Hi! I'm Jennifer. I'm 30 years old and this is my second pregnancy, although my last one ended in miscarriage. Everything seems to be going great this time around. Because of my previous miscarriage I had an early ultrasound at 7w4days and the baby measured right on schedule with a heartbeat of 153. I am counting down the days until this trimester ends so that I can start getting really excited and start shopping! I am an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist.

I've made it to week 11! And I feel horrible. Other than getting a red, itchy rash that was diagnosed as PUPPP in week 7, these are the most challenging symptoms I've had. Nausea, heartburn, sensitivity to smell, headaches, fatigue and just generally feeling awful. I know it's for a good cause though! I took the Intelligender gender prediction kit earlier this week and it said...girl! We'll see.

Made it through to week 12 and I'm feeling....okay. Seems like a bit of my energy is coming back but I'm definitely not up to normal yet. Weather here is getting so much nicer and I have been able to hike after work almost everyday. Been listening to the heartbeat on doppler daily! Kind of afraid I'm over-doing it so I think that I will return it to the rental place soon. I can't resist it when it's here so I might as well give it back.

well.. I went on craigslist and cant find anything afforable! One lady wanted $42 PER diaper and they were USED! I was like... ummm hi, 5 person family on ONE oncome, NOT gonna happen lady!! lol... I know at walmart.com you can 5 kushies for $45 and so far thats the cheapest I can find, but since were diapering TWO babies... I really needed something cheaper. and the hunt continues. lol...

I havent felt any movment either. I am sure that we will both feel it in a few weeks. If the placenta is in the front ,then it is harder to feel movemnt. I wouldn't worry. My Dr. said to start worrying after weeks 22 . Hope that I have helped

hahaha, I can imagine if you aren't thinking of having children...watching one be born will probably make you NEVER want one. LOL

If you keep it where you don't get the gorry parts, it's very enjoyable. I don't want to see my yucky stuff or anyone elses. I had the option for the mirror so I could watch and I was like, uhhh, no thanks! Didn't want the kid put on my stomach after it was born either. Specifically told the dr to clean her up, wrap her up and then I'll take her. I don't like the yuck part.

Congratulations!!!

Yes. I'm definitely getting extreme fatigue still. I thought that would stop by now at this stage, but I guess not. But I rather be sleepy all the time then getting sick. I missed the morning sickness so all I've had through this pregnancy is extreme fatigue. I'm not complaining cuz it could be worse. Lots of Baby dust to you!!

Jennifer- I have no idea how I came across your page but I did....
and wanted to tell you congratulations! I am soo sorry for your previous loss but I'm very happy for you.... that you've got a healthy little one now! I miscarried at the first of the month and because my levels were so low right after.... my husband and I started ttc again this month. I have 7 more days until testing.... so I'm hoping to be as fortunate as you. :) Congrats again and I hope you have a wonderful second tri-mester.

Oh, yeah, me too! I can't wait to buy something for my lil lemon. My gf gave me a bag of clothes on Friday and two of the cutest books! Since I'm due in Oct she just went shopping on the clearance racks and got me some 0-3 and 3 mos winter/Christmas jammies...so adorable and soft! The good thing is that either a boy or girl could wear them. I bought her daughter a book for her baby shower called my Little Lovebug (I think). It plays the sweetest music while you read it. So she got me the same one and one other by the same author. I'm so excited now! I can't wait to start buying more and decorate the baby's room!

that's an incredible medical plan!

i took valerie's course. it is amazing. i love her. it will be perfect for your pregnancy!

my name is rachel fisher. i was a TA at SWAC for about a year. maybe you were in a class? i practice at jade mountain health, which is andrew maloney's clinic.

shinygirl - Wednesday, 23 April
wow! the first and only person i click on to comment lives in evergreen and is an acupuncturist and went to SWAC! i went there and graduated in 2004. i have a practice in boulder. i have been seeing the acupuncturist molly greacen almost every week for my morning (all day!) sickness. i have been taking a formula called An Tai Yin by Sun Ten everyday.

we are giving birth at the nurse midwives program at the boulder foothills hospital. it's super cool. every room has a jacuzzi!

shinygirl - Wednesday, 23 April
hi jennifer! i clicked on your comment about the 8 pond weight gain, and see that you are an acupuncturist, too! we also have the same due date! i have gained 15 pounds (!) and it is totally normal. every baby has different needs and some of us gain more in the beginning. i never threw up in the first trimester either. my acupuncturist has me eating parsley and daikon radish to reduce water retention. do you know that you can tell the sex from the pulses?

jblueyes17 - Wednesday, 23 April
So your u/s is actually just a few days b4 mine. No, I don't think it's too soon...some people found out at 15 weeks! I can't wait! Are you guys gonna find out the sex?
My gf had back acne really bad, it stayed throughout the entire pregnancy unfortunately. So far, I'm good in that dept. :)
I know what you mean, I'm finally getting my house back in order!
Can't wait to start the baby's room!

jblueyes17 - Tuesday, 22 April
Hey there! How are you? How's everything going? I'm good, great actually! Had another appt yesterday...next month is the big one! can't wait! when will you have your next u/s? Are you gonna fins out the sex?

aubstja - Thursday, 17 April
Thanks! Honestly, me too:) I am worried I will go to my appointment next week and there will be no heartbeat or something dreadful. The last appt. I had was at 9 weeks, and I had an ultra sound and things were fine. Thanks again, and take care!

roxannie - Tuesday, 15 April

alishaB - Thursday, 10 April
Thank you! I looove my acupuncture! I really think thats how I got preggers. Yeah there are a lot of cloth diapers to chose from thankfully but I will tell u why I think fuzzi's are the best....most cloth diapers have velcro tabs and there are two problems with that. 1. You have to buy more because they are only adjustable to a point. 2. When you wash them they really lose their stick which can make them fall off or become lose. The fuzzi Bunz have snaps so they will never get loose and they are adjustable. Good luck in finding the best one's for you! And many many congrats on your pregnancy:)

jblueyes17 - Wednesday, 9 April
Well like 6 other people commented and said they are feeling the same way, so we're not totally alone. That's what's nice about this site...you get so many opinions and points of view. Everyone reacts differently to pregnancy so if you ask your friend and they look at you like your crazy, you feel crazy! Here at least there are so many girls that someone is bound to relate to you! :)

Julia- - Tuesday, 8 April
You and your huband are a bautiful couple, I hpe your pregnancy goes well!

Good Luck- Julia

roxannie - Tuesday, 8 April
I have to sit all day at work so i have been uncomfortable for a few weeks especially when i am bloated..but when i am standing you can hardly tell..I ended up buying maternity pants in a very small size so that the waist has the strecthy stuff and is comfy but its not too baggy anywhere else
