. my husband says i am acting disappointed :) he said, you are 5' 2", just how big did you want him to be? good point, honey. of course he doesn't have stupidity hormones coursing through his body! thank god. if we were both nuts right now we'd be living in a "van down by the river" (snl referrence) trying to figure out where the nursery should go...driver or passenger seat! ha! hope you are feeling my sane than i am right now!

Thanks! I ended up going to the doc today to get hooked up to the monitor for a non stress test. All turned out fine. The doc said sometimes when the babies drop you might feel less movement. I was so worried because she's normally REALLY active. At least now I can sleep tonight. Thanks again!

Went to Dr. for checkup today~ no dilation, had the strep culture done, then they sent me for a non stress test, gees what a day! So tiring!! They sent me because I mentioned I hadn�t felt her move a lot a lot in the last week�well I guess better safe then sorry right? So I went and everything is fine! Just like I thought but they asked and I told em! Now I�m beat from all the driving!! Breast feeding class tonight so I have to drive all the way back there again! Oh well at least we know she is OK!! Growth scan on Monday, checkups weekly now�. how are you!

Aww, the onesie sounds adorable! Don't waste money on a gown to labor in - just use the disposable ones they give you since you will end up throwing it out anyway. I want one for when I take a shower after and nurse and stuff. I found a cute set on mimimaternity. So how did your doctor's appointment go, any progress?

Well hopefully after your U/S next Thursday you will have more of an idea of how big he is:) It sounds like he really likes Casa de Mommy! But...you never know honey---some people walk around totally effaced and 4cm dilated with no change and then others go into labor quickly when nothing has happened earlier! You never know. In the meantime...enjoy your evenings and weekends with some alone time with Scott! :)

Hey there, ohh, theres the timer again!!! 16 days, OMG. As anxious as i am, my that seems to coming up fast. I feel awesome, I love this part, I have so much energy and baby buzz. Everything has fallen into place and now its just a matter of when. I am enjoying "my time" for this last bit and daydreaming about Rowan, hope he looks like his daddy!

So i found a doula here, so i feel much better about my support network and letting Trent leave out the door for work in the US!! LOL

I posted the pics today, i didnt really feel up to it at the time but am so happy i had them done, Trent cried, said it was the best birthday gift ever. :)

Well, i better get to work, have an awesome day sweets. Let me know how you're doing, feeling anything??
