It's Twins!!

I found out in the ER. I had a minor car accident and decided to get checked out since I knew that I was pregnant. When they took me back for the ultrasound the lady asked did I already know that I had two babies in there?? I said WHAT? 2?? I am so excited. They are identical and do share the same sac but do have thier own amnions. I have a four year old little boy named Dylan and he is very excited. He says they are Girls.....I find out Jully 11th the sex of the babies and I am super excited!! I am just very scared about the risks. I will keep everyone updated on each doctors visit. Keep me in your prayers. GOOD LUCK TO ALL YOU MOTHER'S OUT THERE!!!

05/28/2008 13 weeks

Well....I went to see my ob today and I got see my babies, I was so scared because I had lost so many of my symptoms but he assured me that it was because I was now going into the 2nd trimester. They both looked great and there hearts are so strong. I was very excited to leave the dr with good news. I was scheduled to see a specialist because he can not find the membrane anymore but he has seen it he just wants to make sure. So I Guess thats okay I will get to see them more often and maybe when I go in three weeks they can see boy parts and I can find out early....I will keep you all posted, Good luck again to all mother and the ones TTC

06/03/08 14 weeks

I had my appt today with the peri and all went well.....they found the mebrane but it is very thin, so they are def identical and they are right on track with growth. The best part is that they did not see any penis and he said that if he had to take a guess they are GIRLS!!! Yeah!! I am trying not to get to excited incase they see a penis in three weeks...lol I have a four year old son so girls would be great!! I am just glad they look good and so far are healthy!!! God bless all you guys out there........

17 weeks

at my appt today with the peri he said that we are having two girls we have there names picked out and baby a is hailey nichole and baby b is alleya marie. they both weigh about 7 oz and look great but there were two things that caught his eye one was that it looked like the membranne between the two was collapsing and that one had a fuller bladder than the other,,,,,,ttts i am so scared he did not say that I have it at this point he said that it could be the start of it. He wants me to come back on sunday while he is on call at the hospital and he is going to do a quick us and determine what we are going to do to save our babies lives, I am praying that it has stabalized and never turned into ttts please pray for me and my family......all i want is my two little girls here and safe!!!

22 Weeks

Well....So far we are doing great! My peri thinks that my surgery was a sucsess. My babies are a pound a piece and seem to be doing wonderful. I feel movment all day long I can even lay on the couch and watch them move. I have started my shopping this week because the dr seems to think that I will not make it to 36 weeks but he say we will make it....So I am guessing around 32 to 34 weeks. With TTTS you dont go to full term with twins. well some do, I am praying that I am part of that some. I have learned through this preganncy that miracles can happen and do happen you just have to have faith in the good lord above. My girls are truly miracles. I was diagnosed with TTTS at 16 weeks and Had surgery at 18 weeks and I am now going on 23 Weeks.

i guess i am technically going into week 25, but i will defin. post some new belly shots. people still tell me the same, i think it might be their way of trying to compliment me (ive gained 40 lbs, ughh) hope you and the girls are well too. keep me posted

Hey, how's it going? What's new? I just got back from the hospital I had a doctor's appt as they let me out on Monday. I am not home but I am at my parents as they don't live that far from the hospital and I live way too far away. I am so glad to have some final days with Brody. But here is my NEWS I HAVE A DATE! WOOHOO! If I haven't shown up in labor by next Thursday I am being induced. THANK GOD!!! So they will definitley be here sometime Thursday August 14th. I am telling you I am so uncomfortable now. I measured 45 weeks this morning - Yuck LOL! I can't wait to meet my girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went into labor, but didn't even realize it. I had just gone to the doctor for my weekly visit and NST and when he checked me I was 3 cm dilated. I am so glad you are doing so well! Keep taking it easy!! What colors are the nursery?

ha ha ha ha no way....at least i am not the only one having proper random dreams like that then lol. It proper freaked me out i couldn't believe the baby was coming out a tin.....i remember thinking that i couldn't take the baby out cos the placenta was stuck to the inside of the tin lol...i felt like a right freak. Have you had another dreams like that

Hey girl,

How are you doing? What is the latest news? Did you see the show last week on ABC news about TTTS? They showed a couple who had surgery there in Houston. It was a pretty short segment, but I was still glad to see TTTS making national news!

