Feel free to leave me comments. I do read and respond to them, but make them private afterwards. Happy Pregnancies to all! :) July 8th Weeks 21-26 Wow I haven't written in 5 weeks, but I have a good excuse. I finished school and am now working at my 1 month externship. At first, studying for my finals had me very stressed out. We had so much school work on top of it I didn't think I was going to be able to handle it. Then getting the externship was really hard, it seemed no one wanted to hire a pregnant woman. I finally found a job at a chiropractor's office near my house. The first day was almost impossible, I was not used to working the 9 hour shift. But now I LOVE it. Breathing is getting tough too. I feel like she is running out of room in there. I love being pregnant as long as I don't get sick, which only happens a few times a week now. I only have to use the zofran minimally now. But oh my goodness, the heartburn and indigestion are out of control! Nothing really helps and I have heartburn all the time. I feel like i am starving all the time, but can barely eat from the lack of room and the burning. I am still in shock when I wake up, and can't believe she will be here in 3.5 months. It's amazing:) Everyday I show the kids and hubby how much bigger I am. They are so very excited, it makes me very happy to kow my family is looking forward to our new arrival. Today, week 26, starts the beginning of my 7th month. WOW, it's so wonderful. I am trying to enjoy this as much as I can, knowing this will be our last baby. My very good friend gave me a baby shower on my last day of school and at her house a few days later. It was small but very much appreciated. I recieved some much needed and beautiful items and had a blast being with great friends and family. Being pregnant in this summer heat isn't easy but I am a very happy momma and am overjoyed. I love you, Alexandra Kathleen and can't wait to see how beautiful I know you will be.
June 2nd Week 20 This week has been all about my baby girl kicking and kicking! She is a very active little squirt, and I love feeling her move, except when she kicks my bladder, lol. Still sick every few days, and bad headaches as well. It's all worth it though. :)
May 21st Week 19 It's a girl! We've decided to name her Alexandra Kathleen:) The ultrasound went great. I am a very happy mama!
May 20th Week 18 This week I had to put up with 100 degree temperatures! Being pregnant in the summer is going to be so hard. I have had really bad heartburn this week and the craziest dreams ever, some good, some bad. going to sleep is getting more difficult, it is so hard to get comfortable. My ultrasound is coming up and I can't wait. I really hope the baby cooperates, so we can find out the gender. Off to week 19! :)
May 13th Weeks 16 and 17 Well I haven't felt like writing much. The HG really has a hold on me and the Zofran is making me so tired, I can barely function. I missed school today:( Besides that, I am getting bigger and definetly look prego now. I am feeling the baby move all the time now. I am going for an ultrasound on the 21st. Hopefully my wittle babmbino/a will cooperate and show us whether it is a girl or boy!
April 28th Week 15 This week sure has had its ups and downs. I had an OB apt. with my new doc, and I think he's great. They changed my due date from the 11th to the 14th, only a few days later, so it's not that bad. We recorded the heartbeat and use it as my ringtone. Unfortunately most of this week was very trying. I had a headache for 4 days and was throwing up and nauseated everyday. Friday night is when things got bad, here's how it went: I
went to my room that night because I was feeling nauseated. I went to
close my curtains and a big bottle of sand fell on my leg and bounced
onto my foot. I immediately fell down in pain and watched as my leg and
foot swelled. Matt thought i broke my foot but I wasn't trying to go to
the emergency room, I wanted to wait till morning to see how I felt. So
I went to bed with my leg and foot on ice. I woke up Saturday morn with
a horrible pain in my stomach or intestines. It felt like my intestines
were twisted in a knot. I took a hot bath hoping it would help, but the
pain only got worse. I wanted to try to eat but was in too much pain. I
told Matt I'll wait to see if it clears up (thinking it could just be
bad gas or something like that) the pain tripled to the point of tears.
