04/22/2008 8 weeks

It's Twins!!

I found out in the ER. I had a minor car accident and decided to get checked out since I knew that I was pregnant. When they took me back for the ultrasound the lady asked did I already know that I had two babies in there?? I said WHAT? 2?? I am so excited. They are identical and do share the same sac but do have thier own amnions. I have a four year old little boy named Dylan and he is very excited. He says they are Girls.....I find out Jully 11th the sex of the babies and I am super excited!! I am just very scared about the risks. I will keep everyone updated on each doctors visit. Keep me in your prayers. GOOD LUCK TO ALL YOU MOTHER'S OUT THERE!!!

05/28/2008 13 weeks

Well....I went to see my ob today and I got see my babies, I was so scared because I had lost so many of my symptoms but he assured me that it was because I was now going into the 2nd trimester. They both looked great and there hearts are so strong. I was very excited to leave the dr with good news. I was scheduled to see a specialist because he can not find the membrane anymore but he has seen it he just wants to make sure. So I Guess thats okay I will get to see them more often and maybe when I go in three weeks they can see boy parts and I can find out early....I will keep you all posted, Good luck again to all mother and the ones TTC

06/03/08 14 weeks

I had my appt today with the peri and all went well.....they found the mebrane but it is very thin, so they are def identical and they are right on track with growth. The best part is that they did not see any penis and he said that if he had to take a guess they are GIRLS!!! Yeah!! I am trying not to get to excited incase they see a penis in three weeks...lol I have a four year old son so girls would be great!! I am just glad they look good and so far are healthy!!! God bless all you guys out there........

17 weeks

at my appt today with the peri he said that we are having two girls we have there names picked out and baby a is hailey nichole and baby b is alleya marie. they both weigh about 7 oz and look great but there were two things that caught his eye one was that it looked like the membranne between the two was collapsing and that one had a fuller bladder than the other,,,,,,ttts i am so scared he did not say that I have it at this point he said that it could be the start of it. He wants me to come back on sunday while he is on call at the hospital and he is going to do a quick us and determine what we are going to do to save our babies lives, I am praying that it has stabalized and never turned into ttts please pray for me and my family......all i want is my two little girls here and safe!!!

22 Weeks

Well....So far we are doing great! My peri thinks that my surgery was a sucsess. My babies are a pound a piece and seem to be doing wonderful. I feel movment all day long I can even lay on the couch and watch them move. I have started my shopping this week because the dr seems to think that I will not make it to 36 weeks but he say we will make it....So I am guessing around 32 to 34 weeks. With TTTS you dont go to full term with twins. well some do, I am praying that I am part of that some. I have learned through this preganncy that miracles can happen and do happen you just have to have faith in the good lord above. My girls are truly miracles. I was diagnosed with TTTS at 16 weeks and Had surgery at 18 weeks and I am now going on 23 Weeks.

Check out my blogs for more pregancy updates!!

How`s my pregnancy doing?

I started to feel them around 16 weeks but not much and it was hard to tell but they were there. Slowly every day I feel them more and more. I worry sometimes when I feel nothing but then they'll go crazy. Sadly though, I can't tell who is who. The one of the left (the bigger of the two) used to be the mover and the shaker but now the smaller one (right side) does all the moving. I don't know if they're moving or shifting around but it's getting me confused. But they sure can kick harder now!! I can even see them when I watch my tummy.

No, mine were always like aroung 4-5 I think, more of low normal I think. I had surgery at The fetal Care Center in Cincinatti Ohio, they were awesome! I wonder whaqt would make the fluid too much in both? What do they say about that? Do they worry as long as they are still about equal for each baby? Keep me updated.

The babies are still good. Can't say the same for me, I am so done and feeling so uncomfortable and miserable now! Lots of contractions and I've started losing my plug so hopefully these babies will make their appearance in the next few weeks :)We hav an u/s tomorrow to check blood flows and fluid levels so hopefully that will be all good. Let me know how your girls look on Thursday. What are you 21 weeks now? 3 more weeks until you hit the first milestone? You're doing good Mama!

yes! it looks like an alien pod! yesterday my little girl was having a total fit after school. shes not napping and getting hysterically tired...but its like the boys heard her. we were laying on the couch and they boys were moving around you could totally see them, my daughter was loving it! hows your little guy doing? is he excited for two little sisters? have you started your nursery?

durangomama - Tuesday, 22 July
thanks lady! i'm such a spaz! some guy told me my hair was so dark it looked blue, so i started dying it lighter then darker now the lighter is too light

hopefulmom2b - Tuesday, 22 July
They all kind of ran together. Like I said before, the added layer of foam for the bed was a lifesaver, so was my computer! Physically I did pretty good. I did pee all the time and had pressure in my pubic bone later on. What kind of stuff is going on with you?

durangomama - Monday, 21 July
cool, glad you got to see that. i couldnt believe the innovative technology that the drs like your had! its amazing what they can do now.

dlei - Monday, 21 July
Thanks so much...twin girls - wow! Either gender would have been amazing though.
How are you three doing? I think about you often and send good wishes your way. What a journey...just think how amazing those two little girls are!!

