04/22/2008 8 weeks

It's Twins!!

I found out in the ER. I had a minor car accident and decided to get checked out since I knew that I was pregnant. When they took me back for the ultrasound the lady asked did I already know that I had two babies in there?? I said WHAT? 2?? I am so excited. They are identical and do share the same sac but do have thier own amnions. I have a four year old little boy named Dylan and he is very excited. He says they are Girls.....I find out Jully 11th the sex of the babies and I am super excited!! I am just very scared about the risks. I will keep everyone updated on each doctors visit. Keep me in your prayers. GOOD LUCK TO ALL YOU MOTHER'S OUT THERE!!!

05/28/2008 13 weeks

Well....I went to see my ob today and I got see my babies, I was so scared because I had lost so many of my symptoms but he assured me that it was because I was now going into the 2nd trimester. They both looked great and there hearts are so strong. I was very excited to leave the dr with good news. I was scheduled to see a specialist because he can not find the membrane anymore but he has seen it he just wants to make sure. So I Guess thats okay I will get to see them more often and maybe when I go in three weeks they can see boy parts and I can find out early....I will keep you all posted, Good luck again to all mother and the ones TTC

06/03/08 14 weeks

I had my appt today with the peri and all went well.....they found the mebrane but it is very thin, so they are def identical and they are right on track with growth. The best part is that they did not see any penis and he said that if he had to take a guess they are GIRLS!!! Yeah!! I am trying not to get to excited incase they see a penis in three weeks...lol I have a four year old son so girls would be great!! I am just glad they look good and so far are healthy!!! God bless all you guys out there........

17 weeks

at my appt today with the peri he said that we are having two girls we have there names picked out and baby a is hailey nichole and baby b is alleya marie. they both weigh about 7 oz and look great but there were two things that caught his eye one was that it looked like the membranne between the two was collapsing and that one had a fuller bladder than the other,,,,,,ttts i am so scared he did not say that I have it at this point he said that it could be the start of it. He wants me to come back on sunday while he is on call at the hospital and he is going to do a quick us and determine what we are going to do to save our babies lives, I am praying that it has stabalized and never turned into ttts please pray for me and my family......all i want is my two little girls here and safe!!!

22 Weeks

Well....So far we are doing great! My peri thinks that my surgery was a sucsess. My babies are a pound a piece and seem to be doing wonderful. I feel movment all day long I can even lay on the couch and watch them move. I have started my shopping this week because the dr seems to think that I will not make it to 36 weeks but he say we will make it....So I am guessing around 32 to 34 weeks. With TTTS you dont go to full term with twins. well some do, I am praying that I am part of that some. I have learned through this preganncy that miracles can happen and do happen you just have to have faith in the good lord above. My girls are truly miracles. I was diagnosed with TTTS at 16 weeks and Had surgery at 18 weeks and I am now going on 23 Weeks.

Check out my blogs for more pregancy updates!!

wow that was creepy...im so anxious to ask my doctor and/or the perinatalogist why i havent been having bi weekly apts, cuz i forsure wouldnt mind them at all :)....if he still thinks its not necessary i can least be a lil at ease since i work on a mother/baby L&D floor and the ER at a smaller hospital so i can have ultrasounds anytime i feel unsure just to put my mind at ease:) thanks for the post, it taught me more about all that and made me be more aware of the entire subject

I wonder if it will ever not make me cry when I hear another story. I never heard the statistic that it kills 2200 babies a year, that sends chills down my spine. My god I am so lucky ...

hows it going this week? i'm feeling good, rested. i went to the dr, all is good. i've lost 2 lbs, but theyre not worried since my overall gain is good. go back for an ultrasound next week and then start non stress test. are you doing those yet or at all. oh we declined the test that you were asking about. we read with twins it gives a lot of false positives. anyways, hope youre well, let me know how youre doing. oh yeah, what are you measuring? i am 42cm!