He called 911 a few minutes later after making arrangements for someone
to watch the kids. By the time the ambulance came (4-5 minutes later) I
was in severe pain, crying, and getting delirious. They took me in
ambulance with oxygen and IV to the ER. I had my lots of tests and was
given many meds, most I took did NOTHING for the pain. I was finally
given morphine, which was quite shocking. The staff new I was pregnant
and I was told it would be ok. Well,... the morphine did nothing, so
they gave me the strongest drug they had (equivelant to hospital grade
heroin. Finally I was out of pain. Soon after I started to throw up so
I was given med for nausea and vomiting, ...they didn't work. Finally
Zofran did the trick. After 3 ultrasounds (they wanted to give me a CAT
scan but said it was bad for the baby) all the tests came back normal.
I was off and on in pain and throwing up so i was admitted for more
tests and put on bed rest and a liquid diet. All the test were coming
back normal! The docs had no idea what was causing my pain so they
wanted to do exploratory surgery. 4:00 A.M. Sunday morning, I start
violently throwing up and a weirdish brown liquid came up. I thought,
Oh no blood, but the nurses said it was nothing and gave me some
Zofran. About 30 minutes later I notice, I am not in pain anymore. WOW
what a relief! So the surgery was never scheduled and I started begging
to go home. They got my vomiting under control and 36 hours later, I
was brought a bland disgusting lunch. I managed to choke the potatoes
and peaches down. I was getting close to being discharged:) So even
now, with half the pharmacy prescribed, I still don't know what caused
my pain. I would have rather been in labor, it hurt that bad. I am
going to take it easy, this Drug Cocktail Hangover is kicking my butt.
I'm glad to be alive and extremely happy to be home without having had
surgery and the baby is doing just fine. March 15th Week 10 My Morning Sickness is awful, I feel horrible. I will write more in a couple of days. Now I just want to sleep this nausea away:(
March 11th Week 9! Wow what a day. I had my first OB appt. today. That was stressful because I thought we would be able to hear the heartbeat with a doppler, well we couldn't. So I was left with the same feeling I've had all month, is it true?? Is it really for real, is there actually a baby in there?? The doc knew I was upset, so he offered an ultasound. I went for the ultrasound..........................and........................everything looks GREAT! The heartbeat is at 167 and I saw my wittle bambino swimming around:) I am the happiest Momma around! Today went from fear to the best happy tears ever! I am so happy:)
Ok I also wanted to make a list of all my symptoms lately:
* fatigue, no make that full blown exhaustion * splitting headaches * food aversions, don't like what I used to and like what I never did (weird) * superwoman sense of smell, and if it doesn't smell pretty, I will be gagging * sore bb's * mild cramping, feels like stretching and pulling * nauseated every so often, throw up in the morns and sometimes afternoon * serious constipation/ gas * always too hot or too cold * pimples (yuck) * discharge * nails and hair seem to be growing faster * MOOOODY! * feeling faint * stuffy nose I think that's all, I'll add more to this list if I have too.
February 28th Week 8! Today i woke up with the worst tummy problems, vitamins are really screwing with me. I wish I could go to the bathroom normally! I am so constipated it is making me feel sick. This morning I decided to take the day off because I am feeling really crappy. Nauseated, constipated, bloated, gassy and I can't function very well. YUCK Still looking forward to my first appt. with the OB, not till my 9th week though. I sang Happy 8th week bday. Gotta go, feel like I'm gonna throw up AGAIN:(
February 23th 7 weeks! Well it's seems to be true, although It's quite shocking still. According to my calculations I am 7 weeks pregnant. Matt thinks it is a boy (he was right with the last two). We shall see soon enough! I can't wait to hear or see a heartbeat. Had to reschedule my first OB appt., it was suppossed to be this coming Tuesday. Now we have to wait till the 11th! I know it is still early so all we can do is wait, so far the morning sickness has been minimal, just really tired, and sore bb's. I was very shocked when i found out. I have 2 kids (10 and 8) this preg is so different, My mother-in-law says it because its been 8 years since my body had to go through this. I have been sooo tired and moody. The morning sickness comes and goes, it's not as bad this time around, at least not yet~! I'll be writing more later:)