Isn't that ok as long as the membrane is still attached and it is just a hole? Or does that mean the hole can get too big with no membrane between anymore? They actually used to treat ttts by doing that i think it was called a septosomy or something. is the doc worried about it?

mommy2bmay08 - Saturday, 19 July
Why would that make them have so much fluid? Or is it that they are measuring the same pocket for each? I hope for your sake that you have GD - as wierd as that is to wish on someone!! But that at least is easily looked after and doesn't hurt the babies. You poor thing. Glad to hear your amnio was normal that's one less thing to worry about! Keep me posted.

mommy2bmay08 - Friday, 18 July
I have no idea? Did they check their kidneys or everything else and does everything else look good? Sorry, our concern has always been not enough fluid. I just googled it and one site said fifths disease which is a common virus (nothing to worry about) that just goes away on its own. Are they going to check you for diabetes? What are they going to do about it? Can they do an amnio reduction? Did they do that when you had the surgery? When I had mine they sent in my fluid for an amnio just to check everything from minor issues to major ones so we could have our minds put at ease - did they do that? I know it is impossible but try not to stress too much until they actually diagnose a problem. From what I have realized is that every week it is so up and down and the roller coaster never goes away. You just get tired of hearing the bad stuff. Look at me - every week it is something else and yet they are still healthy and still cooking!

I just checked discovery health here and the Canadian channel is not showing it! I am so mad. I am going to see if I can download it off the internet after. Thanks

mommy2bmay08 - Friday, 18 July
Hey, no i haven't heard that. I know GD is more common in twin+ pregnancies. Are they sending you for an early glucose test? Also, our babies' fluid really changes from week to week. This week Abbey's is really low again but she has a 2 cm pocket which is considered normal and Charley's was 10 cm which is more than normal. My docs are still saying they are not worried about it as the babies are also doing great. Blood flows are normal etc. This week Abbey has almost caught up to her sister!!! She wieghs 4lb 3 oz and Charley weighs 4 lb 6.5 oz. They told me that if at 35 - 36 weeks Abbey's fluid is low still they will most likely induce me then (if I haven't gone on my own) otherwise if I am still pregnant between week 36 and 37 they will induce me before I hit 37 weeks.
Try not to stress too much about the fluid. Other than that how are you doing?

Glad to know I'm not the only one! She came over yesterday just to drop off some peaches and then left!? There had to be a reason, because she came by after work and we don't live anywhere close to being on her way home. It was very odd. She joked about whether they were back on their schedule. I didn't think it was too funny. I am so glad she has another grandchild who is 3 months old and just lives around the corner! I'm going to try and not let her bother me and set ground rules!

How are you doing? How many weeks are you now? Are you being followed weekly?

hopefulmom2b - Monday, 14 July
It was good to get out of the house. the boys did great! But, I am so glad to be home. I made the mistake of inviting my sister-in-law and her husband and 11 wk old to go for the whole week and the in-laws who were there from Wed to Sunday. They are sweet, but I feel like they judge me. They don't understand that you can't do things with twins like you would a single child. My mother-in-law kept giving them a pacifier all the time when I told them I don't want to use pacifiers because I would be the one up all night putting pacifiers back in mouths! My sister-in-laws child has one in her mouth all day! I felt like my mother-in-law would do things to directly go against my wishes! Like she is the expert! I hate to tell her that she has never raised twins! I'm not saying it's hard, it's just different. You have to stay on a schedule. By the end of the week she had the boys eating one hour apart! That makes for over 2 hours of feeding and getting them back to bed in the middle of the night! Needless to say, I have been very diligent today to get them back on schedule!

Sorry to bitch! I was just trying to be nice by asking everyone, but i should have just left it as my husband and I.

Glad to hear you are doing good! Keep up the good work!Just remember not to try and do too much! Your job is just to keep those girls in there as long as possible! Let everybody help who offers!!!

hopefulmom2b - Monday, 14 July
I leaked fluid the week after surgery from where it had leak out after surgery and had collected around the outside of the actual amnioc sac. They could see it on ultrasound before I actually leaked. Yes they balled up.

How are you? I'm sorry I've been out of town this week without access to a computer!
