His name is Aethon Thomas Nelson.

5w+4d...This is my first pregnancy :) I am happy, excited and a bit scared at the same time! I am looking foward to doing this week by week and can't wait til my little one gets here!

11w+6d...On the 21st I had my first ultrasound. Baby wasn `t moving around but had an arm up and looked like it was waving at us and just hanging out. We heard the heartbeat, 167 bpm. It was so exciting! I measure accurate to my date 8/8/08. Just 2 more visits and we find out the sex! Keeping fingers crossed for a boy, but would be happy with a healthy baby girl :)

15w+6d...So, we had an appt. on Monday, the 18th. Heartbeat was 157. I need to drink more water, Dr. said like a gallon a day! I am used to drinking no water (except in my ice cubes!), so this will be a challenge. No movement yet, thought maybe once, but unsure. We scheduled the u/s for St. Patty `s Day, 3/17. I can `t wait to find out what we `re having!

17w+4d...I never thought I would say this, but, I miss working! I have been so bored lately... I left my full time job with SEPHORA end of October to try freelancing & photoshoots for printwork on my own but it isn `t steady work. I am going to freelance for Prescriptives starting in April. I worked for them before, its a good line. I `m gonna need the spending money for baby :)We have 2 more weeks until we find out what we are having. We have a boy name picked out..... Aithen Thomas Nelson (Athon, Aethon~ not sure how we are gonna spell it yet?). We have thought of Nikki or Naomi for girl names.... I have a feeling its a boy though :)

I want pineapple, strawberries and gummi bears and everything bagels! mmmmm..... Having trouble sleeping. I find I still wake up on my stomach sometimes. I am having the hardest time sleeping on my side b/c my arm falls asleep! I don `t know what I am going to do...

IT `S A BOY!!! 19w+4d...We are so excited! Everyone has been saying `It `s going to be a girl ` because the heart rate was 167 & 157. The old wivestales aren `t always true!

20w+4d...I can `t believe I am half way! It has gone by so fast! I have gained 16 lbs. so far :( I freaked out this past weekend because my feet were swollen like balloons, I was on them all day! I am also starting to get a little uncomfortable when trying to sleep.....Aethon (we decided on this name for sure) has been moving around more these past 2 days, and that makes me happy.... I also have been getting the spare room organized for him, and I have bought so many things for him! Baby clothes are too cute!

27 weeks today...I am feeling a lot of movement. I am enjoying the pregnancy so far, but excited its almost over (less than 3 months!)... Its starting to get hot here, mid 90's already and probably going to hit 100 in a week. Thats what sucks about living in Arizona, but I would rather live in dry heat than humidity!!! I have my 3-D ultrasound and glucose screening on the 15th. I hope all goes well, I am afraid i gained like 10 more lbs. I have already gained 24, and i was pretty overweight to begin with.... The baby shower is set for June 21st. The theme is "Duckies".

28 weeks...I had my appointment, Glucose tolerance test, and ultrasound yesterday. I only gained a pound this past month, so up to 25 lb gain so far. It was so neat seeing him in 3D! He is 2lb 10oz. I found out during the follow up that my amniotic fluid levels are normal, but low-normal at 7.7 ( normal is 5-25). So the doctor told me to go in the pool 2x a day for 30 min each time and up the water intake. I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks. The glucose drink wasnt bad, it tasted kinda like a cold melted orange popcicle or flat orange soda. I chugged it in like 10 seconds! I fasted, hoping I could cheat the system and pass so I wouldnt have to do the 3 hour test. I got my labs back this afternoon from yesterdays visit. I have to go back Monday for the 3 hour test. I was also told that I am slightly anemic. I got Iron pills today. Went out to the pool like doctor told me to try to get more fluid in the amniotic sac. Also attempting to drink a gallon of water a day. I guess I'll see how this works out.

A can of cola as part of the 'liquids' you have to drink...it kept my baby moving, which in the end was good because he moved his legs so we could see he was a boy!

I know, I am so excited! At first, he was hoping for a boy and me a girl, but now we really don't care. We always thought that people were lying when they said that they didn't care, but we really don't. I would be happy with either, I just want to find out!!:)

Just wanted to stop by and say hi!! Hope you are feeling great!! I finally got to hear my bundle of joys' heartbeat on Monday, it was so exciting!! I made my u/s appt for March 10th, so I can't wait to find out what we are having!!! Hope you are having a fabulous day!!

We are neighbors!! We will have to keep in touch :o) How awesome you had your first u/s!! We don't get ours until March (18-20wks), but I am hoping we will get to hear the heartbeat at our next appt in a few weeks!! I'll keep ya posted!!