You continue to be in my thoughts.

Hi ya..I know what your saying about the bladder kicking, my baby is "standing" up inside me and always kicks me down there, and cos of the position my husband struggles to feel it, so last night he listened to it instead and ending up feeling it on the side of his face...he was in stitches (i wasnt) i needed to pee lol. Hope the rest goes well for you.....my 1st was nealy almost head down and i got kicked in the ribs.....the bladder is less painfull lol

i get them every 4 weeks for the time being...i would like to have a boy and girl but im told by alot that mine are identical too so it dont matter to me what they are, i just want to know ...i go to the doctor the 11th and ill be 16 weeks so i hope they can tell me then...one moves alot so maybe ill get lucky

Hey, Thanks :) My husband and Brody are coming to spend the day with me today so that is great. His parents have gone home today and my parents have both gone on holidays so the girls will likely come soon since we have no family to look after Brody! My husband has been really great through everything and since he is not in hospital like me he is keeping a much more rational mind than I am :) He keeps telling me the doctors feel it is better for the girls, which at the end of the day I guess I feel so too but I am also really on the fence that I think it isn't so black and white which is probably due to the lack of patience I have left - LOL! They have told me they will have no effects of TTTS and that they may spend a week in the Special Care Nursery (no NICU time) as growers and feeders if they are born before 35 weeks. They may need lights for jaundice and most likely will have to take some feeds for a few days from a tube as that is really the only issue they will have stopping them from going home. They may not suck properly in order to breastfeed right away or bottle feed or they may get too tired to do all of their feeds that way so they will be there until they can breastfeed or bottle feed all of their feeds each day. HOW EXCEITING TO HAVE TWINS!!!!! I WASNT EXSPECTING IT, IT WAS A SUPRISE. MY GIRLS ARE FERTERNAL TWINS. THEY ARE BOTH A LITTLE OVER 4 POUNDS A PIECE NOW. IM SO SCARED BEING A NEW MOM AND ALL OH PLUS STRUGGLING WITH 2 BABYS AT THE SAME TIME. WHAT ARE YOUR WORRIES?

I just got back to my room from my u/s and I am so not happy! I haven't seen a doctor yet which is frustrating because I am used to going to the doctor's right after the u/s but now I am here so I guess I have to wait for one to come around and see me. : ( Abbey has hardly grown in 2 weeks she is 4 1/2 lbs and Charley has grown over a lb and is 5 1/2 lbs. Abbey was 4 lb 3 oz last time so she has hardly grown and her fluid is super low again. I am leaking stuff today too and just showeed the nurse so I am waiting to fined out if it is fluid or not. I just want the doctor to come in and say we are inducing you. I have had enough and I want Abbey out! Anyway, I'll get back to you when I know more. I will just sit and feel sorry for myself now!!!!!!!!!!!! WAAAAA!

Hey, that's great news! See everything is going to work out just fine!!!! On the 36 week thing...if only we had a crystal ball! I guess all I can say is that I didn't think I would still be sitting here at 34 & 2 still pregnant. I definitely didn't think I woul dmake 36 but watch, even though I don't believe it, I may end up being induced at 36 weeks + LOL! What week did you have your son? Were u induced or c-sec or went into labor on your own? Anyway, I am so glad to hear all is great! Happy painting!!!!!!!!!!!!

They're doing really well. Growing and moving a lot lately. Last appt they were 1 lb 5 oz and 1 lb 6 oz. Both are still head down! They like to use my tummy as a punching bag now - and I love it! I'm starting to have a few more of the "icky" pregnancy symptoms - the bad heartburn, leg cramps (one almost made me cry last night) and shortness of breath (even if I'm not doing anything)
But nothing I can't deal with. It'll all be worth it in the end.

Woohoo - I love planning the nursery thats'my favorite part! Have u picked the bedding? We bought this set from Wal Mart I love it http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8587260
We did the 3D (you can check them out on my page). We were told between 21 and 24 weks was best for twinsand we went around 23.5 but I think I would have waited until 26 or so. I don't know why but I think when I see singletons that usually have it done later they look a little better but you can't wait too long or they say it is crowded. I would definitely recomment it though as we wouldn't have done it for 1 baby but thought what a neet thing to show them when they are older - how they looked in utero together.
