It's Twins!!

I found out in the ER. I had a minor car accident and decided to get checked out since I knew that I was pregnant. When they took me back for the ultrasound the lady asked did I already know that I had two babies in there?? I said WHAT? 2?? I am so excited. They are identical and do share the same sac but do have thier own amnions. I have a four year old little boy named Dylan and he is very excited. He says they are Girls.....I find out Jully 11th the sex of the babies and I am super excited!! I am just very scared about the risks. I will keep everyone updated on each doctors visit. Keep me in your prayers. GOOD LUCK TO ALL YOU MOTHER'S OUT THERE!!!

05/28/2008 13 weeks

Well....I went to see my ob today and I got see my babies, I was so scared because I had lost so many of my symptoms but he assured me that it was because I was now going into the 2nd trimester. They both looked great and there hearts are so strong. I was very excited to leave the dr with good news. I was scheduled to see a specialist because he can not find the membrane anymore but he has seen it he just wants to make sure. So I Guess thats okay I will get to see them more often and maybe when I go in three weeks they can see boy parts and I can find out early....I will keep you all posted, Good luck again to all mother and the ones TTC

06/03/08 14 weeks

I had my appt today with the peri and all went well.....they found the mebrane but it is very thin, so they are def identical and they are right on track with growth. The best part is that they did not see any penis and he said that if he had to take a guess they are GIRLS!!! Yeah!! I am trying not to get to excited incase they see a penis in three weeks...lol I have a four year old son so girls would be great!! I am just glad they look good and so far are healthy!!! God bless all you guys out there........

17 weeks

at my appt today with the peri he said that we are having two girls we have there names picked out and baby a is hailey nichole and baby b is alleya marie. they both weigh about 7 oz and look great but there were two things that caught his eye one was that it looked like the membranne between the two was collapsing and that one had a fuller bladder than the other,,,,,,ttts i am so scared he did not say that I have it at this point he said that it could be the start of it. He wants me to come back on sunday while he is on call at the hospital and he is going to do a quick us and determine what we are going to do to save our babies lives, I am praying that it has stabalized and never turned into ttts please pray for me and my family......all i want is my two little girls here and safe!!!

22 Weeks

Well....So far we are doing great! My peri thinks that my surgery was a sucsess. My babies are a pound a piece and seem to be doing wonderful. I feel movment all day long I can even lay on the couch and watch them move. I have started my shopping this week because the dr seems to think that I will not make it to 36 weeks but he say we will make it....So I am guessing around 32 to 34 weeks. With TTTS you dont go to full term with twins. well some do, I am praying that I am part of that some. I have learned through this preganncy that miracles can happen and do happen you just have to have faith in the good lord above. My girls are truly miracles. I was diagnosed with TTTS at 16 weeks and Had surgery at 18 weeks and I am now going on 23 Weeks.

Yes. My peri's office called me around 2:30pm today. They told me that all of my reports have been sent to Philadelphia and that they have reviewed them. Both the specialists in PA and my peri want to wait until my ultrasound on tuesday before a decision is made. We can however call the care coordinator in PA and have her explain EVERYTHING to us so that we're prepared if and when we get the news. I also have an email out to a Dr. Julian De Lia he is the inventor of the laser surgery and he is still practicing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has been doing them since 1988 and obviously has the most experience, and as a result his success rates are a bit higher than others. It's just an idea, but I'd rather have the best than the closest. I asked for his opinions and if I could have my reports sent to him and be a possible candidate as his patient. A second opinion can't hurt, right? He also has a deep faith in God and prays with his patients before and after surgery. From his patients' testimonies it truly seems as if God works through him and that is very importnant to us because at the end of the day, science is not enough. Let me know what you think of me asking for a second opinion? You can also google his name, he's all over the place. Thanks for checking in on me! It makes me feel soo much better!

Thank you for geting back to me so quickly! I am 18 weeks 3 days today. I go back to the peri in one week...however I get the "verdict" from the children's hospital sometime today and we could be packing our bags by tonight. So I could be seeing a doctor well before a week is up. Does the laser proceudre hurt? Are you sedated? How long are you in recovery for? This hospital bosts a 67% percent survival rate for both babies and an 80% survival for one. If we do nothing and let nature take its course then death seems iminent for both, this doesn't often just 'fix itself'. Thank you for your support, you are the only person I know that has been through this. Any and all you have to say I will take to heart!!!

Hey there,
I went to the peri today and I think i'm in the same boat as you were. Baby B has less fluid around it than Baby A and it's bladder is smaller too. All of my info is being sent to Philadelphia Children's Hospital, supposedly they are ground breaking in TTTS laser surgery. They will decide if it is serious enough yet or if I should hold off on the surgery. I will know by tomorrow whether or not we have to pack our bags and go. I am so scared. How did you get through this?

Sorry, I certainly didn't mean to worry anyone...just been too darn busy. They are telling me my due date is Nov.10th (and I've been saying Nov.17th all along - even at ultrasounds which probably didn't help with their numbers...ooops). What are biophysicals?
I am doing the girls room in light green with a woodlands them (moose, bears, raccoons, etc) and I am doing accents in browns, pinks and whites.
They're names are Abbey Dawn and Aida Margaret. We were going to stay away from names that start with the same letter but fell in love with them and have started calling them by name so it's set now.
Have a wonderful time at your shower!! It should be great. I read the news article on your profile...awesome!! It make me cry a few times, but tears of happiness!

I'm back. I got my internet today...finally...yahoo!! I have a lot of catching up to do. I don't go to the doctor until next week so I'm going to get her to verify their weights but she said something like one was about 2 lb 3 oz and the other was around 3 lb. Which was their concern (the weight difference) but after two trips to the hospital and many tests later both seem to be getting enough nutrients and blood flow and each of them is growing steadily. It looks like one is just smaller than the other. Hopefully she'll catch up. They also informed me that I was off on my due date. I guess at some point the doctor changed it but never told me. Crazy.
We've moved into our new place now and are going to start getting the babies room ready this weekend. I can't wait.
How are you feeling? I noticed that I'm starting to grunt when I move around a lot more!!

threw my whole preg my girl is on bottom layin down and my boy is on top layin down but never laid upright position on every altrasound its been the same and my boy has stronger kicks then my girl which is lower i can tell easily .. the doc or u think ull b delivering early? if so how early? c-section or vaginally u think? every1 thinks ill b havin a c section just cuz both r alwayz layin down and twins normially r csection but dunno yet
