I'm Jennifer and I am 26 yrs old. I married my husband Tony, July 9, 2005. We are expecting our first baby July 8, 2008.
Birth Story
My bundle came on July 8, 2008 at 1:32 p.m., she weighed in at 6 lbs 2 oz and was 18 3/4 inches long. We went in at 6am to be induced, by 7:30am I was well on my way. Around 1 pm I was checked and had dialated to 4cm, but there had been several drops in Kayleigh's heart rate. The doctor decided that if it happened one more time he was going to do an emergency C-section. Well, thats exactly what happened. We were rushed in for a C-section and she came less than 15 minutes later. Her heart rate was dropping due to the cord being around her neck and foot. I didn't get to see her until 3:30 pm, which was very upseting to me. All of my family had been watching her every move and I had only laid eyes on her once for all of 10 seconds! Once I was united with my baby again it almost didn't feel like she was mine. Although I knew she was, if for no other reason than she looks just like her Daddy! Of course now I know she is all mine! She is the most beautiful girl I have ever looked at. I had no idea I could love someone this much. She is my HEART!!!

Today is the DAY!!! I am on my way to be induced. I am a little nervous, but I know I will be super nervous in a little bit. Please pray that all goes well.
June 11th
Went to the doctor today! I am dialated to a 1 and 50% efaced. Although that doesn't mean it will be this week, but she is coming!! Can't wait!!!
May 6th
We have had non-stop hiccups for days. I think she may hiccup herself right out of the womb. lol I hope this doesn't mean she will have them a lot when she is born. I just think it is horrible when you have hiccups, especially an infant who can't do anything about it.
April 29th
Normal check-up today. I have gained 5 lbs. in 3 weeks!! WOW! At least the total is only 8 lbs. so far, but I don't have a big belly like I would like to have. The diabetes test came back good, sweet tea for me! :) Kayleigh was doing great today as well. Her heart rate was 135 bpm and she has aready engaged to head first. Let's hope she stays that way.
April 11th
I had my 3 hour gluclose test yesterday. Boy that was an awful experience. I had to drink double the nasty stuff that I did on the 8th, had to have blood drawn 4 times, and on top of that I was STARVING!!! Today my arms look like I am a Heroine addict! I didn't get the results yesterday, so I am hoping that it will be good news on Monday. I decided yesterday to drink my sweet tea and have a couple of sweets just in case this is the last time for a while!
April 8th

Had my sugar test today and bad news for me! I now have to go get the 3 hour test to see if I am diabetic. Pray that I am not because you can't take SWEET TEA from a southern girl! :) I also got that wonderful RH- shot, right in the behind!! I had way too many sticks today!! Other than that Kayleigh and I are great. We measured fine and still no weight gain, which is good for me. Less for me to get rid of!

Since our last Dr. visit Kayleigh has been kicking non stop. I had just told the Dr. I didn't think she had been moving as much lately, and of course she proves me wrong by kicking the Dr. as she was trying to listen to her heartbeat. She told us that she would have lazy days and active days. As soon as Kayleigh heard this she has decided to be ACTIVE day and night! Tony and I are loving being able to feel as see her so much now.

We had our check up today and it seems that I am already ready to start the 2 week check ups now. Time is flying by so quickly. I have only gained 2 lbs, but am measuring 24 1/2. They say this is right on schedule and I should definetly be doing a lot of growing soon! I can't wait, I have finally started to look pregnant.

I felt hiccups from Kayleigh for the 1st time today. It was so amazing. They lasted almost 20 minutes and that is an awful long time to have your belly jumping every couple of seconds.
Feb. 29th
Daddy felt his first "BIG KICK" from Kayleigh last night. Usually when he puts his hand on my tummy she quits moving, but last night she decided to give it a little bit extra. His hands were cold so this may have been her trying to stay warm and cozy! He thought it was amazing so, I hope she keeps it up so he can enjoy with me. You can also see my tummy move when she kicks. We get a lot of joy trying to catch it since it happens so quick.

It's A Girl!!!

Kayleigh Rose

Everything looked good on the U/S. She did a lot of practice breathing and swallowing. They told us she was about 12 ounces and 10 inches long.

I think my little one is doing his/her best to make me as anxious as possible. Last week the kicks were starting to feel a lot stronger and a lot more of them. Every time I feel a little kick I can't help but think of the upcoming ultrasound! I think I may go nuts before Thursday. I will not leave that doctors office until I know what I am having!! Pray that the baby decides to show it off.
Feb. 8th
2 weeks exactly until we go for our next ultrasound. Up until this point it has felt as if we were at the doctor's office every other day, now it's taking forever! We are both excited to find out what we are having and getting some great new baby pictures!
Jan. 25th
We decided not to do any of the genetic testing today. It doesn't matter to us because it's out little miracle! I have only gained 1 lb and still no belly. We also found out that we will find out the sex of our baby at our next visit Feb. 21st. I think I will be the only woman to not look pregnant when she finds out the sex of her baby.
Jan. 22nd
I felt one little flutter after eating dinner tonight. It was so quick that I didn't have time to realize what was happening.
Dec. 28th
My birthday! We got to hear the heart beat today. The best present of all!
Dec. 12th
We got to get an unexpected ultrasound today. I had some light bleeding at work and decided to go to the doctor. They did an ultrasound just to make sure everything was ok. Which it was! Big changes from the last ultrasound.
Nov. 28th
Our first ultrasound! We are 8 weeks 2 days and saw the heart beating! It was amazing!!!! Everyone is calling our baby "lima bean", since that's what it looks like right now.
Nov. 16th
Our first visit to the doctor. Our baby is due July 8, 2008.