Awww - have a great shower! Babies born 28 weeks have a 90% survival rate which is huge and their chances of having major issues from prematurity also goes way down. ie like their chances of having a grade 3 or 4 brain bleed (the ones that cause long term effects) go way down etc. Only 4 more weeks to week 32 woohoo - your doing so well!

mommy2bmay08 - Thursday, 4 September
Hey Just checking in on you! I see you are in week 27 - way to go Mama! Almost at the major goal of 28 weeks eh? Let me know how u and the girls are doing! I am going to try and post some pics of my girls later today. Hope all is well : )

Hi,
Sorry, we've been so busy with everything. We're in the midst of moving and I just finished work then the stuff with the girls. We go back to the hospital on Thursday to do all the detailed tests again so I feel good knowing they are watching us closely. I guess it's just wait and see. They keep telling me I may see my babies sooner than I had thought and while I'm so excited to meet them I really hope I can hold out a few more weeks. They are both still moving around a lot and hiccup a lot (which the doctor said is a good sign). I just need them to grow a bit more...fingers crossed. I am trying to remain positive and hope for the best outcome possible. I just don't want to spend too much time up in the NICU getting to know them! : (
I'll try to keep you more updated as life slows down here a bit.
Take care of you and the babes.
XO

i know what you mean bc its enough just being a first time mom but now theres 2 and i feel clueless...im hoping everything is okay but i have been seeing a trend that alot of others go bi-weekly....i really dont think he sees a ton, he sends me to the perinatalolgist now before every visit then goes by his report, so i have no idea lol

lilrhy87 - Tuesday, 2 September
over all i feel fine, i could sleep the whole day away but other than that fine. it is a lil hard gettin use to the extra baggage since ive always been tall and skinny so when its harder to get up and run around im like woah...every apt i go to a perinatal diagnostic center then right after that u/s i see my reg doctor in a diff building but he hasnt said much to us other than yea they share a placenta and there same size so far...but that was back on aug 11. i go again on sept 10th..so im wondering if he will change anything?? ive had to go to the er once for bad vomiting and headache, and he didnt have much to say at the follow up apt from that other than to go to 8 hr shifts at work b/c im a full time student...i guess i just freak out alot bc i work in a hospital with a l&d and i just wanna know everything possible at all times and he hasnt said much...he did say that if atleast 1 baby was head down we could try vag. but in ways i think a c section would make it all so much easier...i just cant see my self going thru labor and pushing even tho i heard they deliver mins apart...i feel like a whimp but i just want it to be a happy time, and if im this scared about everything i cant imagine how all that will feel...this is my first preg so i believe thats normal :)

olga777 - Tuesday, 2 September
yes it is because there is not much room for them to jump around anymore! So they just stick out their legs or hands here and there sometimes ;) so don't worry and I bet you see your doctor and have u/s more often now especially at this stage and with twins so I am sure he check the heart beats every time also ;) Good Luck!

lilrhy87 - Tuesday, 2 September
man,i cant imagine what 28-30 weeks will feel like...what has your doctor said about delivery...it has wworrried me silly thinking about it, or is it too early to tell??? im dying to get to that point were i know somewhat what is going to happen...im a very small person so i just wish i had some type of insight of how low ill be able to go...i only go to the doctor monthy so im wondering if and when that will change...i count down the days to go, ive never been so excited about goin to a doctor lol

themommyofangels - Monday, 1 September
staying positive is the only way i dont drive myself nuts! lol. if i let my self think negative all the time i would be locked up in the house with my legs up! i had the cerclage and im taking my shots... right now things are looking good. i have doc appts every 2 weeks... and i can only hope for the best... prepare for the possibilities and have my emotions ready for the worst...

i know when u get pregnant its not a gaurantee... n even when u give birth it doesnt mean ur baby is comming home... im scared out of my mind girl! i wont even lie! but im trying my best! i have faith in God... and pray to my little angels in heaven to protect their brother and help mommy get through this pregnancy!...

Hi, i'm having the same worries as he doesn't feel as active as he was last week, I still feel him move though, and everyone is telling me not to worry as they have quiet days, but I'm still going to mention it to my midwife on Wed just incase. I know this doesn't help you out but I thought I'll let you know your not alone. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well. x

havingagirl - Monday, 1 September
my baby does not kick hard or anything, to me it seems she does not kick so much now. she actually just did before i read your comment haha. but i use to feel her every morning, through out the day, and every night.
i still do feel her, just not as often, or as hard. i think its all normal. i was just saying yesterday it is hard to believe there is a baby in there im not even that big so she has no room. so i think they kick less as you get bigger, but i dont know.i think everything is fine. i have a doc app wednesday so i am going to mention her movement is less.
